I have tried every g920 settings video for forza horizon 5 trust me these settings are the best to use. it will take about a week to get use to but i came from controller first time ever using a wheel for me. Hands down these are the right settings. remember you are not going to jump on a wheel and be perfect it takes practice.. THANK YOU Steve for sharing these settings

@@isidroegas9086 if you have the shifter add on, you shift to neutral, push down on the shift knob, and do the movement of shifting to 6th If not just use your paddles to shift all the way down

Dude, thanks so much. My wheel return to center was non functioning. After watching your vid I noticed several sttings you were showing weren’t there on mine so I unplugged everything, rebooted, re connected my wheel and restarted H5 and went to wheel settings and hurrah, my setting choices available now matched yours. Went back to game and low and behold all was well, if not better than the driving experience in H4. I did have an issue where using your blueprint in a festival challenge (a dirt weekly challenge I think) did not give credit for completion. Keep making those videos! 👏👏👍
The race was not allowed and had to be a race in game. Posted a pin comment on the video about it because I guess Playground Games don't like players having an easy choice LOL Glad the wheel works for you and I do agree that it is better than FH4. You may need to reduce the force feedback and centring a few steps. Just don't reduce them too much as it can cause wheel oscillation 👍 Good luck to you and your nephew, and thanks for watching

Make sure your wheel is plugged into the mains supply. Make sure your game is updated to the latest version. Make sure you've selected WHEEL in the CONTROLLER option. Turn your Xbox off by pressing and holding the power button for 10 seconds. Turn back on using the Xbox button on the wheel. (this clears the game cache and can correct some of the installation bugs)

LOL - glad I could help! If your boy ever struggles too much with the brake paddle try swapping the button mapping for the clutch and switch gear to manual. There will be no need to use the clutch to change gear and the brake will be so much easier to press with it being the clutch pedal 👍 Stay safe and play awesome 😍

Start with a good B-Class build like a Subaru. Turn on simulation steering as the wheel is rubbish without it. Start with loop circuit RIVALS events and pick a really easy rival. Learn to ease on and off the gas when you need to and don't go to heavy on the gas when coming out of turns. Full throttle when your wheel is straight. Other than all that it is simply 'practise makes perfect'
Hey! So I just got this wheel for Christmas and it’s definitely different to what I expected. The main thing I’m confused about is the vibration. Firstly, I’m not rlly getting any vibration when I drift or skid, or when I smash into things (when I used the controller it was a smooth and consistent vibration). Also the vibration off-road feels super clunky and it feels like the wheel is rattling a lot…is that supposed to happen or are their settings i can change to make it smooth like the controller did??
Have you inputted all the settings in this video? The wheel can feel different to each individual based on their sensitivity and strength. You may need to decrease some of the scales until it feels right for you, but only reduce them a couple of steps at a time as reducing them too much can cause wheel oscillation. The settings I have in this video are as balanced as I could get them as I had my children to try them out on to see if they could drive with these settings in the game, as well as myself.

Try some grippy tunes for the cars you like to drive and you'll soon get the hang of the wheel. Also, go from C-Class to B then A and so on. Another thing to consider is the speed of the car; faster cars will use less steering angle than slower cars and I like to adjust my deadzones to suit. My wheel seems really sensitive still. Like the second I loose traction in a turn, I spin 100%. I'm usually in the top 3% of most rival leaderboards, and I don't typically have issues controlling the car. Any ideas what I might want to change? Also, it feels like my brakes barely function. Like I have to full force push the break pedal in order to brake even remotely as well as I do with the controller. Is that just a common thing with the G920?
The G920 has one of the worst brakes on a wheel. There are videos on TH-cam showing you how to mod the wheel for improved braking but you can risk voiding the warranty. Another option is to switch the brake for the clutch and just use the paddle with shifting without clutch. I just turn up the brake linearity so I don't have to press the brake all the way in for 100% brake. The spinning out is just something you need to learn to handle. With the controller you can adjust the car quicker and stronger with a quick flick left and right; with the wheel you have to travel a full turn left and right which is slower (unless you have speedy arms). Learn to slow down going into corners and only hit the gas when the wheel is straight. Also, throttle control is key. Don't go full gas coming out of a corner as this is one of the main reasons for spinning out. The wheel takes practise and took me a couple of months to get into the top 1% using the wheel on rivals. Hi thank your for your Video. I have a small issue on my Series X. I plugged in my g923 wheel and it works fine but i cannot adjust any of the force feedback scales like in your Video. For me the settings stop on vibration scale... what am i doing wrong?

