Honestly one of the most underrated mockumentaries ever made. I assume the reason it did poorly is because you have to be at least somewhat familiar with Herzog's life, works and philosophy in order to get most of the jokes and references, so it was always going to play to a relatively niche audience. Still, highly recommend it to any Herzog fans who haven't seen it, it's absolutely hilarious! That scene where the intern comes in with the fake Nessie head is top tier comedic timing and staging...
Walter Saxer (the guy that Kinski was screaming at in that famous video) said that the majority of what Herzog said in his book was completely made up. I might just be that Herzog is a notorious lier that got his credibility simply from the fact that Kinski was so incredibly insane that you would believe any story about him.
I love Werner Herzog the person, but I think people obsess over his personality so much (a sort of intellectual Chuck Norris) they forget to look at what an incredible filmmaker he is.
He cultivates that image himself though - keenly aware of how it helps his films grow. Moreover, he find that image not just advertising or manipulation but a way of drawing people in. In to what? Into an adequate relationship with how extraordinary life, and film, are.
so believable that someone he knew would tell this to the person setting up his meals the way he handles it, you can tell things like this happen to him frequently
being a vego myself, i was hoping werner would say he was one himself. but after seeing his films it would seem rather odd if he was a vegetarian hahaha...

Well, did you see his reaction? He may be an "intellectual" but he is also a real "manly man":) No, I do not think all vegetarians are wimpy. But some are, probably because they are iron and Vitamin B12 depleted. And if you are a political vegetarian, blech,oh well never mind. I'll get too much hate mail. But I don't agree, humans to me are omnivores and always will be, although we do in the 1st world now have a choice, just know about nutrition before you endevor into it.
Herzog is actually just another narrow minded old boomer trapped in his bubble. After watching almost all of his videos, I came to this realization. He has no real original thought, all of his influences and perspectives are just copied and re chewed
Herzog is desperate to know who told the guy that he was a vegetarian because he wants to find this person and eat his fingers.
hahahaha brilliant
Oh behave cannibal...
more like eat his shoe
Why did i read this in my head with his voice?
It was Klinski, defo
The more videos I watch of him just interacting with other people, the more I am convinced Werner Herzog is a comedic genius.
I've always gotten a vibe that he's trolling everyone.
The man deserves an adult swim show, which is equal parts beautiful and sincere and really cynical and funny.
This is a scene from a mocumentary feature film in which Herzog plays Herzog. It’s called Incident at Loch Ness, 2004.
Wouldn’t have expected to find a comment from you “in the wild”. Love your channel(s).
Thanks

Werner Herzog ate his shoe, you think he won't eat haggis?
Hahahahahahahaha. You made a guy laugh his ass off seven years later.
I appreciate the cut on “You like haggis?”
I fully anticipated reviling it.
It’s delicious. I’ve loved it every time.
I’d love for some haggis right now
I used to think Kinski was the insane one. But with time I realized that Herzog is the real deal

Nothing wrong with that it only works in his favor and hes very aware of the nature of the absurdity and novelty of his mannerisms accent etc.
He cultivates that image himself though - keenly aware of how it helps his films grow. Moreover, he find that image not just advertising or manipulation but a way of drawing people in. In to what? Into an adequate relationship with how extraordinary life, and film, are.

He has a deep suspicion that Klaus Kinski told him that.

Vegans do love to brag about their veganism. Like the elect in a cult 🙄. Somebody should make a movie about that.
"Too much vitamins." I'm with you, Werner!
I love how it cuts off right after Werner is asked whether or not he likes Haggis.
He didn’t dignify that question with a response.
from which movie is that?
lovely!
@SuperCinemaLover cheers, mate :)

I love it, the final question, "You like Haggis...?" Ha ha..!!
Lol must came by via internet... priceless

bit late lol, but if you're still interested it's from the satirical mockumentary Incident At Loch Ness, highly recommend if you're a fan of Herzog
