Love to see smaller upgrades on this too like a 60 tooth sprocket and such to really see what we can get out of this build! Thank you RBG for the great content
Great videos and channel. Nice to see EC working with you. I would buy from them if their shipping prices were more reasonable. I realize that cost have increased, but they are off the charts. Sorry for the negativity.🤙
How are you liking the EC Carburetor partnership? Nice to see they’re serious about making some power, that’s fasho my brother!! Would like to see some pictures of the port work on the wildcat cylinder head. By the looks of the stock port’s,it probably doesn’t take much removal of the aluminum casting for a little better flow #’s. Great video RBG!!!
Man that engine would be DEADLY on my Rascal mini bike i have! It rips wheelies with a stage1 type predator 212 with a 30 series torque converter on a roll!
This build is crazy awesome. I had no idea you could get this kind of horsepower and torque from this engine! What is the total cost of the build from each stage?
Stage 3 with Evo ported head from ECC, price jumps to 980 shipped.. with the HP/TQ #s I would say a Tilly 225 or a stage 3 212 "Twister" for 799 is better value and its already put together which means no extra tool costs. I know it may be bashing em a bit but they really need to rework their shipping fees - Not sure if its set by item and thats why it stacks so hard if you do multiple things but it will be an issue since people want to buy the same parts that were used in the videos bc its shown to work. Love the series, would like to see price comparable options to show if it has real strength and value. ie previously mentioned 225R from Tillotson. Or the 224 Predator that is built up. Cost to performance with shipping should be accounted for.
The dragy may disappoint you number wise compared to what your used to seeing. After I got a dragy it really showed me horribly inaccurate phone gps is.....55mph ended up being 50 actual mph etc etc. But its nice having something thats actually accurate and consistent now.
GPS related stuff needs some technology breakthroughs for sure. Where I live it's hard to do a 0-30 or top speed because the GPS likes to cut out on everything.
Hello! If you went 57mph with a torque converter/jackshaft, if you were to straight chain the bike, how fast do you think this stage 3 wildcat on a trailmaster go???? Thanks!
Greeeat Channel! Thx man. Regarding torque numbers you can also look at it relatively to evaluate the effeciency of the cam/head/valves/etc. A good flowing NA engine will reach 7,4 ftlbs pr. 100 ccm (1,25 lbft/ci). A super flowing NA engine can reach 9,2 ftlbs pr 100 ccm (1,4 lbft/ci) This engine reaches 6,1 ftlbs/100 ccm which is ok but with plenty of room for improvement! The head is a major key - valve angles, valve shrouding, flow bias etc. And valve timing events with the cam of course. David Vizard has great videos on cylinder head flow and written great books on the subject. Calculating static compression ratio AND dynamic CR is also key to design the engine. There are simple internet tools for this provided one has the cam data necessary. Are there any behive springs out there for these engines? Instead of Dual springs a behive may be better. Keep up the work! Love your bible quotes ❤😊
Did you lose charging coils going to the billet flywheel? I'd like to spin my 223 up to about 5k, but I'd really like to retain my headlight without adding batteries.
Wanting to do a mild stage 2 build consisting of cam, flat top, springs, rod, flywheel, carb, coil, filter, and put it on G.P.S. 212 mini bike chassis. And was looking at building the 224 max performance now I’m questioning you on if the wildcat would be way better with the cost difference it don’t seem far off but what would be the bonus over the other with the build?
Depends on what stage 4 and stage 5 consist of. I'm guessing at some point you are going to increase displacement (you already mentioned there is no replacement like displacement). I'm going to assume that you plan on putting in the larger 58mm stroke crankshaft and overboring the block with larger pistons. I'm guessing with the increased displacement (say using their 70.5mm piston), it will depend on the carb. If it can flow enough, I'm thinking 18.5HP and 14.8TQ. From there, the only thing left is go with a bigger cam and possibly throttle body. Depending on how wild you go with the cam (if you keep some bottom or sacrifice for max peak). I'm going to guess 20.3HP and 15.5TQ is what you will end with if you go with a cam that doesn't sacrifice bottom end. If you go with an all out cam, I'm guessing 21HP and 13.7TQ.
Short oil change intervals take care of the oil. And there's no evidence anywhere that suggests oil temps get too hot in these engines. I have found the opposite. I can ride fairly hard for 20 minutes and get 150 degree oil temps. 150 is nothing and is not hot enough. The oil never thins all the way. The Honda GX engines came out decades ago and plenty of clones followed. If they needed oil coolers it would have been done many years ago.
Is the carb you used from ec pre clearenced ? Or did u have to do some clearening? I have the WC223 and I'm trying to follow your build but I don't have access to tools to do and clearence work.
Hey RGB I have a Honda gx270 and It has a 3800 rpm ignition coil I want some thing that will make it rev to like 6000-6500 if possible but I can not find a ignition coil for my motor there is some for the predator 212 but I don’t know if it will work what can I do?
Awesome video drop on my birthday hey!. I might have missed it but what valve springs in the ported head?. 26#? I got a wc946 head on the way. Cant wait.
What's the theoretical max that can be made with gasoline on these engines? Double and triple the power levels to really change and shake up the industry.
Everyone has a different opinion on what stage equals what upgrades but if you go basically go to the max and not leave anything factory and make sure you go as big as possible on bore/stroke and rockers and everything then I’m calling out 30HP and 28.5 FTLBS Torque
That's about what i think is a good max build considering cost, maintenance, and reliability. Try just a 24mm carb next? Cool how they carry power thru the graph. My motors are very similar and I consider them about 15 hp or so. So many kids out there think they make 20 + hp. It don't happen just bolting crap in or on!
Awesome video as usual. EC products are great. Dream video series: 390 vs 420 vs 440 vs 459 vs 500. Stock and stage 1 (lots of reusable parts). I'd love to see if the 390 only makes 11.7hp and if the big 500 actually makes 20hp.
Week 4 FOUR of waiting for RBG to make his promise of sharing a proper engine venting. It’s about keeping your word at this point my brother in ✝️
ROFL
You're taking this way too serious.
Demanding but paying nothing. Your getting free content and demanding more but giving nothing. The world today is unbelievable.
Another Fantastic Video, Greg! Thank you RBG!
Much love, brother! You've inspired me to run with the love small engines.
Anybody else want to see a good old flat head briggs
Yes dude I would love that. I want to build one for myslef but I can’t find any 7hp ones around
Ahhhhhh no
@@anthonyh.1512my buddy has one, I want to try to talk him out of it
I've got a methanol pre built flathead.. things wild but I've been trying to sell it local and no one wants it lol even with a running parts motor.
I do. I’m thinking of building a raptor now for a backup to my techumseh star.
Love this horse power series.
Love to see smaller upgrades on this too like a 60 tooth sprocket and such to really see what we can get out of this build! Thank you RBG for the great content
224 predator stage 3 VS 223 Stage 3 wildcat 🤔
Your work is so clear and consistent
Great videos and channel. Nice to see EC working with you. I would buy from them if their shipping prices were more reasonable. I realize that cost have increased, but they are off the charts. Sorry for the negativity.🤙
They've been terrible for a long time when it comes to shipping.
Shipping is getting outrageous for everyone. Inflation sucks.
What phenomenal T&H gains!