If you look in the video you can see the controller tab and wheel tab. All the extra settings are in the wheel tab. If you don't see this tab you may need to do a power cycle with only the wheel connected and no other controller

Its hard to actually drive with this. Its excellent though. How do you make it stop trying to move the wheel when you are driving at high speeds? I just want it to be smooth with nothing tugging on it.
It's easy to drive with this 🤔 I do daily shorts using these settings and they work fine 😎 However, if you want less force in your wheel you need to reduce each of the following by 1 step at a time until it feels right for you: MECHANICAL TRAIL SCALE FORCE FEEDBACK MINIMUM FORCE FORCE FEEDBACK LOAD SENSITIVITY ROAD FEEL SCALE Taking them down more than 1 step at a time can drastically change the FFB effect. @@STEVEtheP1R4TE I would have man but the dang "open box new" system i bought included a laptop power cable with a 45 degree bend. I used my LCD monitor cable on it and the laptop cable on my monitor and it fried my monitor which was cheap anyway and i had it for over 7 years. But still these companies on eBay are full of shit it was 259 dollars, like 30 less than a brand new one. It was fun while it lasted but I'm taking it back. It was Big Deals on eBay don't ever shop there. Lol

I have the G920 as well and a Xbox series X but the only game that I have issues with my steering wheel staying connected are the Forza horizon games but I can play dirt as long as I want and it won't disconnect. I don't understand and would really like to get down to the bottom of why it keeps recalibrating. Thank You.
Try the following: - completely quit the Forza game so it doesn't hang in Quick Resume - update Forza and your Xbox - turn your Xbox off by pressing and holding the power button for 10 seconds - turn back on using the Xbox button on the wheel (do not have any other controller connected) - boot up the Forza game with the wheel - calibrate wheel how you need to - complete a race - quit the game so it doesn't hang in Quick Resume - boot up the game again and see if your settings have saved. If this does not work, you may have the G920 bug that is still happening in FH4 and FH5 for some players. I had it at first but did all the above and now my wheel works perfect
@@0nemanartis430 depends on the car and how fast it is. I have most S2 Class cars set between 540 and 600. B Class and lower at 720. 900 just doesn't feel right for me in Horizon games
Turn on Simulation Steering if you haven't already. Use the settings in this video and you should be good! If you're spinning out you need to learn to control the car better 👍
Hey your settings are so good but one thing is the force feedback supposed to be feel hard at times like it heavy as thats what i get with most cars and is this like a real car sorry if its a dumb question
I'd give it a go. Just don't turn it down too low as it can cause wheel oscillation. I have my FFB pretty strong because I like to know where the can't wants to go and I can tell it "NO" you're going this way lol
Layout is tricky with some wheels as the drivers were never updated to include all the buttons on G29/G920. If it won't let you remap in the wheel settings then you probably can't. Maybe check the forums for mods that could help
I know it’s been a while since this video but under my settings I don’t have any further settings beyond vibration scale. So we can’t change the vibration scale. Any idea why I wouldn’t have these? I have the Logitech 920. Thanks

With no other controller connected - update the game - update the console - turn the console off by pressing and holding the power button for 10 seconds - turn the console on using the Xbox button on the wheel - boot up FH5 using the wheel - make sure the wheel is the primary controller
If on Xbox: - turn your console off by pressing and holding the power button for 10 seconds. Turn back on, let the wheel do its spinny config thing and you should be good. If on PC: - use the Logitech G Hub software to setup your wheel and just tweak the settings in game
I just got the g920 today and I tried the setting but the simulation steering keeps just moving around when I try an go straight do you know how I can fix it?

The settings within the G Hub software are supposed to be better than the ones in game so you're best setting up your wheel in there and then tweak the settings in game. I'm not so sure on the settings for G Hub as I'm only on console
I have the steering outside dead zone set to 50 on my G923 it seems to match the animation of the in game driver. Do you do anything different to the tuning of the car for the wheel?

