A draggy will give accurate gps times as well as 1/8 mile and even quarter mile times. The no prep no time drag races use it to keep their times and mph to themselves.
Been rewatching the road to horsepower series got me thinking. A dyno session would be cool to see the differences between the 3 different hemi heads. The predator hemi, ducar/Tillotson hemi and the wildcat hemi. Using the same short block with the average build; billet flywheel and rod, .265 cam, flatslide carb. Even use the same thickness of head gasket (new gasket for each head swap). Would be cool to see the dyno charts to see what head works best at which rpms.
Go by distance. You start at roughly the same place each time so you can calculate a known distance using your footage from the previous runs and compare that to the new runs. Once you know your distance you can use your footage to give you a time and you can compare that over the various stages of the build. Kind of like a dragster.
