STORY
Hidden in plain sight behind a bustling road, we discovered an abandoned French manor. For over a decade, its secrets have remained concealed, but today, we are here to reveal them. This manor was once the home of Jacques and Jacqueline, a renowned architect couple who designed and built it themselves with great pride. Their son, Xavier, grew up to become a well-renowned painter. Xavier didn't follow in his father's footsteps, but he was equally ambitious in a different field. His paintings are considered masterpieces, and his creativity was unmatched. In 2010, Xavier and his wife mysteriously vanished, leaving behind their home and all its contents. What happened to them? Why did they abandon their beloved manor? Nobody in the neighborhood seems to know what happened to Xavier and his wife. Some say they simply moved away, but others believe they may have met with foul play. The manor has become a source of fascination and speculation, with many rumors circulating about its secrets. Join us on this adventure as we uncover the fate of the family who once called this place home. Is the manor haunted by their spirits? Or is there a more sinister explanation for their disappearance?

What a beautiful house filled with so many amazing details. Loved the paintings, the chairs and the bed with the floral fabric. Stunning. Wonder what happened to the couple and their children. The photos show so many cherished memories from the couple and their family.
He said there was only one male child, so he was not interested in the mansion. It means paying taxes and upkeeping property that he probably could not afford.
So respectful and careful not to cause damage of the places you explore. I love watching you guys❣️
How is trespassing on private property and filming there and publishing the video to make money out of it without authorisation freaking respectful?
Being respectful would be staying out of there.
Get out of here !!!
Precisely! @@frontenac5083
I love watching the Bros of decay They are two of the best! You are entitled to your opinion. The ones that go in breaking windows, poking holes in walls, shattering mirrors, and spraying graffiti and writing obscenities are the ones destroying and doing harm. I stand by my comment and love watching my favorite team of explorers that go to places we would never see and even telling the history of the places are to be commended and many thanks for allowing me to see places that I will never get to go. Since being diagnosed with a brain disease that has affected my ability to walk and causes dizziness so bad that I fall when I try to get up on my own. Was taken to ER 2 weeks ago covered in so much blood that the ambulance crew asked that I be taken straight to a room. My hair was soaked in so much blood and my gown was soaked to the point it had to be thrown in biohazard waste. I am so limited in what I can do so I watch the BOD Videos as they explore some beautiful places, castles, palaces and very beautiful abandoned homes and they do get permission to explore when they can and that’s also how they learn the history of the places they explore. They never take items with them and are very careful in all of their explorations not to cause harm or damage to the properties they explore. I say keep up the good work guys and I look forward to many more of their adventures. Love them❣️❤️❤️❤️
I especially love it when Leslie dresses in the period attire while walking through the manors and showing us how people do that time period lived.
I hope the owners are alive and well somewhere and that nothing nefarious happened to them.
I think it is a tax issue; they probably left France to avoid taxation.
Very beautiful. Very sad. I wonder what happened to them? He is my age, so, only 53 when they disappeared. Again....so beautifully sad....
This is a beautiful place. Great exploration. I am curious as to what happened to these people.
Me either
I am so addicted to this channel.❤❤ just love all your content. Love from Wisconsin.
I am as well, and living in Wisconsin
So many of these homes often leave pictures behind, but this house has more photos than any other house you've shown. Great video guys💜 Happy Thanksgiving 🦃
I love your artistic telling of homes of every size ❤️
You create the images of the days when inside there was life 🙏❤
Every time i watch like this, i feel so sad, the mansion alone😢
Absolutely fascinating...how do people just disappear like that? Love watching you and Danny film these abandoned homes, with respect and care. What you do, is unfold history and mystery. Thank you both for a great channel ;)
Such a beautiful home. Sad not knowing what happened to the people who lived there. Look forward to your videos. Hello from Nebraska
Lesley, thanks for this fantastic video of the abandoned French Mansion. You and Danny make a great team.
wow. That mansion is beautiful. I loved the firer places, mantels and all the furniture. Things I would love in my home. The people looked so young with their children. I hope some how it will be brought back.
I enjoy watching the video with Lesley and Danny together. Thank you
When I read the title and heard the names, I immediately got images that they died in a boating accident.
Then you went into the house and showed the pictures and the boat and were confirmed. Thank you. You're getting better and better.
I do hope this is not true, please God 🙏🏿
I was thinking the same of an accidental death.
Hello Lesley n Danny. Another beautiful video. I loved it. The house full of pics n lot of memories. Sad to see their belongings , the furniture and everything. Thank u both so much for showing amazing places 😊
What a show piece, stunning to say the least. Thank you so much for taking us along. Until next time.