No. The paddles are gear up (R, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 ,10) and gear down (10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, R). The brake pedal is the brake pedal, unless you change it in the key bindings
Hello I have a question, I have the steeringwheel with the pedals and the shifter but I can’t use the clutch pedal realistically. The car shifts without using it without stalling and I just have a feeling that the clutch pedal isn’t doing anything. The main reason I bought the set is to learn how to drive manual with clutch
Horizon is very arcade racer and not a sim. If you want to learn driving with a manual you are best trying games like Project Cars 2, Assetto Corsa, Forza Motorsport 7 or Dirt Rally 2.0. Even Assetto Corsa Competizione. The clutch in Horizon 5 works but not that good like you say. It's decent for drifting with the wheel and learning to clutch kick but you'll never stall the car as it has a sort of automatic override to make the game more accessible to a wider audience.
Help!! I just got my G920 on xbox and even with all the same settings as you, my car turns way too much even with just a slight turn on the steering wheel. There is not steering sensitivity setting that I can find. Any ideas what I can do so I can turn the wheel without spinning out with the slightest turn on the wheel?
If you have 100% copied my settings then that shouldn't happen. Maybe change your wheel rotation angle to suit the car? Maybe try calibrating your wheel? Are you spinning out in a RWD because you're hammering the gas and haven't figured out throttle control yet?
Is there something wrong if the steering wheel is oscillating back and forth violently or is this normal for this setting? I like the feel of it - minus the wheel feeling like it’s going to jerk out of my hand if I let go for .01 seconds.
If you used all the settings in this video you wouldn't experience that. The oscillating is usually down to FFB and centring set too low or too high where the wheel can't calculate a happy balance
hey do you know how to fix the force feedback? my g920 will just have the center spring active (like it would be just in standby) and no feedback at all.. but i can drive ... in other games the ffb works fine .. plss i hope you have a fix for that.. and no the disconnect en reconnect doesnt work

I can’t access most of those settings such as the force feedback so my wheel just goes bazzerk when trying to use it and almost breaks your wrist any ideas on how I can fix this
Make sure you have selected the wheel tab and not controller. Also, ensure your wheel is compatible. If on PC, have G Hub running before booting up the game if using a Logitech wheel.
I had to turn the centering way down to like 0.2 for my son. It just tries to correct itself waaayyy too much. It also slides out of control way too eaisly. Esp off road! I had to turn standard instead of simulation and turn traction control on. Are there any updated settings?
I've used these settings with my two boys and my wife before uploading the video to see if they would suit a few more drivers than just me. The whole family found these settings to be great for them and I've used these settings since release. The issue with the wheel is that it won't be the same for everyone. Some players may not have the strength to cope with the feedback and some players will find it too loose. All I can suggest is that you take a look at the centring and force feedback and try reducing them a couple of steps at a time until it feels right for you. Don't reduce them too much as this can cause wheel oscillation and remember that what feels right for you with the wheel may feel completely different for your son
@@STEVEtheP1R4TE yes we've gotten it setup good for him. Its just all new for him so he kinda stopped playing for a bit recently. I'm sure he'll get back into it. I have to make the brake easier to press in also. It's way too hard for him

Thanks!! Finally the G920 is enjoyable to use with these settings... Have been trying settings from other videos, but those were on pc. I guess due to the missing steering sensitivity option on Xbox those didn't work very well for me. Right now I'm using max class A (mostly AWD) cars with tunes for Grip. I'm struggling with faster classes, they oversteer very easily and spin out. Do you have any car recommendations? Then I'll try your tunes on those.
Really happy the settings are working for awesome peeps like yourself 👍 As soon as you start jumping into S1 and higher you need to start half-throttling quite a lot when coming out of bends. Fast in, slow out. Stick with A Class until it becomes almost too easy then bump up to S1. It'll be challenging but it's nice to have something else to keep you engaged with the game that you can improve upon. A lot of my tunes are base tunes that are good all round cars as I don't like cars that are too grippy and take away the fun of the game. If it's easy it's boring.

