Eye of perception scale on attack and dps like newi can't really use it to its full potential because he's like other some DPSS scales on HP the new event weapon is scale on HP

i hate that this weapon matches mualanis aesthetics perfectly and it belonged to that tupac guy who we saw in the AQ who shares the same ancient name with mulani AND it SEEMS like it is supposed to be for her given the HP stats but the passive is so bad like I wish the craftable weapon and this weapon can exchange passives then this would be a perfect world

Tome of Eternal Flow works really well with Mualani both for damage and aethtetics. And I have it R3(sad Staff of Homa incident)

@@Indian_gae_boii I only have Mualani with no intention of getting Neuvi or Wanderer so it doesn't really matter for me. That book is a stat stick for most of my characters with a better option in Widsith

The fact that this is such a universal weapon for catalysts is exciting. Imagine putting this on my Yae, or a Klee, mona with ( pale flame) funnb weaponn

it isnt universal bc the substat is hp and the dmg it does scales of hp too ;-;
It's not really universal because it's basically only "viable" on Mualani and Neuvi (HP scaling DPS units) - and even then, it's outperformed by other 4-stars options - namely the new Natlan craftable for Mualani and often Prototype Amber for Neuvi as it helps stack furina's fanfare if you don't have her c2. At best, on Neuvi, assuming you don't need healing and energy, it will be a very minor increase in personal damage.
Also, using pale flame on any catalyst user currently in the game is a DPS loss. Even if you somehow manage to make it hit for ~150 000k (which would be a feat considering it takes into account enemy DEF and phys res%, unlike Clam), that an entire dedicated build and support cast for a measly... 15k DPS. Which is insanely bad. Any effort would be more beneficial elsewhere.
It's fun to try, but that's where it stops honestly.

Eula will do more physical damage. She has one of the highest nukes in the game as well.
This weapon is so much fun. I found out the effect can kick in with a plunge attack while chasing a foe during the Aranara quest line. Barbara tore through the enemy.
My first R5 Catalyst and my first Level 80 catalyst. Amazing weapon. (Barbara used to be on Lost Prayers)

Ty! Most of my videos are fairly easy to make. I think Im better at making a higher number of more casual videos rather than a low number of higher effort ones, so I can handle it just fine! (The exploration video this week is an example of one that did take a bit out of me, though, and was not really worth the time in hindsight)
using this weapon on my kokomi and she's basically a bonafide physical dps now since she also has 4pc. clam lol this is my fave event weapon

You gotta try the event weapon on Mualani, simply bumping into enemies with your shark counts as a “hit” so they explode without even have to press basic attack. Also it’s physical damage so you can kill hydro-immune enemies with it, it’s pretty nutty. At this rate I don’t know if I even want to upgrade to the ring of yaxche, if/when I ever get a catalyst billet; I’m having too much fun making enemies explode by bopping them.
Oh thats interesting Id assumed dmg would have to happen, I will actually almost assuredly use it on her then (even if not better than Ring or Sacrificial Jade it seems more fun)

the f2p eula nuke starts at 600k and can reach 1.2 MIl if you know what you are doing

I have been using this weapon on my neuvilette for overworld instead of amber and its actually pretty good.
casual 60-80 k physical dmg every 15 sec plus now he can kill hydro slimes XD.
I think this increases his personal dps but on furina teams with no healer (Kazu+ Zhongli) the team wide heals and energy regen for abyss is better i guess

