      The blue is a very pretty color on your daughter’s knife.
      I like the one with the saw pattern in the leather. Also that cut out for your pen is clever. Thanks for the video R.

    Those are nice! your giving me some inspiration. I've got a bunch of scrap leather from a furniture factory. It is too thin for a regular fixed blade side sheath but I think it would be fine for these slips I've never had but 1 or 2 of the slips and they were real small. But I think I would like carrying one nowadays

    I'm pretty new to traditionals, so I'm looking for someone with experience in what is best.

    Hello, so I'm working on filling up my cart at Tandy Leather, but I was needing a little help on choosing the right size stitching hole puncher and thread sizes, I measured some of my sheaths stitching and it looks to be a 3mm spacing but I'm not sure how to judge the size of the holes themselves because I wouldn't want a larger diameter hole and use thin threads, I was wanting to use a thicker .5 - 1mm thickness heavy duty waxed thread or "Synthetic Sinew" obviously I don't want to use a thin thread like in my sewing kits for shirt buttons, right? Also it seems that I may want at least a 4 prong stitching hole puncher and also 2 prong if I'm going to be going around any rounded bottoms. You think you can tell me the sizes of the hole puncher tool and what size threads you're using, or even of it really matters? Thanks

    • @richterknives
      @richterknives  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I honestly don’t know the sizes in the hole punches. I just use the generic ones I bought with my beginners kit. I use 0.8mm thread

      Can’t you punch four corner holes and slot the back for 2” belts to the punched holes like they do with Schrade pouches It would be hard to do after they’re made but it seems like it would be a simple task before you sewed them together Just an idea for you to think about branching out into another item to offer I would be interested in becoming a customer and I am a big mouth on TH-cam about promoting products I love

    • @richterknives
      @richterknives  ปีที่แล้ว

      I can make it happen but I have a full time job so it’ll take a minute. That’s why I make these. They don’t take up much of my time. If you wanna DM me on Instagram we could come up with a plan bud.

      Well I don’t have Instagram but I’ll check with my kids and see if they do bc they are into sheaths too Thanks
      The Panama carries perfectly in the Buck 110 Pouch but I don’t like to cover up a beautiful knife like that Mine is the Smooth Gray Bone with Black Oval Shield and came perfect in fit finish centering and grind So I need a sheath that lets the top 3/4” show when it’s standing up