Yeah, I was driving around with a big smile on my face yesterday evening after so being frustrated that I switched back to controller 😁 I do enjoy driving C, B and A class cars. So sticking to those when playing with the wheel. Was trying to find a way to find a list of all C, B and A class cars you have created tunes for, but don't think there is a way to do that. If there is a list somewhere please let me know because you're playing the game exactly like how I like to play it and you obviously know what you're doing 👍
I'm slowly working through the cars based on the challenges in the playlists. I'm still mostly playing with stock build cars. I can't see a key bind for neutral so I don't think so. Anything over 6 would need switching to paddles or you would need to buy a different USB shifter that is compatible
Yes they will. I use these settings all the time when I use the wheel. The only thing you'll need to change is the deadzone outside for steering. This will need decreasing for faster cars like S2 Class road cars as they require less angle for cornering 👍

Great settings bro! I've been doing some A class touge at the volcano and I was struggling to keep up with quick controller players for a while now. These settings provide so much more precision steering then what I had before. Great job!

The settings you shared for Forza Horizon 4 worked perfectly, and it drove like a dream, unfortunately when using this setup i cannot control the cars like i could using your settings in 4, its like im battling with the wheel. @@STEVEtheP1R4TE This is a very honest review right here for anyone looking for the best steering wheel settings. I’m 100% new to playing with steering wheels after getting one this Christmas and today was the first day I’ve gotten to use it. I’ve watched about 20 different videos trying every one of the settings they recommended and not one of them helped me at all unlike the settings shown in the video. I couldn’t even stay in a straight line long enough for me to even feel comfortable entering a race. Im not saying that it was plug and play either I definitely wanted to throw my steering wheel a few times but after about an honest 40min to an hour I was winning races. Though I do recommend going from at least a C class vehicle and working your way up until your comfortable.
I noticed you have a lot more setting in advanced settings. I have the G920 and it doesn’t show force feed back for me or anything know what the problem could be ?

Hi, I'm trying to configure G920 Logitech on FH5 xbox Series X, but for some reason i don't have as many advanced control settings as you have on yours. Mine stops at the vibration scale slide and no other sliders below. Cannot find anything on the internet with regard to this issue. Can you perhaps assist? Thank you

This is my first day using a wheel setup, I don’t know if it’s just me or what but when I come out of turns or try to keep straight the wheel wants to center itself a little over the top and makes the car lose traction. Any advice?
You can reduce the Centre Spring Scale a few steps at a time until it feels right for you. Just be careful that you don't reduce it too much as low values on some settings can cause wheel oscillation
Hi mate just used your setting for my g920 I got recently and there are great. But when I use my shifter the clutch is A not the actual clutch pedal how do I solve this problem keep up the good content mate 👍

With these settings you get some good realism but remember FH5 is an arcade racer where cars can jump off cliffs and keep rolling. Far from real hahaha. Also, some of the car builds are just crazy and a real car would never handle like that. For a more realistic feel I'd go with Forza Motorsport or DiRT Rally 2.0. Best to Google those answers. These settings are for G920 so they're obviously not going to suit your wheel. From what I know the default settings are the best for your wheel

Try the following: - update Forza Horizon 5 - fully quit Forza Horizon 5 so it doesn't hang in Quick Resume - make sure your wheel is plugged in to the USB port on your Xbox S (?) and the mains supply - turn your Xbox S off by pressing and holding the power button on the Xbox S for 10 seconds - turn your Xbox S on using the Xbox button on the wheel - boot up Forza Horizon 5 using the buttons on the G920 wheel - navigate to the controller settings and set the G920 wheel as default - do not have any other controller connected during this process

I'm a bit confused, the default layout 1 setting has A button mounted for the Clutch but when I go to remap it to my actual clutch pedal it says it's now mounted to "RS Up" What's the deal with this?
On manual w/clutch i cannot map the clutch to the pedal on Logitech g920. It keeps saying "missing key bindings". What the hell does that mean?? I don't want clutch on the A button.