This weapon is SO GOOD AND FUN. I have it on my Kokomi so between that and the clam set, she actually does decent damage while healing her team. (I know prototype amber is probably better for healing and support but I like having the damage while still healing.)
Yeah talking about Festering Desire, I remember how so many hated it. Some people intentionally didn't even redeem it from the event page or didn't care about the refine mats, stating how useless that weapon is. Who knew three years down there will be a character making such good use of it?
it's scarily strong on kokomi as you simply add a 40k damage to a healer at basically no cost, since E -> dash -> Attack is still slightly faster than the 2 seconds of character swapping cooldown. That is, if you play her as a healer. for dps you get two instances per rotation, however you'd run a hydro damage goblet, so it's about 60k, which makes moonglow a slightly better option, while amber reduces your ER needs which is now CRUCIAL, so it's quite... situational. Honestly running some calculations might make for a nice theorycraft video and a nice contribution to kqm
Yeah it could actually be interesting to find where the line is that it can be truly valuable. I imagine there is cases where using the thing will result in faster clears, but they are probably niche of course

Haha Barbara is definitely one of the units it makes more sense on, only hampered a bit by her very low base HP. I dont have her level 90, otherwise I wouldve tested it this video.
Also probably shouldve tested Baizhu but I hadnt considered using it on him yet!

Don't forget the other option: Frostbearer, which is also atk scaling.
This is so fun on Mualani, fun fact with Obsidian set the 2 piece passive also affects this weapon's DMG but you gotta hop on your shark before dealing any DMG.
I got Neuvillete's weapon and at first I was using it on her but after I saw someone using it, deleting effortlessly a group of enemies only by surfing through them I was sold, so I leveled it up and tried myself.
It has comparable level of DMG if not better than Tome, sure Tome is a stat stick, the passive doesn't works on her but the event weapon being able crit it's criminal, the lack of crit DMG was compensated by the extra DMG physical so in terms of DPS it's as soon as Tome.
This weapon is literally just a boulder thrown at the enemies face.

for the super conduct support, you can use lisa (her burst can lower enemy DEF) and mika (phys DMG bouns), i saw a video that after 15 kill stacks for the local legend, someone managed to get 1.2 million dmg with this thing

I put this on in the background to listen to while cleaning. 1 minute in I dropped what I was doing to level this weapon, but it turns out I have to wait two days until I can farm the materials for it 😅

I'm using it for yanfei's shield. It procs with burst.
This is the real answer. Tankfei with this is all upside, lets her do a bit of damage and the long cooldown doesn't matter much because you don't want a shield Yanfei on the field that long anyway.

I fed my barbara this weapon bc she's my second hydro on my neuvi team for the resonance and she's doing 11k on average bc she isn't quite built yet, but it's very cool lol. It means i have a means of damaging hydro enemies, even if slowly

Tho just being able to delete an enemy of your choosing in the overworld is nice. If only it were a bow. Sigewinne’s Bow could delete or turn the bubble into a doom bubble……….and you combine it with Nahida and Raiden(or Kuki)

Its really fun with Barbara, Furina, Nahida, Kuki/Raiden. Just a comfy team that lets Barbara have a little bit more damage. Its just a shame it doesnt ignore defense like clam.

Barbara is a fun and probably more obvious user for it, but her base HP is very low. And I wanted to get a big number from the thing, and also I don’t have her level 90, all factors making her irrelevant for this video. I wasnt making a guide saying what you should do with the thing, I was doing what I immediately had access to messing around with.
I guess it time to start building DPS Barbara again

I need 4 copies of eye of perception to finally build my old idea of physical catalyst team: three R5 eye + this weapon (I was planning use 4 eye of perception before). Team is something like Barbara with this thing, Charlotte, Yae, Lisa.
Honestly this weapon is very good, it is a sizable upgrade to my prototype amber, although I miss the healing sometimes.
This weapon is best in slot for DPS Nikola, the superconduct support I made up!

Mualani's normals don't even target the enemy properly, as she is hella half-baked (and going into surf-mode just for the meme hit makes no sense) so only Barbara, Baizhu, Neuvillette and maybe Tankfei can use it "properly".
Going into surf mode gets you 40% crit rate and the dmg% from 4pc Codex, so I think its worthwhile, but maybe clunky still yeah, and definitely loses some of that immediate “click one button get a bunch of damage” value. I do think I may try to build Baizhu to take better advantage of it more permanently though