Beautiful home with the sad ending, love the artwork and lot of interesting things inside the house, thank you for sharing
I just watched your video from three years ago about that place. Unbelievable how it has changed and furniture moved around and pictures redecorated. Even a radiator was taken out of the one bedrooms . This older video tells a different story than this new one, probably more the truth and it makes more sense. Great job, love your documentation’s
Do you have a link to the older video?
Yes someone has been there.
What a beautiful home. I love reading murder mysteries and as you were opening the cover on the upstairs fireplace it occurred to me to wonder if explorers ever find bodies in these abandoned homes? Could make a great story!
it's just heartbreaking that the couple just vanished and no one either knows or cares what happened to them.........
I loved this one. Its so strange how the people just disappeared. Where are the kids to take over the house? Too many questions. Is there no place, like the police to see if they have any information? Thank you so very much for this.
What an amazing place, just lovely 😊👍👍🙏🙏thanks guys
So many questions! You guys need a professional researcher to dig deeper. Is anyone still paying rates. Were the people reported missing , maybe they are in witness protection! Or living on an island after being shipwrecked. Did they take the dog? They must have had relatives somewhere. After 10 years someone must inherit the property.😊
I’m thinking the same. I’m thinking they went sailing and got caught in a storm. The house looks like they were coming back. French government should know something.
it's amazing how well preserved everything is in this house, from the photos to that 100+ year old letter
hope new life would be given to this place
Another beautiful home with a mysterious background! You guys are amazing!
Hello from Alabama 📷 happy Thursday to you Lesley. This looks stunning place.
I really like this place, Carey.
Thats just so SAD😢😢😢
Totally enjoy watching your explorations. Thanks Leslie and Danny for your love and respect of family histories. Greetings from Austin, Texas USA
Such beauty this house has. I would love to start with it empty and decorate it. Although they did a pretty good job themselves. Just a lovely home. I really wonder what happen to them. It's got sad undertones about what might have happened to them. Makes it all mysterious. Great video, thank you for a proffessional tour.
love ur videos, this place is beautiful. Thank-You
What a captivating beauty…and mystery.
Take the key and please lock the door
Please investigate and check what happened to this precious family! Police should go and check what was going on!
Oh, Lord...
Do you believe every idiotic story these fools make up?
You should believe nothing they say; they're always making stuff up to try (and fail) to make things more interesting.
Hey dear Lesley Thank you so much for sharing this absolutely fascinating revisit in that still quite intact beautiful abandoned French manor house. I loved listening to the dialogue you had with your excellent camera man Danny. Sometimes he saw something interesting, where he could draw your attention to it. I especially loved the explore tour through that remarkably beautiful living room and also the dining room with really stylish antique furniture and smaller antiques on the tables and side boards. - Very beautiful paintings were throughout the place visible. Wow, the former owner was really a truly talented artist. - Also all these photographs showing life moments of the former owners frozen in time, were so touching and remarkable to see. - I always love seeing you, dear Lesley, pointing out surprising and interesting objects. You really have such a good eye for details, bro! Amazing!
Stay safe and take care. Wishing you all the best, peace and kindest regards from now again quite sunny Switzerland.
Somebody must come to save that place, this is very, very important 🙏🏿
Xavier was toen 7 jaar oud.
I wonder how you know ? any more information about them
leslieee great find it is gorgeous i love big abandoned mansions i know u were in pennsylvania my home state u should come back soon u are more than welcome to come here any time such a beautiful elegant black and the stairway was beautiful to
Fascinating thank you for showing us around. Picture of Hitler makes me wonder about the connections the family may have had. Leaving such intimate family photos behind doesn’t make sense. So much we don’t know. France is truly a mystery. Just hope that thieves don’t ever discover this time piece. Truly humbling.
🖤🙇♀️”..I love sensations of the colours of the place, the wall, the floor, and all Amazing things in there. so beatiful. Thank you both for sharing”
An amazing video!!! Thanks for sharing
Have you ever thought that maybe the family decided to do a big sailing trip and perished at sea?
Interessanter Gedanke. Neue Fenster, neues Dach, die vielen Erinnerungsstücke zurück gelassen. Da muss etwas Unvorhergesehenes passiert sein 🤔

I looked for translate to click on, couldn't find one... 😒
I was thinking exactly the same thing!!
I'm so happy to see this, I was worried lol I don't know if I'll get to see it till later. I'm having one of those weeks.

They liked sailing. Wonder if something happened to them out to sea. So sad whatever happened, they never returned home
And they must have taken their camera(s) with them. Because that house is full of pictures throughout all the rooms. I can't imagine they left without a camera.
I know already we're going to love it!
