I got my reloptix lenses yesterday and as a legally blind person (20/200 with correction) with glasses too thick to wear in VR and it is amazing. Just received my Wave VR lenses today. Wow! They are great. I can finally use my Quest 2 without my glasses getting in the way. They were delivered in exactly a week. I paid extra for faster shipping. With all of the extras and after a $5 discount, I paid $122. I don't have an issue with my nose because the bride of my nose is smaller than yours. I am so glad I gave them a try. I was concerned the prescription wouldn't be correct but it's perfect. Thanks for your review because that is what convinced me to give them a try.
I have the vr wave as well. I don’t have the issues that dr eye guy has either. They work perfectly for me and don’t touch my nose at all. I even took out the glasses spacer that I had been using with glasses. Maybe I have a smaller nose bridge I suppose. These are a game changer for me though, I’ve been using my quest 2 much longer and more often than I used to. With glasses I could only go about 30-45 minutes before it started hurting too much. I can go as long as I want now though. Also, with glasses on, everywhere but in the center was a little blurry and had rainbows (I beeline chromatic aberration) I don’t have the problem at all anymore with the vr wave inserts.
Thank yall for these comments. I purchased the VR Wave lenses yesterday. This video almost had me cancel my order 😅 hopefully I don't have an issue with my nose
@@39LRich if you just ordered it, then you are going to be just fine. They actually got a new design for the oculus quest 2 and it's way better. I'll be doing an updated review video on it here in the next couple of weeks. 🙂
I went with VR Optician based out of Germany. Free shipping (2 to 3 weeks) and $65 and change with your 5% coupon that still works. Seemed very reasonable and the info form to fill out my Spere, Cylinder, and Axis info was easy to fill out with my Glasses Rx in hand. I did exclude the exclude the extra charge for the blue light filter since I don't expect to be spending nearly time doing VR as staring at my work computer, iPhone, etc., and your opinion that it may not warrant the extra cost if not already included. I'll try to reply/comment back on my experience with the lenses themselves once I get them. Thanks for your original review; I found it very helpful!
This is a great video. Just got an Oculus quest 2. I find it very uncomfortable when I use it for training. Taking off my glasses every 15 minutes. I got my answer here I'II get prescription VR lens with a small fan on top of the headset I'll be all set thank you so much.
So glad I watched this video. I’m going today for my eye exam. This will help me make a more educated decision for my prescription lens for my Oculus Quest 2.
Fun story: I got a call from my occultist like two days after I got my quest 2; I was overdue for an exam and was actually thinking about it when I got the headset. Exam done lenses are coming through the mail
I made the mistake of getting my current VR corrective lens from Framesdirect. First it took them 3 tries to get my prescription right. Then I have had a least 4 of the push on frames halves crack. I stopped removing them totally and the last to cracked anyway. In short don't waste your money with framesdirect!
Hi Dr. Neal, Thanks for your honest reviews. I have not purchased the Meta Quest 2. Close to. I have been looking at prescription lenses and happened on to your site
Thanks for this video! I’d love to see something like this for psvr2, I’ve been hesitating between the available options even though I’d love to just pick some up.
Hi again Dr. Neal, I hit send by accident. This is helping me to choose the right lenses. I had not thought about the pinch factor. I will in all likelihood be the only person using the system. I think I’ll go with the punch on lenses. Thanks again for your help. Harry
Hi! Thanks for watching and commenting on my videos. Not sure if you have seen my videos on the new reloptix and vr wave designs yet. But they have made their design thinner, and it's way better, solving the nose pinch problem... at least for me.
This was a very useful video. It would be good to do another one for the Quest 3. I myself purchased prescription lenses for my Quest 2 from AliExpress about 2 years ago and have been very happy with them. I would question if I need to spend 3 or 4 times the amount from the 'bigger' brannds.
Just got my VRGear lenses. $58 shipped. I think you can get them on sale for $40 now. They have the magnetic adaptors for easy on/off, for multiple users. So far they’re great.
I really enjoyed this video. It was very well thought out and your points were very logical. Not often are review videos so well thought out. I'm curious to know how much of a difference the reloptix makes versus the other two non magnetic lenses. How much of an improvement does that extra space really make?