I have tried every g920 settings video for forza horizon 5 trust me these settings are the best to use. it will take about a week to get use to but i came from controller first time ever using a wheel for me. Hands down these are the right settings. remember you are not going to jump on a wheel and be perfect it takes practice.. THANK YOU Steve for sharing these settings

@@isidroegas9086 if you have the shifter add on, you shift to neutral, push down on the shift knob, and do the movement of shifting to 6th
If not just use your paddles to shift all the way down

Dude, thanks so much. My wheel return to center was non functioning. After watching your vid I noticed several sttings you were showing weren’t there on mine so I unplugged everything, rebooted, re connected my wheel and restarted H5 and went to wheel settings and hurrah, my setting choices available now matched yours. Went back to game and low and behold all was well, if not better than the driving experience in H4. I did have an issue where using your blueprint in a festival challenge (a dirt weekly challenge I think) did not give credit for completion. Keep making those videos! 👏👏👍
The race was not allowed and had to be a race in game. Posted a pin comment on the video about it because I guess Playground Games don't like players having an easy choice LOL

If your boy ever struggles too much with the brake paddle try swapping the button mapping for the clutch and switch gear to manual.
There will be no need to use the clutch to change gear and the brake will be so much easier to press with it being the clutch pedal 👍

Start with a good B-Class build like a Subaru. Turn on simulation steering as the wheel is rubbish without it. Start with loop circuit RIVALS events and pick a really easy rival. Learn to ease on and off the gas when you need to and don't go to heavy on the gas when coming out of turns. Full throttle when your wheel is straight. Other than all that it is simply 'practise makes perfect'

Hey! So I just got this wheel for Christmas and it’s definitely different to what I expected. The main thing I’m confused about is the vibration. Firstly, I’m not rlly getting any vibration when I drift or skid, or when I smash into things (when I used the controller it was a smooth and consistent vibration). Also the vibration off-road feels super clunky and it feels like the wheel is rattling a lot…is that supposed to happen or are their settings i can change to make it smooth like the controller did??
Have you inputted all the settings in this video?
The wheel can feel different to each individual based on their sensitivity and strength. You may need to decrease some of the scales until it feels right for you, but only reduce them a couple of steps at a time as reducing them too much can cause wheel oscillation.
The settings I have in this video are as balanced as I could get them as I had my children to try them out on to see if they could drive with these settings in the game, as well as myself.

Try some grippy tunes for the cars you like to drive and you'll soon get the hang of the wheel.
Also, go from C-Class to B then A and so on.
Another thing to consider is the speed of the car; faster cars will use less steering angle than slower cars and I like to adjust my deadzones to suit.

My wheel seems really sensitive still. Like the second I loose traction in a turn, I spin 100%. I'm usually in the top 3% of most rival leaderboards, and I don't typically have issues controlling the car. Any ideas what I might want to change? Also, it feels like my brakes barely function. Like I have to full force push the break pedal in order to brake even remotely as well as I do with the controller. Is that just a common thing with the G920?
The G920 has one of the worst brakes on a wheel.
There are videos on TH-cam showing you how to mod the wheel for improved braking but you can risk voiding the warranty. Another option is to switch the brake for the clutch and just use the paddle with shifting without clutch. I just turn up the brake linearity so I don't have to press the brake all the way in for 100% brake.
The spinning out is just something you need to learn to handle. With the controller you can adjust the car quicker and stronger with a quick flick left and right; with the wheel you have to travel a full turn left and right which is slower (unless you have speedy arms). Learn to slow down going into corners and only hit the gas when the wheel is straight. Also, throttle control is key. Don't go full gas coming out of a corner as this is one of the main reasons for spinning out.
The wheel takes practise and took me a couple of months to get into the top 1% using the wheel on rivals.

If you look in the video you can see the controller tab and wheel tab. All the extra settings are in the wheel tab.
If you don't see this tab you may need to do a power cycle with only the wheel connected and no other controller

Its hard to actually drive with this. Its excellent though. How do you make it stop trying to move the wheel when you are driving at high speeds? I just want it to be smooth with nothing tugging on it.
It's easy to drive with this 🤔 I do daily shorts using these settings and they work fine 😎
However, if you want less force in your wheel you need to reduce each of the following by 1 step at a time until it feels right for you:
MECHANICAL TRAIL SCALE
FORCE FEEDBACK MINIMUM FORCE
FORCE FEEDBACK LOAD SENSITIVITY
ROAD FEEL SCALE
Taking them down more than 1 step at a time can drastically change the FFB effect. You could try 2 at a time but I wouldn't go any higher.

