Do you know if having these lenses will be too big for lens protectors or know any lens protectors that will work with them. I'd like some lens protectors for when I stop using my vr or I'm moving it to a new room.
I actually love my VR lenses. I used to play without them and got a lot of eye strain. Now I can play for longer and the blue light filter, you don’t even notice it! 🎉
I bought lenses from vr-Rock and they don't feature the cut out for the nose so they do pinch a bit. I'd definitely go for this vr optician design next time.
Vr-rock have the worst design, not only does it not have a nose cut out but it closes on the screens with no air circulation which causes fogginess; what a waste of 70$. I had to buy another one after a week (cuz my nose started to hurt) and I recommend HONSVR, its amazing especially the nose cut out if you have low IPD and they never fog. Im not sponsored just wanted to help. Didnt try vr optician though so i cant really say much about it
Glad I could be of help! Like I mentioned, my only complaint really is that they don't sit closer to the PSVR2 lenses so you may have to pull the headset away from your face a tad. It's not a deal breaker to me personally, but something to be aware of. Quality is superb and I like everything else about them a lot!
Appreciate the info sir! Prescription lenses are an absolute must for me, as someone who can't wear contacts its super nice to be able to just pop the headset on and not mess around with my glasses or worry about scratching up the lens. Not to mention if you use headphones, glasses and the headset it can get fiddly with comfort and positioning with 3 different accessories on your head lol. To anyone interested, I would like to emphasise that the blue light filter is a worthwhile addon. I have Reloptix prescription lenses on my Quest 2 (Good make btw, but they don't make them for PSVR2 yet) Used them for 3+ years now. I have 2 pairs, mine with the blue light filter and my partner's without it. Neither of us can tell any noticeable visual difference when playing but it does help eye strain over longer periods. Worth the extra cash for your eye health and comfort in the long run! I also have a blue light treatment on my glasses and have never noticed any drawbacks. Don't get me wrong, you can use glasses with PSVR2 just fine but personally, something about the way it sits and the size of it's lenses makes me feel not quite as comfortable using my glasses without scratching it compared to the quest2 (before I got lens inserts) not to mention the higher cost of a replacement headset if I do mess it up. It may be worth getting non-prescription ones even if you don't wear glasses tbh since if you do damage them, a new pair of lens inserts is gonna be wayyy cheaper to replace than a whole headset - those lenses are easy to damage! Thanks for this review, as mentioned the brand I used for my Quest 2 don't support PSVR2 yet but these look perfect - I'll be getting myself a set!
I ordered from them quite a while ago but haven’t received a notice of shipment yet. Honestly excited for them because I don’t want to pop in my contacts every time I want to play after I’ve already taken them out, and I don’t want the lenses to scratch with my glasses. A conundrum.
Did you try blue light lenses on dark environment games such as Resident Evil Village or the Kayak where the mura effects are really bad in PSVR2. Did blue light lenses eliminate mura effects?
Yeah man I got vr optician lenses for my psvr2 , SO much better , makes me realise how much I tune out my frames and how blurry everything outside of the lenses are when I have glasses on I used to almost dread having to look above myself in vr because the weight of the headset would push my glases back into my face and it was very unpleasant, I read that the gap is for the IR / eye tracking
@@JSkeleton appreciate the 5% code too every little bit helps. My wife is an optician so she’s going to get my prescription numbers so I can get them ordered! Take care and God Bless
No worries, the thanks goes to VR Optician for even hooking me up with that code! It was honestly completely unexpected & I wouldn't have promoted the code if I didn't personally like the lenses! :) Oh for real? That's awesome! I'd love to hear what you think of the Lenses yourself if you do end up getting some!
@@JSkeleton Finally received my PSVR2 lenses today from VR Optician. Took a while since they had to go through customs (I live in the US). I’ll let you know what I think once I’ve used them for a while!
I experimented with some clip-on polarized sunglasses and screen brightness set to max to compensate for the resulting dimness. Mura had almost totally disappeared.
So i got the psvr2 & i was dissapointed with how blurry everything was whether it was in pavlov or trying to read the journal in the walking dead ch 1, & it was so bad i returned the headset for another one, but the new one was the same. So i had an eye test today & my right eye is quite bad where i couldnt see the letters they were showing me at all & they showed me what it would look like with glasses & i could see each letter perfectly. So i have an appointment tomorrow to find out what my prescription is so my question is, would these lense help me see a sharper image, especially around text or was it more to do with not finding the sweet spot??, If you think these lense will help me see a sharper image ill use your link & order them after i get my prescription tomorrow. I really wanted to love Vr but the constant bluriness just ruined my experience. Thanks.
I ordered a prescription pair using your code and they only took 6 days to arrive from Germany to UK. I ordered a pair of glasses with the same prescription on the same day from my opticians factory that's in the same city and haven't got them yet. The postage for the VR lenses to the UK only took about a day(about 5 days for the lenses to be made) on the most expensive delivery option (Fed Ex) so if you're not in too much of a rush then one of the other delivery options might be better for you.
There really clear and the headset is much more comfortable to wear,I wear glasses all the time and it's the first time I've been able to read properly without them so I'm really impressed and would recommend them to anyone.
Thanks for doing a test with the blue light lenses. I am someone who wants the perfect colors and not have that on my lenses if it makes things off color breaking the immersion. Some products have a night mode to not need the lenses and that to me is what would break it for me but it is just an option not going to be stuck on. I would save $15 to not get them with the anti blue light anyways. If I was to get two sets then it would be good but it would be too much money. I do play before I go to bed though so I really was hoping that it would not change the color tone even the slightest. I wonder if you add more blue to it would it still be blocked out but look more normal or would that make the filter pointless adding more blue light?
Looking forward to mine that I ordered today, since I very much don't want to scratch the lenses with my glasses and always leave quite a gap. Given that they are Zeiss lenses I have no doubt about their image quality.
Did you get your lenses?, if yes what is your verdict??, Everything in vr was blurry for me & it turns out my right eye is quite bad, & if I cover my left eye everything looks blurry which is the same as what I see in vr so it would be helpful if you could say whether these lenses made a difference. Thanks.
@georgebrown2190 I did yes. Good quality and finally I don't need to wear glasses and leave a safety gap to not scratch up the lenses. I feel it does make it a bit easier to get the sweet spot. Since my glasses aren't that large it also gets rid of seeing the frame from my glasses. Overall very happy with them. When ordering it's also fairly easy to enter the details from the prescirption glasses to get the lenses made to match those.
Polarized lenses of the lightest possible tint will reduce mura significantly for some reason. I use clip-on sunglasses and screen brightness set to max to compensate for the resulting dimness. Try it yourself.
I ordered ny lenses 4 weeks ago, unfortunately I lost the receipt that I printed and have yet to get the lenses. I'm thinking this is a rippoff as there is no way to contact them without an order number and there's no phone number listed.
It's not a ripoff, I can promise you that much, just contact their customer support from their website. Further, their site asks to please allow them up to 6 weeks before contacting them because it can take time. You mentioned it has only been 4 weeks, so I'd wait another 2 weeks and see if they arrive, if not contact them from their website :) vroptician.com/contact/reason
Great question! I can’t fully recall but I think maybe 2 weeks? They have to get the lenses made from the lens manufacturer then sent to them then sent to you if I remember right!

I'm not sure, but these lenses act like protectors in and of themselves, so I don't think you'd need protectors on top of having these?