I barely even knew the non magnetic lenses were there. I knew the reloptix lenses were there, because I could still feel them, but it wasn't really annoying or anything.
Would you consider Reloptix to be better than Vr Wave even after the updated model from Vr Wave? I need 2 sets for an Oculus and Valve Index! Also, would I need to use the glasses spacer?
Just bought a pair from VR Optician. they are based in germany so thats basicly next door. Should have them in 2/3 weeks. Also had some discount so i only pay 2 bucks for shipping. Cant wait!
Never thought I'd find myself subscribing to an optometry channel lol. Thanks for these reviews. I just got a quest 2, and luckily, my own IPD is exactly 68mm, but that makes my glasses difficult to fit inside the Oculus, so I wanted to get prescription lenses. Based on your review, I think I'll opt for one of the push-on styles you reviewed. Thanks for the advice!
@@DrEyeGuy It totally worked out. I decided after all things to go with VROptician, and I have zero regrets. Base price in Canadian was 96 bucks. I've got a fairly strong prescription, so after all was said and done, mine were 120 which is very reasonable. They are very high quality, the box is actually nicer than it looks on video, and all together, I was very impressed. I'd recommend them to anyone.
I realize I'm a little late to the party here, but...Fantastic video! Also, everyone - as of early 12/22 - the VR Optician link above allowed me to purchase a pair of lenses for less than the $80 price point mentioned for RelOptix. Keeping in mind that pricing MMV: I wear progressive lens bifocals, I did not get the blue light feature, and I live in the northwest US. - Again, Dr. EyeGuy, thank you for this great video; my local optometrist also appreciated learning about these options.
Great video Doc! One question I have….. I had lasix done years ago so distance vision is fine. However, I do need glasses to read (+1.50). Would these lens help with the overall experience? Does VR use your distance vision? Or because your looking a short distance into the lens does VR use your close up vision! Thanks in advance for your help!
Awesome! The perfect video! I purchased the Reloptix through your link, really easy process and happy to wait for the item. They also have TH-cam videos on the website to help with how to add your prescription. 👍🏼 👓
So I love some of your videos. Been using VR sin e quest 2 came out. Here's the interesting comment, I have had R&L vitrectomy. Lots of blurry foggy vision. While healing up my favorite tv/movies were screened in vr. The lighting doesn't hurt. The lack of distraction really helps too. So much better than computers and other screens. Excellent outcome on surgery and novel use for vr.
@@DrEyeGuy check out Steve Saylor on You Tube a low vision gamer on his first use of a psvr. In victrectomy can you add a bit about tinting lenses for the light sensitivity? Thanks for the quick response.
Thanks so much for your guidance! I went with VR Optician, because I wanted as much room (and as much field of view) as I could get. My price, with all but the blue blockers, was only $69, but my prescription is fairly mild. Can't wait to get 'em. - ETA: Results are outstanding! My Quest 2 now seems like a match for my desktop display.
Great video. Regarding WidmoVR, I had bought some inserts for my Rift-S and now have them in my Quest-2, they have been performing flawlessly. I also have VR Lens Lab inserts in my Valve Index and Reverb G2, for the Reverb G2, I find the plastic housing to be thicker than it needs to be, I actually took the lenses out and sanded down the housings so the inserts didn't rub just above my eye lids. I had tried the blue blocker coating years ago (2017 OG Vive) and noticed in VR everything had a very slight blue tint, to be honest, I didn't notice any benefit regarding eye strain or eye fatigue with the coating so I never included it in future insert purchases. I've dealt with both WidmoVR and VR Lens Lab for many various VR headsets and have been pleased with the products.
Thanks so much! I was so close to buying lenses and decided to search TH-cam for reviews first. I have a PD of 61 so I'm so glad I didn't buy the VR Wave.
Hi! Thank you! I actually have a new video coming out about the new VR Wave design, and it's a lot better. Just in case if you are still considering it.
I bought the VROpticion lenses twice and both times after about 6 months of usage the plastic casing that held the glass cracked and no longer held. I put them on the oculus quest 2 when I got them and never took them off. I think i'll try the Reloptix next.