I used my LCD monitor cable on it and the laptop cable on my monitor and it fried my monitor which was cheap anyway and i had it for over 7 years. But still these companies on eBay are full of shit it was 259 dollars, like 30 less than a brand new one. It was fun while it lasted but I'm taking it back. It was Big Deals on eBay don't ever shop there. Lol

I have the G920 as well and a Xbox series X but the only game that I have issues with my steering wheel staying connected are the Forza horizon games but I can play dirt as long as I want and it won't disconnect. I don't understand and would really like to get down to the bottom of why it keeps recalibrating. Thank You.
Try the following:
- completely quit the Forza game so it doesn't hang in Quick Resume
- update Forza and your Xbox
- turn your Xbox off by pressing and holding the power button for 10 seconds
- turn back on using the Xbox button on the wheel (do not have any other controller connected)
- boot up the Forza game with the wheel
- calibrate wheel how you need to
- complete a race
- quit the game so it doesn't hang in Quick Resume
- boot up the game again and see if your settings have saved.
If this does not work, you may have the G920 bug that is still happening in FH4 and FH5 for some players. I had it at first but did all the above and now my wheel works perfect

going to try these settings on pc - what is the default steering angle on xbox? 900 degrees or 540?
You can run 540 degrees from software on the PC, but the steering lock in-game remains unchanged, so your ratio would differ from the default.

I have most S2 Class cars set between 540 and 600.
B Class and lower at 720.

These are base settings.
If you need to adjust anything like the FFB strength then just turn down FFB a few steps at a time until it feels right 👍

I'd give it a go. Just don't turn it down too low as it can cause wheel oscillation. I have my FFB pretty strong because I like to know where the can't wants to go and I can tell it "NO" you're going this way lol

Increase the Mechanical Trail a step when you decrease the FFB but never keep them any more than 7 steps apart 👍

Layout is tricky with some wheels as the drivers were never updated to include all the buttons on G29/G920.
If it won't let you remap in the wheel settings then you probably can't.
Maybe check the forums for mods that could help

- update the game

- boot up FH5 using the wheel
- make sure the wheel is the primary controller

The settings within the G Hub software are supposed to be better than the ones in game so you're best setting up your wheel in there and then tweak the settings in game.

I have the steering outside dead zone set to 50 on my G923 it seems to match the animation of the in game driver. Do you do anything different to the tuning of the car for the wheel?
Not really.
The animations are very poor for the steering in car so I usually use the cockpit view without the wheel.

Hold the brake down and once you've come to a complete stop you will then start to reverse. Best to use the paddle shifters to be honest

No. The paddles are gear up (R, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 ,10) and gear down (10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, R).
The brake pedal is the brake pedal, unless you change it in the key bindings
Hello I have a question, I have the steeringwheel with the pedals and the shifter but I can’t use the clutch pedal realistically. The car shifts without using it without stalling and I just have a feeling that the clutch pedal isn’t doing anything. The main reason I bought the set is to learn how to drive manual with clutch
Horizon is very arcade racer and not a sim.
If you want to learn driving with a manual you are best trying games like Project Cars 2, Assetto Corsa, Forza Motorsport 7 or Dirt Rally 2.0. Even Assetto Corsa Competizione.
The clutch in Horizon 5 works but not that good like you say. It's decent for drifting with the wheel and learning to clutch kick but you'll never stall the car as it has a sort of automatic override to make the game more accessible to a wider audience.
Help!! I just got my G920 on xbox and even with all the same settings as you, my car turns way too much even with just a slight turn on the steering wheel. There is not steering sensitivity setting that I can find. Any ideas what I can do so I can turn the wheel without spinning out with the slightest turn on the wheel?
If you have 100% copied my settings then that shouldn't happen.
Maybe change your wheel rotation angle to suit the car?
Maybe try calibrating your wheel?
Are you spinning out in a RWD because you're hammering the gas and haven't figured out throttle control yet?

