Great video mate. Look forward to when you come to overseed bare spots!

Looks good after the 3rd cut 😍 didn't know those cordless bosch unit have a roller , I went for the powerbase 41cm Corded unit that has roller but doesn't make as good stripes than yours

My son has moved into a house with no grass. I put grass seed down at end September and it's growing well and 3 inches long but patchy. Should it be cut now being as its end October? I live in South of England

My reply is slightly late, apologies!
I would have cut it. It will help the lawn to naturally thicken as every time you cut the grass, it encourages more growth and encourages additional blades to develop. If you over seed early spring, you should get some good results.

Hi Novicegardener, im a new homeowner with a big garden and it hasnt been maintained well over the last number of years and has loads of bumbs all over it and im not really sure what to do, my idea is to have it all flat and level and have it bright green, at the moment its not looking great, any advice for DIY, thanks.

Honestly, if I was you, I’d start a fresh. Kill the lawn, get some quality top soil, level it off and seed it. Sounds like a lot of work at first but you’ll definitely get the benefits you’re after. You’ll be able to get cheap top soil too. Avoid getting form a big supplier. Try and contact someone local, you’ll get a much better price. Good luck with whatever you decide to do 👍🏻

@@NoviceGardener OK so you kill the grass there currently, and then top soil it? I was thinking of getting sand and leveling it out? So your thinking is to just kill the lawn now and then the top soil with level it then would it ? Thanks
