My guy that is no sniper that is a legit railgun. Get the wonder flask with the increase lighting damage and enhanced skill charge. "Rail gun" easily can get close to 2k damage if they have poor resistance.

You should check out Zamor Curvedsword. The moveset is different than the other curved sword and the ash of war has a lot of poise
I second this. Wish he had a few more fights, I enjoyed watching the duels/invasions even more than his other ones.
It’s terrible. I tried it out because it looked really interesting but it’s just bad.
Its moveset is actually worse than other curved greatswords lol, the 2 handed r1 has a really annoying delay that makes it even easier to roll than a normal curved greatsword

The lightning scorpion talisman also really helps you to get consistent one-shots on tankier builds, even though you sacrifice some of your own protections.
@@williaml7390 fuck yeah, i though i was the only one. invading at lvl 80 with that exact setup, you will one shot literally everyone lol
@@williaml7390 I've been having fun with this build all the way into SL 180 ranges. Some people get that high and still get one shotted.

@@juanca9351 new game level does not affect matchmaking and hasn't since dark souls 3. I think there was even a patch for dark souls 2 toward the end of its life that remedied that as well.

I feel like Godfrey's axe is slightly underrated. Yes, it has a bad normal moveset and weapon scaling, but the r2s changed by the ash of war can do very high damage and catch people off guard
if one of the main benefits of a weapon is that it catches people off guard that usually means its just a gimmick, to be frank. if a ton of people were using it youd see even worse results
Garbage weapon. Might as well use the warped axe if you want that type of weapon lol. There's probably 100 weapons that are better than this horrendous boss reward. Alot of people just get attached to the first thing they find
Greataxes are just so meh... Only greataxe which is fun to use for me is Pickaxe with spear talisman and RKR, just for the sheer disbelief when somebody gets oneshotted in trade :D And even this weapon is labeled as greathammer, but it actually has axe moveset and pairs with axes for powerstance

You should check out the Pike, longest weapon in the game I believe. I've been able to outspace and get in some cheeky hits quite a lot with it in duels, also putting Piercing Fang on it is absolutely hilarious
range doesnt matter when you proper roll. i even got outranged by straight sword with the pike, this is hilarious do to elden ring network...

For the next weapon showcase, you should try the very underused and never seen Helphen Steeple Greatsword.

Oh, this one is a big favorite for sure. Perfect for a Lightning Dex build. So many ways to super-stack the weapon art too, given how it scales from Shard of Alex, Lightning Scorp, Physick, and Godfrey Icon. Last talisman is always a Conceiling Veil for me, one guess as to why.

You can tell how strong the weapon is by how short Chase's video is. Less time equals more demolishment.
From that we see that Vyke great spear is the best weapon in game, followed by moonveil and zweihander... I approve of this method

Love it! I have absolutely adored this weapon since I saw you use it in one of your invasion builds. A nice bonus to this weapon is that it causes enemies to target you (if it doesn't kill them). Thus, thus weapon makes Godskin Duo a piece of cake. Overall, it's a treat to see you weild the Bolt of gransax again

I would love to see a video done on the godskin stitcher. I found it only a week ago after beating the Noble in like my 6th play through, and have been looking for ways to dual wield these ever since!
I remember making a faith build for my first character after watching the trailer. I was disappointed when I found out it doesn’t scale with Faith.
Man I've been hooked on your videos and builds, watching for hours on end daily. You've given me the courage to step into the pvp side of the game which I always avoided. Been trying multiple different weapons/status effects/ ashes of war and I'm loving it. Can't thank you enough for the content and your amazing attitude towards this game. Invading into 3v1's have become my favourite, nothing feels better than taking on 3 people in one invade and watching the host run for his life🤣

Burger King Great Axe
This weapon is so polarising for me. It has probably the coolest weapon art in the entire game, the lore is cool and its design is cool but it's a spear which I hate. Definitely need to do a build with it at some point though. BTW any chance of a DMGS build? It's like the iconic fromsoft weapon and I think its pretty cool and very strong. Love the videos btw, found you through suggestion and have been binging your videos now that I'm on summer break

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the charge attack Physik tear, as well as the talisman, only affects your charged heavies. The Godfrey Icon would be the only thing that affects the charged skill, as well as the Alexander shard.
The talisman counts for charged...incantations only i believe. Thats all i know.

little detail: craqued spiked tear doesn't buff the bolt of gransax AoW ! it only buffs charged R2s (source: some guy in the fextra comments).

I plan on using this in my offhand and dragon king's cragblade for a sort of *Grand Draconic Crucible Knight* build, so that way my enemies can never get away.

If you can, I'd love a showcase on Inseperable Sword. It was the weapon I used to finish the game the first time, it has very decent AR, and just looks real good
I think the charged tear only buffs heavy charged attacks given its symbol in the upper left corner but I'm not sure tbh

i was not positive either, which is why i attempted it in this showcase haha
I was curious so i tested it out, the charged tear does not affect the ash of war
Edit: the charged attack talisman also does not affect it

What would you recommend that is on par with a bleed build. I enjoy strength weapons the most, but when it comes to PVE, I can't find anything stronger than a bleed build.