I like the feel of it - minus the wheel feeling like it’s going to jerk out of my hand if I let go for .01 seconds.
If you used all the settings in this video you wouldn't experience that. The oscillating is usually down to FFB and centring set too low or too high where the wheel can't calculate a happy balance

Make sure you have selected the wheel tab and not controller.
Also, ensure your wheel is compatible.
If on PC, have G Hub running before booting up the game if using a Logitech wheel.
I had to turn the centering way down to like 0.2 for my son. It just tries to correct itself waaayyy too much. It also slides out of control way too eaisly. Esp off road! I had to turn standard instead of simulation and turn traction control on. Are there any updated settings?
I've used these settings with my two boys and my wife before uploading the video to see if they would suit a few more drivers than just me. The whole family found these settings to be great for them and I've used these settings since release.
The issue with the wheel is that it won't be the same for everyone. Some players may not have the strength to cope with the feedback and some players will find it too loose.
All I can suggest is that you take a look at the centring and force feedback and try reducing them a couple of steps at a time until it feels right for you. Don't reduce them too much as this can cause wheel oscillation and remember that what feels right for you with the wheel may feel completely different for your son
@@STEVEtheP1R4TE yes we've gotten it setup good for him. Its just all new for him so he kinda stopped playing for a bit recently. I'm sure he'll get back into it. I have to make the brake easier to press in also. It's way too hard for him
Hope you reply to this but my settings don’t show anything past the vibration scale. Any ideas on how to get the rest of the settings?
if on PC:
- install the Logitech G Hub software
- update your wheel's firmware
- update the drivers for the wheel
- update FH5
- fully power down your PC
- boot up your PC and start the game using the wheel
If on Xbox:
- update FH5
- turn your console off by pressing and holding the power button for 10 seconds
- turn your console back on using the Xbox button on the wheel
-- boot up FH5 using the wheel
All should be good

Input Mapping and choose a custom setup so you can assign whatever buttons you want as whatever you want. Just don't double map buttons

Thanks!! Finally the G920 is enjoyable to use with these settings... Have been trying settings from other videos, but those were on pc. I guess due to the missing steering sensitivity option on Xbox those didn't work very well for me.
Right now I'm using max class A (mostly AWD) cars with tunes for Grip. I'm struggling with faster classes, they oversteer very easily and spin out. Do you have any car recommendations? Then I'll try your tunes on those.

As soon as you start jumping into S1 and higher you need to start half-throttling quite a lot when coming out of bends. Fast in, slow out.
Stick with A Class until it becomes almost too easy then bump up to S1. It'll be challenging but it's nice to have something else to keep you engaged with the game that you can improve upon.
A lot of my tunes are base tunes that are good all round cars as I don't like cars that are too grippy and take away the fun of the game. If it's easy it's boring.

I do enjoy driving C, B and A class cars. So sticking to those when playing with the wheel.
Was trying to find a way to find a list of all C, B and A class cars you have created tunes for, but don't think there is a way to do that. If there is a list somewhere please let me know because you're playing the game exactly like how I like to play it and you obviously know what you're doing 👍
I'm slowly working through the cars based on the challenges in the playlists. I'm still mostly playing with stock build cars.
Once the game starts to get stale I will start making tuning content and helping the community tune their own cars.

Great video! Quick question was hoping you could help me with. I’m on Xbox and it seems to input controls it’s always a problem, I can never have the look right and left buttons while having switch camera button, it’s always one or the other. Any suggestions to a proper setup?
For the look right and look left I had to use the controller sat on my leg. No way to properly map them.

for 7th gear on manual + clutch setting.. can i use the paddles to go to 7th gear and put the gear shifter to neutral?
I can't see a key bind for neutral so I don't think so.
Anything over 6 would need switching to paddles or you would need to buy a different USB shifter that is compatible

I’m looking for settings that are good for everything cruising, drifting, racing and off-roading oh and force feedback. Will these settings do that?
Yes they will. I use these settings all the time when I use the wheel. The only thing you'll need to change is the deadzone outside for steering. This will need decreasing for faster cars like S2 Class road cars as they require less angle for cornering 👍

Any idea why I am stuck turning to the left with no change when I turn my wheel?
If on Xbox try the following:
Turn off your Xbox by pressing and holding the power button for 10 seconds. Turn back on using the Xbox button on your wheel and let it do its spinning thing.
If on PC:
Use the dedicated Logitech G Hub software and update whatever you can.
If you've used my settings 100% and neither of the above work then you will need to check with Logitech support

Great settings bro! I've been doing some A class touge at the volcano and I was struggling to keep up with quick controller players for a while now. These settings provide so much more precision steering then what I had before. Great job!

