I think you are a great presenter. I am looking for my first electric car, and I do like the MG4, which has raving reviews. However nobody has mentioned that the 7 year warranty is a diminishing warranty and in reality its only a 3 year warranty according to MG downloaded warranty. Which in my mind reduces its appeal.

Really interesting. I live in France and have just got the updated Dacia Spring Expression. Small and nippy, big boot. Very little space for rear passengers, but actually apart from the dog, nobody sits in the back. Country lanes mainly, so nippy enough. Rear view parking camera, Apple car play and Android Auto. Love it.

The Citroen Ami has one thing right, which is that it doesn't offer any in car entertainment other than a bluetooth speaker. Anything more elaborate would eat into their meagre 70 km range.
When I am finally forced to buy an electric vehicle, the top speed - unless seriously below the motorway limit - and the 0-100 time - will be the last of my worries.
Purchase cost. range and charge times are probably most people's priorities and manufacturers need to focus on those first.

I took the MG for a test drive last autumn. I thought it was great. I'm not sure why there is so much focus on the exact quality of plastics used - I couldn't care less and am totally uninterested in luxury. Give me something that's comfortable, enjoyable to drive and is practical in terms of ferrying people or things. My test for any car is whether I can get my bike in the back with the seats folded down (haven't tested the MG for this).

    What...

You seem to miss the number 1 in the list mate... MG 4 EV is as Chinese EV it can get. It is a very good EV.

The MG is Chinese. Purchasing one is effectively saying you are supporting and financing the threats and likely invasion of Taiwan. That may lead to something not dissimilar to World War 3. Take your choice.

@@Olivarus238The difference is that MG is owned by the Chinese state. The others are private Chinese companies.
So, the OP is correct. Buy MG and support a dictatorship that is Russia's ally and a threat to Taiwan as well as Uighurs.

@@starvictory7079 "Private Chinese companies" are 'allowed' to exist by the state provided they are subservient to the state viz. TikTok and Huawei, Google etc.. The state controls everything to various degrees day to day, but ultimately as much as the state decides.

@@Olivarus238 that’s not an answer except it confirms support of a dictatorship. Stop buying the products you’ve listed. I know it’s impossible not to buy all things but, small steps, start by buying less.

Agree, however Tesla seem to have lost the ability to bring new cars (and promised features) to market. With the number of deposits on the Cybertruck, they have to prioritise that now.
