Love the finished look! Very pretty and polished. Your eyes look amazing with just the painterly, liner, and mascara. I'm going to try this with products I already have. I do like to use a little peach corrector under my eyes with a little concealer on top. It helps my concealer not look grey over my dark under eyes. Thank you for the inspiration for a beautiful everyday look.
@@beautybydez I really like the Clinique peach corrector and the elf putty peach corrector. Both have more than one shade, no fragrance, and hydration for my crinkly under eyes. Looking forward to your next video!
Hi Dez, loved your makeup look, the skin tint looks great, I'm using Chanel le beiges water tint in medium and Chanel waterproof mascara le volume de chanel in brown, my eyes stream and it's been amazing xx
Hi Dez, I think you would love the Danessa Myrics Colorfix Nudes in Nude 2 or 3 instead of the Mac paint pot, you need the tiniest amount on eye lids and it stays forever, trust me I live in Greece and in the summer heat and humidity it’s a game changer. Thank you for trying all these products for us, you’re doing great 👍 ❤
Great look - the blush color is perfection! I used to use Painterly all the time, have no idea why I stopped, must give it another try. I love the Prism Libre - just bought the mini size and as I only use it on my undereyes and around the nose, it should last a long time. I have heard nothing by praise for the VB liners - think that's another one I will have to try. Thanks for a lovely video.
Thanks so much Fiona! Yes, minis are great - we don't get as many over here, unfortunately. I've definitely fallen for the VB liner - and a review of her eyeshadow palette is coming soon!
Hey, Dez! I don't buy high end very often, but still love watching your reviews of high end makeup. Your look turned out lively. I was worried with that 6 hr claim on the foundation, but it held up well. Have a great day!
Hi Dez, really enjoy your channel. Your videos are very informative and allow us to see products before we buy. I have been wanting to try the Victoria Beckham liners for some time. This video just convinced me to do so. You look lovely!
Very nice final look on you! 😃 I am also struggling with oily eye-lids that, on top of it, are both wrinkley and hooded due to age. I am constantly on a quest for eyeliners or eye pencils that could stay put for more than a quarter of an hour (have not succeeded yet 🙄) and for tinted eyeprimers that would keep the eyeshadow for a day. My go-to for eyeprimer is Smashbox 24 hours Photo finish, and it works well, if I set it with powder before eyeshadow, but is not tinted. Someone recomended the Mac Paint pot, so I bought it, but that doesn’t work at all for me. It creases on the eyelids at the speed of light! I’m not kidding! Regardless if I clean the eyelids or not the Paint pot starts creasing within seconds after applying. So it was interesting to see that you actually liked it. 😅
Oh you made me giggle - and so much of what you say resonates! I have the Smashbox too, but as you say, powder is needed too. Thanks so much for watching ❤️
Hi Dez! What a lovely overall look! I was so excited to see you getting out the Mac-painterly! I just bought that and have yet to use it. When you smudged he eyeliner, it looks gorgeous! I feel like when I line on my eyelids lately you can’t even see it because of my hooded eyes! So I’m really only tight lining. But I just loved how that looked on you. And I must tell you that at the 10 hour check in , I thought you looked even more beautiful! These are great videos!❤️ Thank you!
I'm trying the skin tint and so far so good. I love the Givenchy concealer. You applied it very nicely. And the powder! Ok, I'm going to get the VB pencils. But will wait for a sale. I hope I can hold out for a sale lol. I'm trying the lip pencils as well. Beautiful look, Dez!!
I have and love the Victoria Beckham Cocoa. It's pretty much the only liner I use. Concealer looks great as does your whole face!. I have the Westman Atelier blush in Petal. It's my favorite cream blush although lately, I've been loving Gucci powder blush in Rosy Beige(?). I seem to need powder blush lately for more color and longevity. The Gucci is the most natural looking powder blush I've ever tried. I just ordered 2 new luxury products on the US Sephora Rouge sale: Westman Atelier setting powder in Pink Bubble(?) and the Gucci mascara. Haven't received them yet.
It is the absolute business, isn't it! I've now bought the eyeshadow brick but haven't opened it yet 😉 - her aesthetic reminds me of early Bobbi Brown. Will check out the Gucci - I think it might be stocked in Selfridges, so next time I'm in town...
Dez, you look like the late US actress Carolyn Jones, an ex-wife of producer Aaron Spelling (Dynasty). She had the most gorgeous eyes! PS I love the Hourglass brow pencil on you. I plan on buying it.
