Quick video showing the difference between mode 1 and mode 2 control for the Syma drones. There is no right or wrong way to control your RC, just use whatever you feel comfortable with.
On most drones/quadcopters & planes you can change the mode very easily generally from the controller.

"Syma Mode 1" is actually Mode 2
"Syma Mode 2" is actually Mode 4

Antman is there a high speed mode on this drone I've been told there is but not sure how to find it

1 question if you can help i used my syma x5sc1 for the 1st time yesterday we took some video but when i insert my SD card into my tablet or phone it just shows audio only and only plays sound and not actual video footage any idea why. Thank you

Holy first fligh almost had fly away and I drone quite a bit!! Lucky it has mode 1 I’d be taken er back ASAP! Ps thanks gotta go through fifty stupid videos to find yours good work keep it up!!!
Proper Mode 1 and mode 4 have yaw and throttle on the same stick, while pitch and rudder on another stick, mode 1 throttle on left while throttle of mode 4 is on right stick, mode 1 & 4 is easier to learn to hover, but difficult to do aerobatics later. Mode 2 and 3 is having throttle and rudder on the same stick (mode 2 throttle on left, 3 on right), and another stick control pitch and yaw, on a proper heli this actually translate to one hand control collective and vertical rotation, while another hand have complete control of the cyclic..
honestly this is the best cheap drone even the remote look's awesome and iv had expensive brush less drones so yah but thiss is like the funest to fly might get 1 soon

I'm gonna try mode 2 tomorrow. I just learned to fly it at default on mode 1, but I only have 20 minutes in it lol. Shouldn't be hard to learn mode 2. The reason for this is that it seems the majority of people fly in mode 2, so I want to be on the same page as everyone when checking out videos.

i am beginner and will buy a remote soon
on my drone it was all normal then something happened with the left stick it goes up and down and to the left. and right instead of just spinning and with the right stick it just goes back and front and spins the drone when the right stick should be making it go back front and side to side and the left stick to just make it go up and down and spin can I get help please

Do you have a good trim setting to take off normally? Cause i haven't figured out how to trim to right setting cause when i push the throttle it takes of so uncontrolled and its quiet hard to hover after it
If u can u send a pic of right trim ?
I find it easy to get into a stable hover, and when it starts drifting, trim whatever needs to be trimmed. Once you learn to not over-correct on the throttle you will be able to hover good. Took me a while to get the hang of it as well. Get yourself a Syma x5c-1, they are really great for learning to get the hang of things.
I have a syma X5SW. The controller is exactly the same. Apart from every video iv watched they have the tiny drone image on the LCD on the controller. Why does mine have a helicopter on it??

Mode one has the throttle stick on the right. The rudder/yaw is still on the left its just the throttle up and down and the elevator up and down swop sides. The mode 1 and 2 on the Syma is different to that in rc flying world.

It's all relative to the user. I prefer mode 1 because that's how I learned on it. I have (2) Syma X5SWs. I also prefer headless mode and unless I'm racing or chasing the dog I fart around on low speed. I love my drones and for what these are going for today ($39) you can't go wrong.

Year later but, it changes the speed of the quad. Low is for slow more precise flying and high rockets it where you fly. All it does is increase the quad's angle when you fly, thus using more of the prop's thrust for forward movement.

David Villa hold the top left button down on the controller for about five seconds until the controller starts beeping. The quads lights will flash once every 4 seconds to tell you when you have entered headless mode. When you want to come out of headless mode just repeat the process. If you need anymore help on headless mode there is a page in the hanbook telling you how to use headless mode and what it is and such☺☺☺ hope I helped!!!!!

Each mode changes the function of the flight sticks. Kind of like if you were playing COD, the left stick is usually forward, back, side to side, and the right stick is look up/down, rotate side to side. And then you can go into the settings and switch all of those functions.