First of all, excellent video! Just what I was looking for. Just one question, is there a way to determine which lenses sit furthest away from your eyes? Or another way to put it, which ones sit closest to the quest's lenses. I've heard some people have problems with their eyelashes (Sometimes their eyeballs!?!) touching the prescription lenses because they stick out further. I can see how maybe the magnetic ones might stick out further, but which ones would you say sit closer to the lenses?
Hi, great question, and I should have put this in the video. VR Lens Lab was the furthest away from my eyes, followed by VR Optician with a close second.
I have the Quest2 and have VR Wave lenses. I definitely experience the painful nose pinching issue (IPD setting 2). VR Wave released an extra spacer for the Oculus2 that you can buy to put on your headset to help ameliorate the pinching issue by increasing the distance of your face from the lenses; it does help but it does not resolve the issue for me. The VR Wave lens quality & ease of use is great, as Dr. EyeGuy says, but because of the pinching issue, I am now in the market for new lenses. I’m still super grateful to companies like VR Wave for making quality lenses that make it possible to play VR without your glasses.
Great to learn of these lenses. I'm legally blind, and wondering if there's a lens which will actually magnify what's being seen in VR. I can't read a lot of the tiny text in menus. I know magnification will reduce field of view, but then, due to coloboma, in both eyes, I don't have much field of view, anyway.. I know my bifocal definitely won't focus, as it's going through yet another lens, the one that's on the OQ2. Just wondering if a modified prescription would work. Thanks for the video.
Your videos are super helpful! New Quest 2 owner here, just dialing in my experience, and the information you provide is useful and well presented. (And I learned from reading the Comments that I will want to use my distance prescription for my VR lenses) Thank you!
Thank you for the awesome comment! Glad it could help. My goal is to just keep trying to improve my videos and information by 1% each video. I'll keep breaking out some more videos as long as it continues to help people.
Just because your videos are so extremely precise, detailed, and informative...and HELPFUL...You've earned a subscribe! Thank you so much, I just ordered RELOPTIX. My script is an O.D. +3.00 Add 1.25 with 0 Cylinder, 0 Axis and O.S. +3.25 Add 1.25 with a Cylinder of -0.75 and Axis of 112. PD of 30/32.5 -- I'm looking extremely forward to getting my lenses for my Quest 2 because my glasses are just painful to wear with my headset and even then I usually play hours on it....and then my head/ears hurt or I have a bad headache afterwards. Thank you so much, I think I've already binge watched all your videos about VR in like just 2 hours LOL!
I'm a contact lens wearer, and spending considerable amount of time adjusting - readjusting the quest 2. When I'm in VR my vision is okay but when I look right, left or up and down (not straight) then my vision does feel a little blurry or foggy. So you think by purchasing lenses will help eliminate this issue? If so which one of the products that you have reviewed will be most effective?
Do you have that blurry vision in real life when looking in different directions? The only thing I would be worried about is the blur coming from the peripheral blur of the VR lenses. If it's that, then VR prescription lenses would not help with that.
@@DrEyeGuy Thanks for your reply. In real life I can see fine when looking in other directions. The blur vision (the extent is not huge but its not perfect either). When I do finally manage to adjust the elite strap with vr cover facial interface it does get better but I'm wasting lots of time. Adjusting and re-adjusting. Also my work requires me to use a computer screen for at least 8 hours a day plus I use mobile screen and pc on top of that. Any suggestions are welcome.
Watched all your videos on VR lenses, appreciate the knowledge and hard work. They were all made many months ago though to when I’m watching them now. Wondering what pair between the VR Optician and Reloptix you prefer, based on quality and performance not price. Thanks !
I was about to order the VRWave for a Quest 2 for my wife and I. I have a biggish nose. I ended up ordering the Reloptix at your recommendation. I look forward to them coming in and giving them a try. Thank you for your great review!
Do you like the lenses you bought? I just got my first Quest 2 and I hate having to wear glasses in it. Doing my research now and like the magnetic fit. Thanks.
Thank you for this video! I definitely need to do something to make it a better experience for me. Also, these lenses will allow me to play on a friend's Quest, since I can pop in my lenses. I will be contacting my Eye Dr. today!