Hi darling Dez. Hope you had a nice Sunday. The Skin Tint is very pretty. Nice concealer! Everyone seems to love Victoria Beckham's eyeliners. Perhaps I'll pick one up during the Sephora sale. Oops. It's not sold at Sephora. I love the Fenty mascara. It's one of my go tos. Great lip colors, Dez. You look positively radiant! 🩷❤️🥰
Thank you dearest Rene! Yes unfortunately VB is only in high end stores like Selfridges here. The pencil has become my holy grail I'm afraid 😉. The Haus Labs lip gloss is very nice and doesn't completely disappear after breakfast 😀. Hope you're having a good Sunday! Weather sunny but windy ❤️
Thank you, Dez. I went directly to the site. Beautiful eyeliner shades. A bit pricey, but I'm always looking for a new brand. We're hitting the high 60s today, and the 70s tomorrow. Hoping that Spring has finally arrived. Have a great week!❤❤@beautybydez
I’m so tempted to try the skin tint and eye pencil, I always have difficulty in getting an eye pencil to last very long on me as I have the dreaded hooded lid, I usually do a tight line, do you ever try that? I thought the look was really understated and classy on you. I’ve got a couple of Lisa’s lipsticks, they are really lovely and I use them every day, so although expensive they will be used till they run out, so money well spent. 💋
Do you know, I used to tightline but since I had the eye op I've got a bit nervous about doing it - even though one of my earliest vids was how to tightline, I was winging it (pardon the pun) and now I'm not so keen on pulling my lid up to do it. I should give it a go with the VB pencil - thanks for the prompt!
I really love Lisa’s skintint. Looks beautiful on you. I’ve been wearing T6 but going to order T7 for the summer as well :) The VB pencil looks really nice on you. On me it smudges like crazy and if I use the smudge thingy it just erases it 😮. Thanks for the review!
I've been meaning to! I tried the Bobbi Brown Bisque in my GRWM earlier this week, which I found at the bottom of my drawer, but I don't seem to have a peach one. Do you recommend any? I used to have the Stila colour corrector - some of them have fragrance, like the Pixi, so I can't use them. I'll see what I can find - thanks for the prompt!
So, now I'm convinced that good drugstore brands work just as good as high end, some even better, as McoBeauty mascara doesn't transfer at all..lasts all day, comes off easily with cleanser at end of day.
Interesting, Lynette - I have literally only heard about the brand last week via Risa - I'll see if I can get Mco here in the UK. I dont disagree about affordable brands - I love Wet n Wild, ELF and Revolution - they all have excellent products, I just have to watch out for fragrance in some of them. Next week's vid is affordable makeup. Thanks so much for watching!
Don’t agree except mascara. L’Oréal has excellent mascaras. Everything else the ingredients are better with the higher end and it definitely shows. No oxidation!
@@lisaaustin4561 L'Oréal and Revlon and Maybelline have been around much longer than all these new High end brands, that spend a lot having a 'famous face' and spend a fortune on advertising... but you do have to pick your products, some are made more cheaply, some do have fragrances and things that cause irritation for some, but many are made in the same factories right next to each other!! McoBeauty has been reverse engineered to match the highend products I think, but certainly can't vouch for it not having any allergy checks...that I think Dez would be a good one to check it out, as I think he has a whole heap of names and codes in her head to watch out for. ❤👍👍👍
Hi Dez, that was a lovely make up today. Seeing alot of the lisa Eldridge skin tint about, and it did look lovely on you. As did the blusher and the lip pencil. I’m not keen on sticky lip gloss at all. I watch another lady on You tube, Caroline, Mrs M, and she is enthusing about a revolution skin silk thats fairly new out, and only £11 !! It did look very nice on her. I guess the moral is that regardless of price, it’s what works for you personally. But those certainly worked for you. I think it’s too much money for me to chance buying it online, I would wait until I could see it in a store I think, and can try some samples. But great video as always, thankyou. 😊
Thanks Marjorie! I have to say that lip gloss is rather nice -but a further review will be forthcoming once I've had the chance to wear it over a period. I have picked up another one, from Hourglass, which I'm rather liking as well! I will have a look at the Revolution Skin Silk but I have a feeling it contains fragrance - grrr! Next beauty vid will be affordable...have a lovely evening - the sun's out here although it's quite windy 😉
Hi Dez: I REALLY enjoy the way you do your makeup, and, the finished look is lovely! No one would believe your age..what a difference! Your skin is quite good; I'm 73, but, I must admit, the saggy jawline is the bane of my existence. It's a big reason why I've somewhat lost interest in makeup. 🙁 The high-end products, though very luxurious, aren't in my budget, but, we have some excellent dupes here in the States. I'm allergic to fragrance, too. I like your personal style..very similar to my own. TY for sharing; take good care! Rosemarie ❤
Thanks so much Rosemarie! These products are super pricey - but I have just done an affordable version which will be coming out next Sunday - or possibly Wed. Maybe I should do a dupe or comparison video - I'll add that to my list! Happy Sunday ❤️
