- Foley artists use objects to create sounds based on a character’s movements and interactions in movies and TV shows. Sometimes, they will find themselves making sounds for animals. Marko Costanzo is a veteran Foley artist for c5 Sound, Inc. He has who worked on movies like “Ice Age,” “Life of Pi,” and “True Grit.” Costanzo explained how complicated it was to make the sounds of a dragonfly flapping its wings in “Men in Black,” and how he captured the footsteps of a dog at different ages in “Marley & Me.” Then, we showed him an animal clip he has never seen before and had him come up with the proper sounds on the spot.

Novineux ikr and dont forget the stuntman. most of actors aint not doing high risk scenes by themself.
i barely focus on the actors anymore, i think about camera work, coloring, effects, scripts, light. unless it's a movie i want to watch for the story itself then i'd focus on the whole film.
Novineux What exactly is so scary about it?
@@iburahimu3911 it's scary how unfair it is.
what's crazy is that i went on the paramount pictures studio tour, and they have a humongous blue screen (at least 4-5 stories tall) which they use as the sky because the real sky looks fake in movies. i was mindblown

@Hungama Toons They said they use to think that, maybe when they were a kid.. Kids don't know everything genius
I can imagine a future where this becomes a reality to some degree. We already have softwares capable of mimicking a person's voice and even ones that allow those voices to sing. Came here to hear the sounds: NOPE, THE HOST TALKS OVER THEM

Facts
He sounds ded inside too
Plot twist: all sounds from this video was actually made by this legendary man.
I love this guy... seems so passionate about his job
Wait.. So you're telling me the sounds aren't recorded naturally while filming?!
Yes, that scene in the hobbit where they fight the dragon, the dragon was sadly too far away when it was flying, for them to be able to get clear enough sound. The hourly price of renting a dragon is quite extreme, so it's much easier to have this guy make the sounds.
😂😂😂

Melan P: Damn really?? I never thought about that.. I’ve always wondered how they got a greedy dragon to play along
It's an animated film, most of the creatures aren't real and that's why you can't record the sound. An animated film isn't even filmed by real cameras btw.
I seriously wish they'd shown the clip with his sounds added at the very beginning, then I could be stunned at how the sounds were made.