Just got RX lenses for my VR headset, and while the image is now crisp and sharp, I was not prepared for how much FOV I would lose by increasing the space between my eyes and the lenses to accommodate the inserts. My FOV is now a noticeable circle, like looking through binoculars, and some UI elements I placed around the edges are now hidden. My correction is not strong, but does have a stigmatism in one eye. For now, I think I will be going back to using no correction at all and deal with the slight blurriness in favor of a wider FOV.
Thank you for this, I’m new to Meta2 and wear glasses, I never knew these existed. Glad all the firms I looked at online were the ones you included in this fantastic review. I think I’ll go for the Waves, I have no nose, so no issue there as I can literally look down with my head set on and there’s a massive gap lol. Big thumbs up, many thanks 🍻👍
I went with VR optician since I'm the only one who uses my quest 2. I'm waiting on them to arrive but I ordered the express shipping, so looking forward to having them soon
I'm soon to be 70, have a high prescription for long sightedness & as I need reading glasses I use varifocal spectacles rather than having to swap spectacles. Will these still work for me, I hate having to wear glasses while using Quest 2 but don't want contact lenses. Thanks from the UK.
I appreciate this for sure. I have a large nose as well, and sadly, horrible vision. I'm double digits nearsighted. I requested my prescription and plan to order reloptix (as I also share my quest with my fiancé)
I just ordered Vr Optician lenses yesterday. Even though Realoptix has a smaller price, I'm pretty sure the magnetic lenses would be so uncomfortable since I have a big nose aswell 😂 I can't wait for my lenses to arrive, so I can play without any discomfrot
Glad that a video like this exists. One of my cylinders is over -4, and that took VR Lens Lab out of the running. I don't see any benefit to the magnetic thing, especially if the lenses are easy enough to remove, so that narrows it down well enough to VR Optician for me. Still, there's at least a few others to explore...
I just went to my local eyewear tested for the prescription then order with them, test + lenses (AR coated) + frame (magnetic) for cheap since it was a local shop. really change the way i play VR. it think it around 50buck. im a shortsighted guy. good thing theres a local shop because the shipping price is quite high to my country
@@DrEyeGuy yup, procedure the same as getting new glasses. except you get the magnetic frame instead of normal frame😁i search online and hes the only shop nearby doing it. talking about luck.
I have used Widmovr for all of my prescriptions. They have worked great but were 3D printed for the holder. Never had an issue with that though. Just looks less finished.
I recently bought a Oculus and I'm looking into getting prescription lenses. Should I use my glasses prescription or contact lense prescription as they are different due to a strong stigmatism.
Great video, exactly the advice I was looking for. Fantastic expert information and great delivery, this was very helpful. Thank you for sharing and keep up the great work. God Bless.
Doctor, just got an oculus quest 2 as a gift. I've been wearing prescription glasses for over 50 years and now have lined tri-focals (I do not like the progressive lens). I have to wear the lens extender with my oculus. The question that I have is if I order VR prescription lens, what prescription measurement should I use? Thanks for your advice and videos!
Great video! What do you recommend if you have a progressive prescription? The bottom of my lenses are for close / iPhone reading while the middle and up is for computer screen reading (around 3-4 feet). Also, since as you discuss on another of your videos, the focal point for VR tends to be further away, do I need prescriptions at all?
I'm in the EU, so to avoid long shipping times and customs, I've ordered from VROptician. It's just shipped, I will get it on this week, I hope it will be great. Currently I'm wearing glasses, but it's uncomfortable and I'm afraid that I will scratch the lenses. Hopefully this will be a lot better. :) Thanks for the informative review.
Hey man thanks for the video I went ahead W VR optician, as I like the look of the snap style, I think eye health is v important too so keep up the great niche content bro!
