Adding Spacers to the Rhino-Rack Backbone - How to add the Roof Rack Table Slide

Many of you have told us that you want to run our Roof Rack Table Slide, but you don't have the 50mm clearance required to run it. Many of the Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platforms mounted using their Backbone system sit around 40-42mm clearance, depending on the vehicle. Well, we've got good news.
Our spacer kits utilise Leg Height Spacers designed by Rhino for their racks. For series 4, we've gathered the hardware you need to make it work with your rack. For series 5, we've even created hardware that you just can't buy. Plus we've got all the instructions on just what to do.

If you've got 40mm of clearance

I've installed this on my Prado. The functionality is great, but I have some questions:
- The table is very close to the roof at the closest point (only a couple of millimetres away) - will this be a problem?
- The table legs rattle and create a hell of a noise from the roof - how do you stop this?

I just ordered my mount with spacer and scheduled the rack to be mounted next week, after seeing the other video. I am very worried, the space does not seem to be enough at all when you have a loaded roofrack.. wondering if I should wrap the roof just in case..

Does this kit reduce the roof rack rating at all or do you still get the full 100kg offroad rating (less the weight of the pioneer platform and backbone)

Quick question: i see that you have FJ cruiser. I have Rhino rack on my FJ. So do you think i need this spacer to get enough gap for the table slides?

Any idea if this will allow enough clearance for an FJ cruiser to run the table holder?

Hey Daniel, afraid this one won't. The FJ needs around 20mm additional clearance to run the table slide. It might be a kit we add to our lineup at some point, but ideally, we'll look at designing an option with a slimmer table first, as 20mm can be a lot for some people.
