@@zuk207 the market will go back down. I've been offered 23k for my custom built 07 wrx, now offers are dropping to about 18k and lower. Not that I'll ever sell it, it's sitting in my garage right now waiting for a throwout bearing, but as the OC stated, midwest housing is cheap, our house payment is like $700 a month, and certain jobs pay pretty damn good out here.
@@davewilliams5721 I feel like the prices really go up for most jdm cars not including gtr supra etc go up for a couple years due to the 25 year import law. Here in Canada we get cars once they are 15 years and are pretty affordable until the 25 mark hits because then the US starts to import which drives the price up. Like the accord euro r used to only be like 10k cad for a clean one and now they cost much much more.
I’m gonna get shredded for this in the comments but I really want to see one of your many amazing JDM’s fully finished and then just seeing it full on ripping on the streets/tracks. In completion! You’re spreading your greatness so thin across so many platforms that it’s becoming hard follow what you do soooo well.

Hey Evan! Fun fact, the little thing hanging is meant to dispersed static energy from the car. When the car drives down the road it creates a ground to nullify the static energy that comes when driving the car on the road. It’s a pretty popular thing in Japan and is pretty cool. Don’t know if they really work but thought it would be cool to share with you. If I didn’t get it correct can someone correct me that knows!!

A snorkel,some rally headlights and a lift kit would be the most coolest thing to do on this beast. So ye a rally build would be the best idea for a car litterally built for rally lol
Honestly for now I would love to see it cleanly modified like the evo. Those two cars side by side would hit.
I'd refresh, tighten and sound proof the interior. Just like I would my car.
My 2015 WRX feels like its from 1996 as well.

i love subarus but after helping my buddy build his hawkeye sti making 500whp i honestly hate working on them it has an iag stage 2 block and the biggest turbo you can fit on stock location conservative tune since its not fully built the car rips

Lamco is super rare and factory, they came in gc8 and bugeyes
I just sold a GC8 triple LaMco white gauge pod for 500 bucks, all sensors and mint condition. I got blown up with potential buyers lol

Personally id leave it as is cosmetically and perhaps do a bigger turbo upgrade and a tune. Sometimes less is more, especially on mint condition cars like that in my opinion

I think it would be dope for you to have two evos and two subarus. I love the GC front ends. If you're really feelin it you should keep this car and build it up for sure. Keep it up Evan! Loving all the content lately.

Hey man, I live like 20 minutes from JUN. I have a 96 WRX STI 555 Ed. Wagon in mint condition and love the content on the Subaru's. I am in the military and moving back to the states from Japan in the next month. I may be able to pick up that lip for you and bring it back with me. Keep up the good work, and keep the old JDM Subaru content flowing!

This man car collection is immaculate
The heads are another way to confirm if it’s closed or semi closed. Closed deck blocks have squares on the heads n semi open heads will have straight lines so it’ll be a ej20k n the build tag will also tell you
I own a white 99 wrx gc8 that I fully sti swapped and it’s sick I would keep both the subarus as they are both very different cars in my opinion when driving
Thats the facelift version of your sti. Which has an ej20k. You can tell by the coil pack on the center of the intake manifold opposed to coil-on-plug on your ej20g.
A similar build like the Evo would be clean
Love they new pickup evan! Little side note if its from Japan. They are factory tuned for 100octane. Even if it was de-tuned for importing to america they still tend to knock upon lower octane rating. If possible 100octane would be ideal 😊 just a quick FYI

Rally/street build throw some kc lights on the front bumper and some mudflaps and a bigger wing and some nice wheels

Considering how clean this is I'd probably sit on it for a while. With minimal mods. Coilovers, lip kit, wheel and keep it that way.

I love that you want to keep it original. I have a 02 wrx that is minttt, 75k miles, and one previous owner. I'm keeping it mostly stock, though I have done a couple small tasteful mods. These cars are incredible from the factory, so why change it.

A few years ago my brothers gc8 was totalled and it was my favorite car his ever owned he got a mk3 supra and bugeye but the gc8 was the king. I miss it 😢
I think a fun touge build would be super sick for this WRX a little 22b style stuff and just keep it super super simple but thrash it
22b replica would be great, ABW Motorsports make great quality kits for all sorts of subarus, had the WRC widebody kit from them for my old 2002 WRX.
Haven’t watched u in a while so I picked a random video to watch and the advice was exactly what I needed thx
I had a 99 model in Australia, those tail lights alone are $500 here, they're STI lights. 👌🏻 I had the front lip kit, lowered, sway bars, control arms etc. 3 inch exhaust, 4.11 ratio gear box, the list goes on.
what version is evan's tho? is it version 4?

I have a 99 Impreza hatch looks just like that same hood and it has a spoiler it’s white too wicked clean I bought it with 83k on it for 800 bucks put 600 bucks into the motor to get it running about to click 100k on it runs awesome! Love the content

Rally build a 100% also the exhaust sounds good as it is Lowkey
Don’t go bigger turbo on the Sti. Keep it stock. Trust me, you won’t regret it
I would do a street build about 450hp, go with a kinegawa td05 that’s what I did and it gives it a nice kick
Keep it. Up the boost, exhaust etc keep it peppy but reliable, coilovers etc. Nice detail, wheels & have it for the same purpose as the evo 3 & sti subie wagon 🔥🔥🔥🔥
It is 20g motor but open deck 1996 I think some 94 an 95 came out close deck but not end the world lol ej207 block is the one too go now days .getting hard to find oem close deck block or u can the ej22t close deck block it bolt straight up 😊

Ej20k not a 20g usually the intercooler is a dead giveaway and the distributor location is also a giveaway but they come with an ihi turbo little more power but it’s a semi closed deck

Personally I think I'd do like a Colin McRae tribute with it man. Such a perfect car though. Just a tidy up, nice pair of wheels, lowered a bit and maybe a spoiler and it would be ace. It's so period correct though. It's a tough one.

and if it were me personally, id honestly take it back to stock and keep it clean, these have been my favorite cars ever since i was a kid and my family would record colin and i used to watch old tape recordings of his driving. closest id ever come was a 2.5rs that was BEYOND rusty that i owned for a while.
