Thank you. I had mixed info on the presence of air bags in the seat. I needed to know if there are airbags in the seat due to wanting to install a seat cover.

Hello sir, my car had an accident and it locked the front seat belts but they are already repaired and the roof bags exploded but they have not been replaced yet. It is necessary to change the air bag control before installing the air bags and new seat belts, thanks for you video

On my 2018 RAV4 it doesn’t have a ON/OFF switch to turn off the passengers airbag, or rather I can’t find it. Do you know where it’s located or does a person interface with the “maintenance” section using the steering wheel control(like how I reset the oil change service reminder when I do an oil change)? If there isn’t a switch to turn off the passengers airbag, then I plan on disconnecting the 4th connector for the seat bottom bladder(I think that is what you called it) that measures the weight of the passenger…Do you think this is a good idea. In summary, I simply want to disable/turn off my passenger airbag. Thanks in-advance for your reply.

With these new advanced Airbag systems it's a lot harder to get around the built in safety features in the system. My concern with trying to disable the passenger side airbag that's not designed to be turned off is that it could interfere with the correct operation of the rest of the system. In theory it shouldn't cause other problems but I'd rather not take any chances with safety. If your model is one that doesn't have a key on the passenger side dash to disable it then my recommendation is don't disable it for your own safety.