Fun thing to do with this weapon is it can do easy 180s so if your back turned and you use it they can get caught off guard
In fort sol, you didn't even have to walk up to the edge of the wall, as you jump up before u throw and therefore you could have stayed hidden until it was too late.
Love this weapon. What works for me alot is to throw like 1 or 2 quick non charged bolts and then when theres an opening i throw a fully charged bolt. More often then not they roll on timing of the non charged bolt and the charged bolt roll catches. Good fun.
mogwyn palace 12:30 was epic.. host of fingers watched you one shot one by one, thinking the whole time if it would happen to him... and then, destiny lol
Gonna request it again, just in case it wasn't seen on the last one.
The Pickaxe or the Rusted Anchor with "Lion's Claw" and the Spear Talisman would be really funny considering it will deal Pierce damage + the counter if they try to hit you on top of Lion's Claw being a 240 MV attack.

I find the best way to hit this AoW is do a non-charged one first which they dodge then do a charged one second. So many people dodge expecting the shorter timer and get roll-caught by it.
Or the opposite, a guy caught me by doing multiple fully charged ones then I walked face first into a not charged AoW. Granted this wouldn’t have killed me if I was at full health, but I wasn’t at full health sooo.
Flamburge with Double Strike and Occult please. It's a lot of fun and I think you will enjoy it.

I love using the Trick Mirror with this for invasions. It’s perfect to snipe someone for a random one shot when they have no idea it’s coming

I'd love to see your take on the Guardian Sword Spear or maybe Banished Knight's Great Sword.
Someone might have pointed this out already, but I'm pretty sure the Spiked Cracked Tear (the one that enhances charged attacks) only works on charged heavy attacks, not ashes of war.
I'm pretty sure the charge attack physick only works on charge heavies specifically. Alternatively I would use dexterity increase and lightning damage increase.
Fun namesake speculation, Gransax is clearly a dragon that assaulted the capital the word sax shares an etymology with a knife of similar name, the seax, a German word for cut, which I think is fun for all the ancient dragons I've evaluated the etymology of there names to decent success and found they all can make some amount of sense, but Gran seems to come from the croatian word Grane which means branch, so Gransax, the only dragon to break through the walls of Lyendell, is the branch cutter
would you try any daggers? ik they have terrible range but the black knife is so cool
This was great 😂 for sure throwing this on my dex build 😍 and you just gotta know when to backstab! They still exist just not as great as they used to. Counterfishing is where I get the majority of mine. Like baiting someone into a bs and then when they are caught in the animation then I run around for the booty. The second most bs’ that I land are from strafing running attacks. If you can get around a running attack you can usually land a bs :)

I cleared my first playthrough using the bastard's stars, was a load of fun and had a couple good invasions with the ash of war, hope to see your opinion on it
Hey Chase, what do you think of pairing some of the lower tier weapons with a good offhand to show how you can make them viable? I know that might hurt the spirit of the showcase, but how else are you going to use the bastard stars lol?
he plans on covering every weapon so maybe somewhere down the line we may see power stanced flails

Excited to see yout attempt Darkmoon Greatsword in the future - for most of my playthrough I slept on it, but later discovered it's buffed charged R2 is a med range poise breaking machine in PvE. UNFORTUNATELY is also pretty terrible in PvP. So - would be cool to see a showcase, but unlikely for it to actually be effective due to it's telegraphing.
Did they fix aim correction on uneven surfaces? Because that was one thing that I personally hated to death.
@@Kinnikinnick No they did not! If your target is even at a slight decline from you, it will only fire straight ahead. However, it will hit targets above you. Worked great vs Fire Giant.
castle sol is so good for sniping, jar cannon with gransax and bombs in this area is the most fun I've ever had online in a fromsoft game
What are you doing to do the running back step attacks? I gave it a brief try earlier and failed so gave up very quickly

You shyaould use the Great Épée and the Twinned Knight TwinBlades, using the Épée with Strom Assault is super satisfying to it and the Twinblade with Barbaric Roar is really deadly, especially when you do the R2 attack for the three hit combo.
Very good for ganks since you can lock on one person, but as soon as your about to shoot, change the lock on to another person and they will never what’s coming.

I noticed with backstabs you have to be behind the angle of their feet, not necessarily like in DS - DS3 where you just had to be behind them.

make sure to use war cry and barbaric roar eventually with regular weapons. you could be surprised by the poise! I recommend spears and fists
After I learned about this weapon on my first Faith/Strength playthrough I knew I had to make a Dex character just to use Bolt of Gransax and Dragon King's Cragblade in Invasions. Their Skills do such ridiculous damage and I've hit hosts with the Ancient Lightning Spear Skill for 2150+ before.
I have a serious question, on 13:24 how do you lock onto the blue without turning your character around? When I lock onto someone my character snaps towards them giving away where I’m throwing it. If this is a settings issue any advice would be appreciated.
I’d recommend checking out the royal greatsword. Highest AR ultra I think.

Try out the Brick Hammer found in stormveil. You always see the colossal hammer, would be cool to see something else.
Heyy Chase! Could you try Ghiza's Wheel?? I feel like it's a really underrated weapon, also powerstanced Inquistor's Girandole, which I recently found out is an amazing weapon that's a hidden gem

Do the Omen Cleaver! It has a super fast R2, which you could build around with axe talisman and the charged drink, so if u forget to change ur physick flask, no worries! :)
