Well I'll say one thing: he doesn't seem to be at all embarrassed to be on camera making those faces! I'm much more of an accent person than animal sounds so it isn't as big a deal to me who's looking, but hats off to him for letting us see the contorted expressions needed to produce the sounds!

Support through body formation and emotions also play a role. To put it simply, it's all because he's not just producing sounds. He's performing.

The more complicated the animal voice, the better he is at it. He's average for doing a dog and cat sound but when it comes to doing a horse a pig and a hamster, he absolutely nails them.
So incredible. Came here during a rewatch of Avatar because I couldn't believe a human being could make all the sounds he does. Didn't even think there'd be such a comprehensive interview with him and lo and behold this was done 2 months ago. Perfect timing.