@@DrEyeGuy hey I had a question too if you're able to, I bought an Infrared light 850nm to play quest 2 in the dark, is this considered safe for general play time use on the eyes generally? Thanks Kindest Nick
Certainly the best online comparison of the VR lenses I have seen, Thanks. Can you let us know the height of each lens. A video/picture height comparison of all of them side by side would be great. Thank you
Hey! Don't know if you're still answering comments on this video, but I will give it a shot. Since this video was made 1 year ago, I wonder if anything changed with these products and if you would review them differently now. I'm not sure which one to buy and can't find a recent and comprehensive review comparing multiple brands like this
Hi! Yes. I have since made updated reviews for reloptix, vr wave, and vr optician. VR wave improved their design drastically and is much thinner, as well as reloptix. I have a playlist on my channel if you want to check them out. Thanks!
I ordered from vroptician a few days ago, before seeing this video. they were the only company i saw that made a prescription in my strength (worse than -15 in one eye) I don't have them yet, but looking forward to not needing contacts for VR. I have dry eyes and contacts irritate them. My glasses are too big to wear with my quest 2.
Thanks for reviewing these lenses. Id really like to know if they help at all with reducing the rings - fresnel effect of the built in lenses when adding the prescription lenses on top? Thank you
I have, I think is an important question(s). I have 2 Oculus Quest 2 VR headsets and I do share with my child and wife (who both wear prescription glasses. I do not. I'm not sure of the wording, so bear with me please. I'm not a fan of the original eye pieces that come stock in the Oculus Quest 2. It has some kind of prism lines that you adjust until your eyes focus. I tried another VR headset from my nephew, where his headset allowed people to adjust to their specific measurements and even made prescription lens ability (assuming you knew your prescription stuff). Very neat in my opinion. I guess what I want to know is.....can I replace the prism stock with clear ones? I know Oculus did this for making the headset cheaper, but I'm willing to pay extra to see more clearly, no matter the placement I have the Oculus Quest 2 with my face & also have the ability to use prescription later on, which you already explained works well with the push-on inserts. Thanks in advance for any insights.
I've seen videos where people did a DIY swap of the lenses by using some other VR lenses. I'm not sure how well that worked though. As far as I know, I don't think there is an approved readily available lens you can get to swap out the fresnel type of lenses.
This is a great review, very helpful. I'm worried that they might have sent you review samples or took special care to make those sets of lenses made better than they usually would BECAUSE you asked for review samples. Di you get a generic set of lenses for each company, or did you get a prescription filled out for each company?
I got prescription lenses from each company. And you are right... it's always a possibility they took special care. They didn't know I was going to compare review to other companies.

This is a great video. Just got an Oculus quest 2. I find it very uncomfortable when I use it for training. Taking off my glasses every 15 minutes. I got my answer here I'II get prescription VR lens with a small fan on top of the headset I'll be all set thank you so much.
Thank you! Let me know how it works out.
I bought mine from VR Optician and I'm really happy with them. The price was good and they came from Germany to the UK in a week.
Good to hear! Thanks for commenting
This is where I should have started instead of searching through reddit for 1.5 hours! TY
I just bought an HP Reverb G2 and I was disappointed with the visual quality until I wore my glasses with them lol. Thanks for the review.
So glad I watched this video. I’m going today for my eye exam. This will help me make a more educated decision for my prescription lens for my Oculus Quest 2.
Sounds like a lot of people are going in foe their eye exam right now. I've been getting this comment a lot.
Have my second pair of Reloptix for my G2's. Really like them.
Working on a video for the Quest 3 right now. I'll have to look into lenses from AliExpress. Thanks!
Just got my VRGear lenses. $58 shipped. I think you can get them on sale for $40 now. They have the magnetic adaptors for easy on/off, for multiple users. So far they’re great.
I want to try them out. Sounds like a good deal!
Nice, the exact day I search for a comparison guide is the exact day one is uploaded. Thanks!
That's some crazy odds right there, I was almost going to upload this tomorrow.
HonsVR are another great make, especially on Pico 4, their mounts are thinner and take up no space unlike a lot of the others.
Also, thank you for the kind words. I really do appreciate it.
very informative and helpful thanks Doc
Would you consider Reloptix to be better than Vr Wave even after the updated model from Vr Wave? I need 2 sets for an Oculus and Valve Index! Also, would I need to use the glasses spacer?
This is exactly the info I needed for my son's new VR headset. Thank you so much!!
Awesome! Glad I could help!
