Hello @@hassanmasoodkhan8379! I am really a fan of " Wolfi" but Diego was the best and he would agree. If you do not know >Diego said about Lothar Mattäus : "The best opponent I had." This shows how great Diego ( "el 10") really was.
Overath is one of the best playmakers ever. One of the most underrated playmakers and midfielders. Germany are painted by the media as workaholics and average technique. But this nation has had plenty of technical playmakers like Netzer Schuster Flöhe Möller and Haßler; Özil/Kroos recently. Germany will always have playmakers and no.10s
I think in 1970s Germany were recognized as team full of flair players. as almost every NT had flair players all over the pitch in that era of flair football. In the book Tor! about german football they mentioned that media called Germany of early 70s as football of year 2000. but yeah strange stereotype (workman-like or machine-like) still persists in media even after reign of Germany of 2010s with their focus on attractive and technical football (with players like Kroos, Ozil, Reus, Goetze, Lahm, Hummels, Gundogan - all skillful and capable at playmaking).
@@robertwill23 Exactly. Germany even from the 30s always had one midfielder that controlled tempo and played amazing passes. Especially between the 70s-90s Germany we’re blessed with technical midfielders and playmaking sweepers.
Grande jogador. Homem de um só clube, FCKoln. O teu trabalho é de grande valor para que estas lendas não caiam no esquecimento e para as novas gerações pensarem que o futebol só existe com o CR7 e com o Messi.
Wolfgang Overath is one of underrated player ever. He took Gunter Netzer in bench. Overath soon regained his place ahead of Netzer, due to the latter's now being injured. Netzer himself said that Overath "was born to play for Germany". A dicipline, talented & tactically player, Overath was known for his passing ability, technique and outstanding left foot. A World Cup specialist, he won 1974 WC, 3rd 1970 WC, Runner up 1966 WC. Entered on 1974 WC Best XI. A Legend.
@@tegarsatriani4327 Overath was Not underrated, in germany Every Football fan knows about his great ability .He was one of the best midfielder germany ever had.
Great player, the West Germany team of the early 70s had a superb central spine running through it. To have Beckenbauer, Overath, Netzer, Muller et al at the same time was incredible
I saw him after his career at a game with older professional Stars against best player of county dithmarsha . He was 43 years old and he held the ball so close to his feet that no one was able to take the ball away from him. He made a great show for us , having still a great speed. I was impressed to see his fitness at that age. He liked to play football in private until the age of 80. Football was his life he told on tv.
When the swedish right winger, Roger Magnusson, came to Cologne on loan from Juventus in 1966/67 he was an instant hit and awoke the jealousy of Overath. The latter stopped giving Roger Magnusson any passes and Magnusson was happy to join the french club Olympique Marseille where he became one of their greatest players ever. Still, I think Overath was fantastic and also his younger team mate, Heinz Flohe.
Thx for the video. Wolfgang Overath was my favorite player in the sixties and seventies. 👍For me he is together with Gerd Müller and Franz Beckenbauer the best german player ever.
Hello ! I am crying here because of your nice words. For me "el 10" will always be "the best". But my model will always be this guy. Hello Siko : Here you can see some scenes by him! Rudi Rastlos
Great German left-footed players: Wolfgang Overath, Mesut Özil, Hansi Müller, Hans-Peter Briegel, Hans Schäfer, Felix Magath, Lukas Podolski, Andreas Brehme (two-footed) ....
Would you consider doing highlights for Eduardo Da Silva, a brazillian who played for Croatia. He was on the rise in Arsenal until a leg break ruined his career.

Also Littbarski and Schweinsteiger
Two of my favorite players that they play as a CAM( center attsck midfielder) and dont use the number 10 ,Mattias Sammer and the great Marcus Ballack

One of the Best players ever!!! Thanks Barbosa for this Pearl!!!!
A criminally forgotten maestro that was also as tough as nails 👍
omg i saw him first time now, genius!
Amazing player with even better song choice and great video

Barbosa giving "forgotten" players a shout out. Love the content keep it coming.
Really appreciate your channel mate. This is the first time I've seen or heard of this player and I think that is a crime lol. Dudes a maestro.

Exquisite left foot, a paint brush on the canvas. Maestro.

Beautiful left foot, making the number 12 legendary.
your taste and your musical culture is magnificent. Well done

The best midfielder you've never heard about
So true!
I knew him but had never seen him play. wonderful midfielder

Che giocatore....
He had his right foot only for fetching beer, they used to say in Germany but he was their greatest No. 10 ever.
After overath, germany never had a playmaker like him, never.

Unreal player
El mejor #10 de Alemania, Super crack.
My father talk a lot about this player.
Thank you Barbosa

Martin Palermo next
Stavedevo per Netzer...Ma non avevo osservato bene Overath!!!
Like a David Silva, recent times comparison
Would you consider doing highlights for Eduardo Da Silva, a brazillian who played for Croatia. He was on the rise in Arsenal until a leg break ruined his career.
Iker casillas, please!!
RIVELLINO e Overath mi deliziavano
Hi Barbosa, what about the video you did of Paul Gascoigne? I cannot seem to find it anymore
Hi, the Gascoigne's video is blocked in some countries due to copyright's music used in the video
Awwww too bad
What is the title of the music/song?
The video is available again! The music used is Children by Robert Miles
Cool. Thanks. Where is the link?
You can find it on youtube, it's available on the channel
lui il etait fort !
1. FC Köln
I've read that Netzer was better, but based on this not sure how - Overath seems far quicker and dynamic and an amazing long passer.
Os canhotos são os mais habilidosos
Built like a bull.
vg
Overath war der beste, dagegen sind Ballack, Neymar und Ronaldo nur Laiendarsteller.
GERMAN RIVERA.
Definitely underath, not overath.
Good to see a video of another superb German player. Please, make a video of two of my favourite players, Karlheinz Förster and Rainer Bonhof.