@Tinarusso greetings I hope you are well
@carey38 I was looking around for you last night. ❤️
Wonderful place. Huge and lovely
So what happened with that big family, no answer from any body locals citizens? !!!
When I saw the "Upholstery-bed" I was stunned, because I'm sitting on a similar one, somewhere in the house we even have that same finishing in the wood as that bed. The frames were maybe mass-produced in the 70ies.
Those chandeliers may be made by the artist. Eccentric. Looks more like a museum than a home. Just bizarre. Nice tour.
Such an interesting couple love that home so awesome!
Wonderful presentation, thanks for sharing. I'm going to take a guess and say this is a 3 generation manor house. Generation #1 & #2 lived and died in the house and generation #3 lived there for a while then decided their inheritance was better spent travelling the world by sailboat than restoring the property. They just seem like the adventurous types.
Such a beautiful place to be abandoned.
Beautiful home
Thank u so relaxing ng
Very beautiful and amazing magical
*Hello sir, PLEASE can you tell me which camera you have used for this video...? Thank you, very much ..!*
Hello, guys! The wonderful interior design and the exquisite antiques this manor has!! I love the paintings, seeing them unfinished or destroyed is heartbreaking!
Thank you for this great episode!

You have the most respect I enjoy all your videos
Oh, right!
And how is it respectful to trespass on private property, go through someone's private papers, film the lot and show it publicly on TH-cam?
Please, explain.
Thanks for awesome video I enjoyed watching
No that's not a tv on that desk, it's an ancient Minitel....old french computer.
Hi love to all Ann uk ❤️❤️❤️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
I think this is the first time I have ever heard you say you didn’t like the furniture. 😂
This is heartbreaking.
Hi Lesley & Danny, Abandoned French Mansion of a Notable Artist !! 🤩
First When Watching the Link Didn`t Appear at the Upper Right Corner, About What It Looked Like 4 Yrs Back ❓
Ok Lesley when Pronouncing Babbel it Should Sound Like Ba-Bull NOT Bubble‼
I Think, the Family Went on Their Sail Boat & Never Returned, Leaving Everything !!☹
The Abandoned Manor Could Be Saved, IF Someone Would Come & Take Out All the Weeds, Trees & People Could Come & Buy It!!
Some Guys Do the Cleaning For Free, to do TH-cam Videos!!
The House was Lovely, Pictures, Furnitures, Paintings & Chandeliers & the Car‼
The Art Mixing Plate is Called a Palette..Sounds like Pal-ette!!
The White Goose Statue was a Swan!!
Thanks Guys for Sharing, Take Care & Be Safe in the Van to Your Next Journey!! 😎❤ Love Barb from Central Illinois USA❣
I am not sure the white goose statue is a swan. If they were swans, there would likely be more of a bend in its neck. France and geese do go together. Think of Pate.
A great place! Thanks!
That dusty piano was made by the finest piano company in the world, Erard of Paris . They were the equivalent of today's Steinway and Bosendorfer pianos. They are still sought after. Google says:
Erard pianos earned the devotion of many well-known players, including Liszt and Mendelssohn. Although Chopin preferred Parisian rival Pleyel's pianos, he nevertheless acknowledged the beauty of the Erards and admired their consistency in touch and sound.
Kahit gaano tayo kayaman lahat ng meron dito sa lupa iwanan lang natin, 2 Corinthians 5:7 for we walk by faith, not by sight. Everlasting life. Dapat natin gawin accept Jesus Christ as our personal savior. Thank u.
But out of respect for the Christian that watch he will not quit using God’s name in vain! He may not believe but simple respect, like he gives the homes!
Beautiful thank you
Beautiful show! I wish you would incorporate a chat with spirits. In Brazil they make a “spirit box” that captures any energies in the environment. It will be interesting to know what happened to these souls. They may be anxious to tell their stories before they move to the spiritual world 😊
I wonder about the family. Is there no one left who would want the family pictures at least? How strange. What a shame that there’s nobody who even cares. Did the whole family disappear? WOW
An enchanted house
Valuable things everywhere of different kinds
Thank you 🙏.
Does Danny have a TH-cam channel? Amazing wonderful video these 2 men work together and they care about the places they and items they are left behind and one another.❤
Thanks!
👏👏👏my favorite duo!!!!
Muito lindo mesmo❤
Very beautiful but sad
That portrait/picture of an “important person” was of Charles de Gaulle, 18th President of France. In office 8 January 1959 - 28 April 1969.
NOPE!
It's notorious anti-Semite, traitor and collaborationist Marshal Philippe Pétain (1856 - 1951), pretty much the exact opposite of de Gaulle.
Why on earth do you think the need to comment what you did if you have NO CLUE what you're talking about?