Hope it works out for you. Thanks for subscribing, I'll try and make the best optometry channel around. 😁
@@ChrisM-tn3hx awesome! Thank you for the report back. Glad to hear they worked out for you.
Thank you for the awesome comment. That's awesome you were able to get the VR Optician lenses for that cheap!
You actually use your distance vision in VR. I did a quick shorts video explaining it: th-cam.com/users/shorts2fii90rpfbw?feature=share
Awesome! The perfect video! I purchased the Reloptix through your link, really easy process and happy to wait for the item. They also have TH-cam videos on the website to help with how to add your prescription. 👍🏼 👓
Reloptix is great! Good choice!
That's amazing to hear. I have a video planned about vitrectomy, as I wanted to highlight benefits like you mentioned. Thanks for this comment.
Awesome deal! I hope you like them!
69 what a coincidence

Thank you so much for this video. I just bought the reloptix bases on you're recommendation for the Quest 2!
You're welcome! Glad it could help.
Great video. It is nice to see a professional opinion regarding these lenses.
Thank you!
Thank you Dr. EyeGuy for a great video, so happy I stumbled upon this one!
Thank you for commenting this. WidmoVR is still on my list of lenses to try and test out.
Just ordered Reloptix lenses because they're one of the only companies that has support for Prisms without adding an extra cost.
Honestly, Reloptix is hard to beat with their price and value they offer. Good choice.
I bought the VROpticion lenses twice and both times after about 6 months of usage the plastic casing that held the glass cracked and no longer held. I put them on the oculus quest 2 when I got them and never took them off. I think i'll try the Reloptix next.
Woah.. thanks for commenting this. Sorry to hear that. Hopefully Reloptix does better.
@@nosebot I completely agree with you, and thanks for commenting. I think my big nose is what got in the way, but I really liked the VR Wave lenses.
Good work doc! I like when someone is NOT selling something on TH-cam when reviewing- as that is a conflict of interest. Great Vid
Thanks! I was trying to be as fair as possible with this video.
Thanks for the video . It helped a lot! Went with Reloptix as was the best value.
Glad it could help! I hope you like them.
Wow! I am honored! Thank you so much! I hope that you like the reloptix lenses. Let me know how it goes.
I just now bought two Reloptix magnetic lenses. One for my Quest 2, and the other for my Rift S.
Awesome. You will have to let me know how you like them.
I ordered VR Option Dec 1st. They should be here by end of the week, vua DHL going to TX! I need them, glasses with Quest 2 are a PITA!
Awesome! I Hope you like them. Let me know how it goes.
In the UK try Adlens prescription lenses. I bought mine a few months ago and they were cheaper than the competition but did the same job.
This is good to know. Thanks for commenting this.
Watched all your videos on VR lenses, appreciate the knowledge and hard work. They were all made many months ago though to when I’m watching them now. Wondering what pair between the VR Optician and Reloptix you prefer, based on quality and performance not price. Thanks !
It will come down to the magnetic design. If you will want to pass it back and forth a lot... Reloptix for sure. If not... they are both great.
Does the reloptix reduce the FOV compares to the others?
I checked that, and I could barely tell a difference.... maybe a little bit, but not a huge difference.
FANTASTIC SIR!!! I am +2,5 reading glasses and was struggeling yesterday when testing my new oculus quest 2 set. Thanks Alot!! New follower here 🌸🙏
Thank you so much! So glad I could help!
Where and how did you order for just readers, I’m at the same reading prescription as you
This was really useful. Detailed with considered opinions. Really helped me.
Thank you!
Great video! Can you review the VR Rock lenses in the future? Do you think the coatings are worth while purchase? 🙏🏻
Thanks.
Doc, thank you appreciate your time and in depth review with the added honest. This helped me in making a decision. Happy New Year
Good to hear! And thanks for the comment.
Great vid and pushed me towards Vr optician. Thanyou
Thank you for this video! I definitely need to do something to make it a better experience for me. Also, these lenses will allow me to play on a friend's Quest, since I can pop in my lenses. I will be contacting my Eye Dr. today!
They should work great for that. Let me know how it goes. Thank you!
Great video, I have 2 prescriptions one fo driving and one for reading, which one should I choose for VR lenses?
