Kratochvil has installed hundreds of trolling motors and shares many tips and tricks to speed the process and ensure the job is done right the first time. While our original Minn Kota Ultrex install video featured an aluminum bass boat, we tackle upgrading an older fiberglass bass boat this time around, which brings about some fiberglass-specific pointers.
An older boat that floats is just as capable as a newer one as long as it's equipped with quality electronics and a durable and powerful trolling motor with built-in boat control capabilities. This video is aimed squarely at the "do it yourself" angler that likes saving money and enjoys tackling some hands-on projects.

As always awesome instruction. I'm still running my older Fortrex. At times I feel the motor is getting louder. I'm networked with a Helix 12 Chirp on the bow and a Helix 12 Mega SI Gen 2. Extra bird equipment to include a 360 (non mega).