The settings you shared for Forza Horizon 4 worked perfectly, and it drove like a dream, unfortunately when using this setup i cannot control the cars like i could using your settings in 4, its like im battling with the wheel.

@@STEVEtheP1R4TE series x, g920 with shifter. Just struggling with cars not turning properly round simple corners at fairly low speeds and automatically over correcting which is causing me to lose control, it just feels so completely different to your set up on FH4

Thank you for the video. I am using G920 on Xbox X. Under Forza Horizon 4 and 5 Settings, Controls, Key Map, the wheel is grayed out and I am not able to select it like you are able to. Any thoughts/help?

- make sure the game is fully updated
- have your wheel plugged into the mains supply and the USB port on the Xbox
- turn your Xbox off by pressing and holding the power button for 10 seconds
- turn the Xbox back on using the Xbox button on the wheel
- boot up the game using the wheel
- navigate to the controls menu and make sure the wheel is set as the primary controller

I’m 100% new to playing with steering wheels after getting one this Christmas and today was the first day I’ve gotten to use it. I’ve watched about 20 different videos trying every one of the settings they recommended and not one of them helped me at all unlike the settings shown in the video. I couldn’t even stay in a straight line long enough for me to even feel comfortable entering a race. Im not saying that it was plug and play either I definitely wanted to throw my steering wheel a few times but after about an honest 40min to an hour I was winning races. Though I do recommend going from at least a C class vehicle and working your way up until your comfortable.
And for all the Trolls out there. Yess I absolutely spammed the hell out of the rewind button and restarted the races. Practice makes perfect.

I noticed you have a lot more setting in advanced settings. I have the G920 and it doesn’t show force feed back for me or anything know what the problem could be ?

Hi, I'm trying to configure G920 Logitech on FH5 xbox Series X, but for some reason i don't have as many advanced control settings as you have on yours. This is my first day using a wheel setup, I don’t know if it’s just me or what but when I come out of turns or try to keep straight the wheel wants to center itself a little over the top and makes the car lose traction. Any advice?
You can reduce the Centre Spring Scale a few steps at a time until it feels right for you. Just be careful that you don't reduce it too much as low values on some settings can cause wheel oscillation
Hi mate just used your setting for my g920 I got recently and there are great. But when I use my shifter the clutch is A not the actual clutch pedal how do I solve this problem keep up the good content mate 👍

By the way it seem like everybody is enjoying your settings. I just purchased the g923 for Xbox it will be here on Friday I’m am wonder will it work good with your settings and will their still be some type of force feedback so it can feel like a real car?

The G923 is amazing. With these settings you get some good realism but remember FH5 is an arcade racer where cars can jump off cliffs and keep rolling. Far from real hahaha. Also, some of the car builds are just crazy and a real car would never handle like that.
For a more realistic feel I'd go with Forza Motorsport or DiRT Rally 2.0.

These settings are for G920 so they're obviously not going to suit your wheel. From what I know the default settings are the best for your wheel
Does that setting work on a G29 with an Xbox S with a DriveHub?
As long as you map the buttons correctly the settings should work. Depends on how well the DriveHub ports the controls

Try the following:
- update Forza Horizon 5
- fully quit Forza Horizon 5 so it doesn't hang in Quick Resume
- make sure your wheel is plugged in to the USB port on your Xbox S (?) and the mains supply
- turn your Xbox S off by pressing and holding the power button on the Xbox S for 10 seconds
- turn your Xbox S on using the Xbox button on the wheel
- boot up Forza Horizon 5 using the buttons on the G920 wheel
- navigate to the controller settings and set the G920 wheel as default
- do not have any other controller connected during this process
I go to settings and force feedback is not showing up as an option to change?
If on xbox make sure you have set the wheel as primary controller.
If on PC download and install the Logitech G Hub software

I'm a bit confused, the default layout 1 setting has A button mounted for the Clutch but when I go to remap it to my actual clutch pedal it says it's now mounted to "RS Up" What's the deal with this?

Power cycle your console and boot it back up just using the wheel.
Remap the controls how you want and then connect your controller.
On manual w/clutch i cannot map the clutch to the pedal on Logitech g920. It keeps saying "missing key bindings". What the hell does that mean?? I don't want clutch on the A button.