The one for distance... I have a video I did, a live video where I explained how that all works.
Awesome! Let me know how it works for you.
@@DrEyeGuy of course
I'm soon to be 70, have a high prescription for long sightedness & as I need reading glasses I use varifocal spectacles rather than having to swap spectacles. Will these still work for me, I hate having to wear glasses while using Quest 2 but don't want contact lenses. Thanks from the UK.
Yes, they should work great, and you would only need your distance correction, you wouldn't need to have a bifocal or anything while playing VR.
Thanks for the run through- Its really helped with my decision making. :)
Awesome! Glad I could help
I appreciate this for sure. I have a large nose as well, and sadly, horrible vision. I'm double digits nearsighted. I requested my prescription and plan to order reloptix (as I also share my quest with my fiancé)
Awesome! Let me know how you end up liking the lenses.
I just ordered Vr Optician lenses yesterday. Even though Realoptix has a smaller price, I'm pretty sure the magnetic lenses would be so uncomfortable since I have a big nose aswell 😂 I can't wait for my lenses to arrive, so I can play without any discomfrot
Awesome! I hope you like them.
Hey, did you get your lenses already? I'm thinking about VR Optician also. Are they worth the money?
Glad that a video like this exists. One of my cylinders is over -4, and that took VR Lens Lab out of the running. I don't see any benefit to the magnetic thing, especially if the lenses are easy enough to remove, so that narrows it down well enough to VR Optician for me. Still, there's at least a few others to explore...
Thanks for watching! I want to get my hands on some more lenses to test out as well.
Your local eye doctor sold these?
@@DrEyeGuy yup, procedure the same as getting new glasses. except you get the magnetic frame instead of normal frame😁i search online and hes the only shop nearby doing it. talking about luck.
Thanks I was hoping someone would do this type of video for vr
Thanks! Hopefully it can help people out.
I have used Widmovr for all of my prescriptions. They have worked great but were 3D printed for the holder. Never had an issue with that though. Just looks less finished.
I need to get my hands on those, I have heard great things!
Great video, thanks. Your review of these products is very helpful.
Thank you! Good to hear!
I recently bought a Oculus and I'm looking into getting prescription lenses. Should I use my glasses prescription or contact lense prescription as they are different due to a strong stigmatism.
Your glasses prescription, as it may be more exact with your astigmatism correction compared to your contact prescription.
it's great you have bought different types of brands. a lot of the reviews out there only focus on 2 or 3 brands
Thanks! I'm hoping to get my hands on some more as well.
Great video, exactly the advice I was looking for. Fantastic expert information and great delivery, this was very helpful. Thank you for sharing and keep up the great work. God Bless.
Thank you so much! Glad it could help out.
Hi! Great question! You want to use your distance prescription when ordering the lenses.
Super helpful! Great comparison of the different lenses.
Thank you!
Do you require the glasses to see in the distance? If you don't, you could try using VR without.
Thanks for the informative review.
I think you are going to enjoy them. Thanks for the comment.

Thanks!
Hopefully the new design of the vr wave that just came out will be more comfortable than the one you reviewed

I ordered from vroptician a few days ago, before seeing this video. they were the only company i saw that made a prescription in my strength (worse than -15 in one eye)
I don't have them yet, but looking forward to not needing contacts for VR. I have dry eyes and contacts irritate them. My glasses are too big to wear with my quest 2.
Let me know how you like them. I'm excited for you.
Thank you Neal very useful like together!
Thanks for reviewing these lenses. Id really like to know if they help at all with reducing the rings - fresnel effect of the built in lenses when adding the prescription lenses on top? Thank you
Unfortunately it does not.
@@DrEyeGuy Appreciate the info!
I'm both short and long sighted but it doesn't seem to bother me in VR, what does is my IOD is 70mm.
Hey man! Great info! Which of the lenses took the least space? Is it measurable.
Hi, yes, I should have added this detail in the video. VR Lens Lab took up the least amount of space with VR optician at a close second.
@@DrEyeGuy cheers man! Great info!
Excellent video I'm gonna get a pair of Amavasion lenses from amazon once I get my info from my Eye doctor after my 2nd visit to Americas Best. :)
