More akin to debentures at Wimbledon - As if…..By mid season it was obvious we were destined for relegation. However, I remember it fondly for the solidarity it brought to the fans. And eventually, the main reason that the board backed off. The Gary McAllister goal that you showed against Leeds was actually applauded by the Chicken Run. Hence his wave back. Even in adversity we could still show sportsmanship. Have a great Christmas and a Happy and prosperous New Year.
Absolutely brilliant again. At all these games. The league form improving gave us significant hope: well, it's West Ham isn't it?!?! Despite everything these were riveting days I remember vividly and fondly. Thank you Robert. This is magnificent. ♥️⚒️
These are brilliant historic records. It was a painful period to cut my teeth as a fan in but some of my all time favourite players and the club’s greatest doing his best to shepherd the team through the storm, all the while having his legs taken out from above. Plus some great music choices (Carter, the Wonder Stuff ❣️). Thank you again for these.
I was invited to meet all the players and staff in the dressing room at 1pm before the Wimbledon game. Had quite long chat with Tony Gale, he was friendly except when I brought up Keith Hackett... Mc Avennie was flirting with the bird I was with (of course). Kevin Keen was friendly too. Morley's hand was strange when I shook it (from the stabbng?) Ludo sat by himself not talking. We could clearly hear the noise & music coming from the Wimbledon dressing room, might have been the match where they trashed it. Foster and Gale had to play against Fashanu after the racist accusation from the last time they played. It was Peter Withe's last match as Manager. Got to meet the legend Bonzo which was awesome, and Dicksy. Cheers, great videos Banksy