EC Carbs is excellent. Their tech support and shipping is un matched!

When is the video of the EC Carburetor Stage 3 Kit being put out! I’m curious on if their kit is close to the HP that you’re getting here
About 1hp/CI without trying very hard.
I need to have one of these.
A good head 15hp/13tq is haulin on a bike.
The dragy may disappoint you number wise compared to what your used to seeing. After I got a dragy it really showed me horribly inaccurate phone gps is.....55mph ended up being 50 actual mph etc etc. But its nice having something thats actually accurate and consistent now.

Waiting on that stage 4 build
We are waiting on the cam for that video. Hopefully soon I will be doing it. Sorry for the wait.
Would love to see how the WC946 head does on this engine. That would be a good next step
Hello! If you went 57mph with a torque converter/jackshaft, if you were to straight chain the bike, how fast do you think this stage 3 wildcat on a trailmaster go???? Thanks!
How about a video on making some wheelie bars. Would be useful with these engines.
1:26 26mm or 22mm?
looks like a vm22 so it's prolly 26mm
@@imondatgudkushanakahal The VM22 has a 22mm venturi.
Awesome video man!!!🤘🏽🫡
We need a part 4!!!
I think it will make around 21.54 hp (stage 5 head, 1.2 ratio roller rockers, maybe a 308 cam)
Greeeat Channel! Thx man.

The cold dense air should skew the results a bit.

