Love your channel and your sweet honesty about products. I find applying cream blush and bronzer difficult;i use my fingers most of the time for everything except powder. Love the look you've achieved, truly lovely i must say. Thank you again🦋
Hi, at 62 I’ve only been using bronzer for about 2 yrs. My favorite is Guerlain. Absolutely love it. I am fair. I also love my No 7 bronzer. I actually love all the No 7 makeup products. Well the lift and luminate foundation, love their lift and luminate concealer ( it works better for me than some high end concealers. I’ve not tried any of their other makeup products. I also absolutely love the Makeup by Mario skin enhancing bronzer which is a cream. It’s amazing! Thank you for sharing. I love Laura Mercier liquid eyeshadows. I take it up a bit further than you did and blend out the edges. Then apply a powder transition color.
I also love No. 7 although have not tried their concealers. They do some fab lipsticks, I bought a few last year. I haven't tried Guerlain but which is a beautiful brand but I think a lot of their products contain fragrance, so am a bit wary of them. I haven't tried Makeup by Mario yet but I'm going to check if it's available at our Sephora - we seem to have different brands - usually less - than are available elsewhere. I was browsing Laura Mercier yesterday in a store but didn't realise she did liquid eyeshadows - I'll have a look! Thank you so much for watching, Karla, and have a fab week!
@@beautybydez I don’t notice a fragrance with the Guerlain bronzer. Oh, I apologize as the Laura Merciers are cream not liquid. Comes in stick forms. So easy to apply. Thank you, you have a Blessed Week.
Both look lovely Dez, I have the revolution blusher in the same colour. Merit seems to be everywhere right now, it looks really nice quality. I do like cream products, better on mature skin, but they always feel a bit sticky, and for that reason am a bit wary of them. As for bronzer, it looks great on you tubers, I can’t get the hang of it, and always look as if my face is grubby. Need to try harder and experiment I think. Do you ever ‘set’ cream make up with a dust of powder? I’m never sure if you should, or if that defeats the object of using cream products. Another good video, thankyou. 😊
I must admit I haven't set a blusher or bronzer with powder but Tamara uses powder blush on top of cream blush to set and it seems to work - I have tried it myself. I know what you mean about the grubby worry!
Hi Dez, I treated myself to the Charlotte Tilbury powder bronzer a few months back and I was totally disappointed. It was as if there was no pigment in the powder and I just couldn’t get it to show up. I have used it a few more times and it’s actually showing better. I think the first layer was just different and I have gotten through that. I really have no idea what happened. It’s still not my favorite bronzer but it’s fine. This was a fun video. I love this type video. I buy way too many higher end products. Drugstore does fine if you watch videos like this. I love Smitha too. She is so good. You take care.
Makeup products can be so hit and miss! I'm quite partial to the CT blusher in Pillow Talk as it's quite bronzey so I only need to use it on its own. Just seen Smith as latest video on a smokey eye so I feel a copycat video coming on 🙂. Have a great rest of your week Sharon, and thanks so much for watching ❤️🩷❤️
Have you tried a flat top brush for your bronzer? I find they work best with my cream bronzers & cream blush. You did a great job with your sponge though. Enjoyed your video😊
Hello, Dez - I really enjoyed watching your comparisons between high-end and drug-store products. I generally use a dry sponge to apply creams to cheeks but I've just bought the new Sonia G Sheer Buffer brush (from Beautylish - they ship to the UK but the brush is expensive at $84 CAD) and find it absolutely prefect for the job.
Thanks Ruth! Now you're tempting me - I've just sorted out my brushes itno categories and I might have to check out the Sonia G - I'm beginning to realise that tools such as brushes can be really helpful. ❤️
@@beautybydez I agree re brushes being helpful, although more expensive isn't necessarily better, I've found. The Sonia G brushes are excellent (most are animal hair) but I also use many smaller brushes from Real Techniques (synthetic).
Absolutely gorgeous! And you made me giggle with the Adam Ant comments! Lol! I tend to apply cream blush with a sponge, but I also feel like it soaks up so much of the blush. Are you liking that new brush?
Thanks Tina! I'm a bit ambivalent about the brush, and after filming the video I watched Caroline Barnes applying cream blusher and she used a foundation brush, which I've just tried this morning and it seemed to work!
Hi Dez !!!!! Love your hair it’s very pretty and I’m so pleased to see you in your hoops . Up until recently I practically lived in my hoop earrings but someone told me I was too old to wear them 😢 . You’ve inspired me to to get some new ones and forget the negative advice 😊 Cream bronzer is a bit tricky to apply and lately I too have been using my sponge . I find a dense foundation brush works pretty well especially if you stipple instead of stroke it on . I’m going to try the Charlotte cream bronzer . Been wondering about it since it came out . ❤
Oh good, don't give up your hoops! Re brushes, I just watched Caroline Barnes use a dense brush to apply a cream blush after I'd recorded this video so I'm going to try using one.
Hi Dez. Love the Wet N Wild Tinted Hydrator. Also love the Revolution bronzer. Yes, slight scent of pineapple! I use a brush to apply. With cream blush, I prefer my fingers. I must say, you have fabulous lips. So nicely shaped. Your finished look is gorgeous! Have a fabulous day. Hugs❣❤💖
Thank you dearest Rene! I think my nose job when I was 21 lifted my to lip as it looked a lot thinner when I was in my teens. I really had fun doing the makeup! Have a fab day yourself ❤❤❤
@@beautybydez you have such a cute nose. I never would have known that you had a rhinoplasty. My nose has always been my favorite body part. My mom had a lamp with a bust of a woman. She told me she loved the nose on it, and would rub it every night when she was pregnant with me! She swore that's how my nose came to be. The girls had the same nose, and now sweet Henry does! You are adorable beyond words. 💗💗

All fragrance free?
All except the two Revolution products, unfortunately, although interestingly they haven't affected me!
