This makes the game actually playable! Thank you, the original settings are awful, so much understeer and over correcting just seemed to send the car into over steer but now it’s very playable and still feels fairly real
For anyone who is missing settings below vibration scale try this. So if you are using a contoller with your wheel try this, make sure the wheel is in use and then stop driving. Go into advance setting using the buttons on the wheel NOT the controller and that should swap them over from controller to wheel advanced setings. That should get your extra setting to appear. Hope it helps cheers.
@@vignjevicalex did more research into this and figured out it isn't g hub. Try this , when in main game menu use THE WHEEL BUTTONS to navigate to your advanced setting. Them scroll down and you will or should see the extra settings,. If you touch the game pad it defaults to its advance settings not the wheels. So use the wheel to navigate to your advanced settings and then set them . Hope that helps. 🤞
Dude….I’ve been racing console racers with a wheel for a couple years now. I Watch any video I can explaining the settings even after I have mine set. And This is honestly the best tutorial video on the settings I have seen for any forza game. Straight to the point, put it into words most of us understand. great video. Definitely a must watch for any new user too a wheel
You did exactly what I hoped you would. You didn't just give out settings and say 'use this and you'll be set', but explained the settings, and that its different from person to person.
After the update these settings are amazing The off-road feel makes you feel like you're getting tossed around, and when you come to a stop you're steering wheel has an exorcism
Thank you so much for this video, the driving experience in this game is now 10x better, I no longer spin out on every corner and the force feedback feels pretty great for a horizon title using the g923 setup!
This was massively helpful to me, before I watched this video my car was undriveable. Now every single car I get drives nice and smooth, and is manageable, and finally fun to drive with all their unique characteristics. Thank you for showing me how to make my new wheel and game fun.
Tyvm for making this game real again. I love the G920 but I really thought I was going to have to play the controller. You my friend really made this game enjoyable. Again TYVM
Im on Xbox with a G920 everything simulation seriously for more realistic settings try this..... CENTER SPRING SCALE - 0.1 WHEEL DAMPER SCALE - 1.0 MECHANICAL TRAIL SCALE - 1.0 FORCE FEEDBACK MINIMUM FORCE - 0.5 FORCE FEEDBACK LOAD SENSITIVITY - 1.1 ROAD FEEL SCALE - 1.5 OFF-ROAD FEEL SCALE - 0.6 I have been messing with it for a week and this is the best i have come up with..... Thank you so much dude, I tried playing for the first time today with my G29 on PC and boy did I have a hard time since I’m so used to assetto corsa and gran turismo. Explaining each component really helped, gonna have to dig deep the next time I play and mess around with the settings to my liking.
Dude you are such a life saver. I was getting so pissed at the game trying to play with my G920 on Series X until I saw this. I think the few knobs being set to 2.0 make all the difference in the world with FH5,
I'm going to try this when I get home. I hope it works because I also could not drive the car for my life. I would spin out on every turn and I couldn't figure out why. I switched to controller and won every race without even trying.
I just got my G923 for the Series X and cannot thank you enough for this video. Great explanation on the settings and it really helped me find what was the best setup for me.
I just got the g920 and used this video to set it up and I’m honestly blown away by how much fun and how well it responds and plays! Thank you for the help
Anyone on the g920 like me with the super stiff brake pedal I would suggest putting down the breaking outside deadzone a little so you can actually get full breaking pressure instead of ~80%. Unless you replaced that rubber piece or have worn it down through use.
This changed the whole game for me, it is now playable and enjoyable. I have tweaked my settings from yours and really have it dialed in now for my play style. No more spinning out all the time. Thanks!! (Logitech G29)
This is amazing. I’ve been struggling for weeks trying to understand these stupid settings. The factory settings on forza for this wheel are garbage! Much appreciated
These settings should not work, but they do. These settings go against every other recommendation I’ve seen from every other video yet these are the ONLY ones that make cornering without assists possible. One thing is that increasing the linearity makes the steering more sensitive around the middle, not less… you are right on the setting tho. 58 makes it so the car is recoverable right when it begins to slide. Great video and thank you.
his settings makes the car easier to drive ingame, but it is TERRIBLY unrealistic if you have driven an actual car... with these settings so high, it feels like the force feedback is fighting with you..
Appreciate it. The game was undrivable with my G920 as my car kept oversteering. Now with your settings, I am running decent lap times and it's only my first day playing the game. The wheel still has an oddly "loose" feeling until the car starts moving.
I just put my entire set up together and was so excited to play, but I was just not understanding how it was so difficult to drive a damn car in a video game. 😂
my center spring scale isn’t working and it’s all the way up ? it was working then it randomly stopped, can’t feel the wait of the car at all, i have all the force feedbacks on max and i don’t feel anything
It amazes me that the Forza games have such horrible default wheel settings. Your settings are pretty similar to the ones I came up with for my G27. I'm still not satisfied with them but they are at least tolerable. Hopefully future patches make these wheels handle somewhat better. Thanks for the video, btw.
These are amazing settings. Out of all the forza games. These settings makes this feel amazing. I’m blown away. Everything feels perfect. Steering and feedback is great.
Wow I can finally play the game with the wheel!! Thanks a ton. Last video I tried was bullocks. I thought that was as good as it got. Changing the center spring scale, wheel damper scale and mec hanical trail scale to 2.0 did it
Broooo you are the best I been using this G920 since Horizon 4 and I never like it, but with this settings OMG is sickkkkkk Thanks a lot! I just Suscribe.
center spring and dampening should be turned off, they are only direct effects and just muddy the the force feedback, i found it caused a ton of clipping, and when the wheel is clipping its at full force and unable to feed anymore detail to the motors , so you will lose bumps in the road and "feel" in general. I wish they would make the Min Force an actual numerical value like it should be like in Assetto Corsa. It should be set to a max force your wheel can produce so the game will not exceed that setting, thus preventing clipping and maintaining detail in the FFB. My g27 can hold 2nm steady, so in Assetto i have it set to 2nm....dont understand it in FH5. Great video though :)
When you say off I should lessen the value in forza, instead of increasing like he did in video? If so that’s how I had fm7 and fh4 and something feels funny with fh5 but when cars are tuned right it feels much better guess I’ll have to mess with This more tomorrow
I use a Thrustmaster TMX and this video saved the game for me. It was horrible with the default settings. The only thing i did different is the steering linearity. I set it to 27 and it works fine for me.