This is almost the same exact engine I built on my channel over a year ago same cam same carb home ported head
Been looking at getting the wildcat 240rs can you do a video on it?
I’m thanking around 22.5hp, and 18Ft lbs of torque.
Read beard what did your oxygen sensor tell you on that last pull with ported head ?

The wildcat carb is awesome.. i need help on knowing what size push rods to get with the ec rockers.
What’s part number for the head?
Been looking you don’t mention nor in description
Did the E clips get put back on the rocker pins? I didn't see them get installed!
Planing of doing this build and saw you can also clear the cam would you recommend that??
Omg that snow and being a mini bike made me think of Loyd and harry on that little hog in aspen Colorado in dumb and dumber
I wonder if the long runner with the smaller carb makes a difference in the torque.
Stage 5 23.5 hp 17.8 torque

What's going on with the old supercharged buggy?
Impressive, good build
Is there a Kit you can buy that comes with all this or do i need to piece it all together? The ported head isnt in the info
The stage 2 kit with a ported head and 28mm carb. I’m in the process of putting together a build for this.
Is this better that a 224 predator built out?
The next person who sells a oil filter and pump kit is going to do well ... cooler cleaner oil ....just putting this out there
Short oil change intervals take care of the oil. And there's no evidence anywhere that suggests oil temps get too hot in these engines. I have found the opposite. I'm just here still waiting for The Road To Horsepower series that you ditched. 😢 what happened?
We have been posting videos every couple of weeks. No one ditched anything.
@@RedBeardsGarage No, your last video for that series was 9 months ago. Building the 212 HEMI doing dyno pulls. 7 videos.
you should dyno test a Pauls Karts cylinder head...
Are you familiar with or have tried port dimpling?
Can you give the price of each stage you are doing for this build. I enjoy watching.
This might be my first time ever engineer build.
Way to go!!!
10:31
I tried to tell all the girls around here that.
Stage 5 will be at I think 21.5 hp and 18 lb tq
18.39hp stage 5. racing stripes +5hp
Awesome video drop on my birthday hey!.
I might have missed it but what valve springs in the ported head?. 26#?
I got a wc946 head on the way. Cant wait.
Great show
Love the dumb and dumber ref
Methanol??
What's the theoretical max that can be made with gasoline on these engines? Double and triple the power levels to really change and shake up the industry.
On this particular size someone might be able to make 20-23hp on pump gas, maximum.
Can you build a motor for my kayos200
After stage 5 you should see like 18.6hp- 19.48hp 16.74 torque
24.3HP
Everyone has a different opinion on what stage equals what upgrades but if you go basically go to the max and not leave anything factory and make sure you go as big as possible on bore/stroke and rockers and everything then I’m calling out 30HP and 28.5 FTLBS Torque

Will that head work on my Ducar 224 with the same carb and cam?
The hemi head would fit but I'm not sure why you would want to do that.
Stage 5 20hp and 16.5 tq
19.54 hp stage 5
Can you do some dyno pulls with different clutches so we can see different gains or losses?
21.50hp 17.50 torque
Do Predator Hemi roller rockers fit the 223cc WildCat?
Also from stock to stage 3 doing the work myself whats the total cost breakdown?
Do a non hemi! Mix it up
Love the bible verse you put in there.
Must say impressed in the snow. That was quite aqesome. Use brass bushings not steel
I think a stage 5 kit will make 19 to 20 horsepower.
I bet it’ll make 20hp stage 5
22.5 hp stage 5
Stage 5 equal approx 22hp
Can you do a video on the ec evo head
I honestly will say 21 hp on the stage 5
23.8 hp
Really enjoy your videos. God bless you.🙏27hp
Aye red beard you said stage 4 coming real soon how soon...??? I'm ready
Stage 5 is going to be 27.34 hp
❌Can you dyno test the new EC WC946 head for us please?? ❌
Stage 5: AMR300
Bring it on.. stage #5…… lol
That 223 at stage 5 my guess is 31.5 hp! Love ec carburetors they have great stuff! Thanks red beard for helping me find them fron your videos
Stage 5 with methanol, my guess is 32
stage 5 on your dyno 24.61 HP Sause 18.5 torque
That's great. I have the same car
Guessing there will be a better cylinder head coming? One of their big valve heads or Evolution head?
I would try a bigger carb and thought that puny air filter in the trash!
