You know your gonna like a video when you hear the background music and realize you have the full album. p.s. this is one of those rare videos you can like before watching it, cause its gonna be awaaazzuuummm.
I love much just a little effects can transform otherwise ordinary sounds into something otherworldy. I bet if you added some Convolution reverb or granular synthesis it would get even more insane!
Sh!t, I gotta make one. I have an EH tri-mixer and a Boss RC-5 looper, so I can switch inputs on the fly. Something like this (through the rest of my pedalboard) could be my answer for percussion in my one-man-band.
Pre wired piezo pickup I got off ebay. 4 pack. Sorry I may have cut that part out for some reason. This video was kind of thrown together, to be honest with you.
@@kilgore-recordings yeah, you could use fort mallets and play like a marimba. add fuzz or something or just lots of reverb but cool designs man its really interesting.
is there any chance you have this all written down somewhere so if someone wanted to do it they could? I'm a beginner but this is exactly what i want to make.
Effects come from the pedal, sound comes from the piezo pickup, which captures the sounds of the springs and everything else on the box. You should research how a piezo pickup works. If that doesn't convince you, I will gladly upload another video without any fx pedals, just the noise box and a clean tone on the amp.
@@kilgore-recordings I know how a piezo mic works. I meant the result. I have used piezo microphones countless times. show us a sound example without FX. i think it sounds sobering. but no Offense
@@curtis_chip the magic definitely comes from the effects, but the initial sound input comes from the vibrations through the mic. the box is a starting point and the effects send it home. id wire up two mics though to evenly capture the vibrations tho
Fantastic work! Thanks for showing the build
Glad you liked it!

Nice work and great sounds!!!

Nice work. Incredible device.
pretty good you can make an album with this thing.
thank you, this inspired me to make some unconventional noise from the guitar and loop and layer them!
I have that same little kalimba! Amazon, I guess it was. I like wearing it around my neck on stage. It looks very cool.
Very basic Einstürzende Neubauten 1982 in a cigar box. Very cool.
*Minecraft cave sounds intensify*
Amazing! Sounds Good 🔝👍
i like your noise man, keep on noise man.😊👍
Thanks 👍
Excellent!... for the next step... an prototipe of mini or micro daxophone... Greetings from Madrid!...
That would be awesome, looking into daxophones now. Might just be the next project!
Researching of the spring reverberator
Interresting. A looper would be useful.
I did this with my Kramer night swan playing einsturzende nauibaten in the 80s

She play music and singing very well and beautiful! #MegMyers 👍
Did I just miss the pickup / piezo mic kit being installed? What kind of pickup kit was that?

@@kilgore-recordings Did you put 4 mics in there? Or just one? And its an awesome video thank you
@@Add1sondeSaulenet Just one. I did do some modifications to the box and plan on doing a second video very soon.
@@kilgore-recordings Okay thanks a lot ! That would be cool ! I'm really digging your channel, its really inspiring
@@Add1sondeSaulenet Thank you!
Kick it boi
very cool
Interesting! :) Congrats. :)

I like this !
Massimo Magrini (Bad Sector) will say excellent! 👌
Better then some Electroacustic music songs... The new Jhon Cage is here!!!
Man tha's just amazing
amazing what a few spare parts a box and a reverb can do.
this would work so well with a no input setup
I have some no input stuff on my channel. That's a really good idea and I don't know how i didn't think to try that. Thank you!
Amazing
Thank you! Cheers!
Nice
Bel lavoro ,I LOVE YOU NOISEBOX.Ho costruito la mia NISE BOX CON ALTRO TIPO DI MATERIALE....perche nn Usi atri pedali X chitarra e almeno un LoopER ❤
I have that same kalimba! We are now automatically friends!
This is excellent. Thanks for sharing! Is the large tubing connected to something inside the box? Thanks.
@@dcollett connected to a toy kazoo, although it did not sound as good as I thought it would. I'm sure a different design might work better.
@@kilgore-recordings that’s a clever idea. Probably anything that rotates or vibrates with air pressure would be interesting. Thanks!
12 springs could get you a complete scale. sounds like a bass really.
@daniel-m4q3p not a bad idea for another box design.

Where is the electronic built part?
Santa catalina, por el gusto musical de frankestain.
what gauge copper wire are you using at around 2:45 ??
It's not copper wire, they are actually those huge staples that are used on cardboard boxes.
good
Cool. Thanks
i love it
Midi system oscillator looper and such..
What amp did you use for this?
@Da_Publick Marshall Code. Even though it does have some good fx and presets, I wouldn't really recommend it.
@@kilgore-recordings I did hear others say that, too.

Get a box. Then get a contact mic and a bunch of junk. Screw junk to box then attach contact mic in box. That will be $5.
@@mikegeary8056Well said lol
