i learnt not how to do this JOB , the workshop manual states drive the car up on ramps and get this underneath the car, i have done this job before i used to work for Ford servicing police cars , you access this UNDER the car !!
Great lesson on instal and set up used this for me el Fairmont work first go doing it again on same car with au vct no dice it wants to start I get a sputter out of it that’s about it I think doing something wrong maybe
6 cylinder EF Falcon does not run a distributor,they have a coil pack ignition. The following models have a Distributor. EA,EB,ED, ELsedans & XG,XH utes
Good job mate I need you my dedicated LPG FG 2006 model has a very rough idle as a coil pack has gone but done the illumination problem of New LPG spark plugs new coil packs and still runs rough like it’s missing a cylinder maybe it’s the throttle body I’ll have to clean that again I no LPG is dirty on the intake and clean on manifold side 🥲

I done a conversation on my ford XG ute, I put ef motor an el complete wiring in dash wiring with Ford xd xe dash with the el dash wiring, but my issue is my idel sticking around 2rpm then surging but im running a manual gearbox with a el auto ecu, I know ef motors has a coil pack but I took it off an put a distributor in
awesome video simon! i see the original was a bosch and you replaced it with aftermarket parts, ive heard aftermarket distributors are known to fail within 6 months, maby just the ebay ones, my EL seems to have an aftermarket dizzy, so im going to try find a genuine bosch one, also i just replaced the coil with a fuel meizer one, same one you used, is this particular car still running great? i really dont want to be doing this again in 6 months time, hopefully i can get it running before the end of the day

if you only replace bcm it will not start.cause key smart lock control not read. ..can to 3 option... no1 have to get key and steering lock come with that bcm...no2 can get lock smith reprogram the bcm for your preview key...and no 3 you go to ebay type in smart lock control module...it come with instruction you can do it so this module will bypass smart lock....i hope this will help you
El falcon has very rough idle. No power under load, misfires and backfires. Have so far changed plugs, leads, coil, distributor, injectors, fuel rail, checked for vacuum leaks, fuel filter, fuel pump, inlet manifold gasket, throttle position sensor, fuel pressure regulator with no luck. Any ideas?
the misfires that mean you got the distributor in wrong timming....checked distributor again .turn engine number 1 on death top ...and try 1 target on distributor.and go from there hope it work for you...

My au ford falcon has an issue it won't start, the motor will turn and turn over but still nothing. It's got fuel, TDC is fine but it's sounding like the head has no compression
yeah checked compressure if you have tools... and if all with good compressure checked the coil...maybe the coil 1 engine gone.and if they all have spark next is the injector
@@TheDingdong78 IV got spark,I've got fuel all the way upto the injectors from pump I've got no bang tho I'd say it's either head gasket or timing as the heads back firing from the intake manifold, so that could also be stuck valve
You actually have to take the FG dedicated LPG fords to the Ford dealers to tune them through the computer it sucks because they charge you thousands of dollars for 10 minutes 🤣

Don't ever ever use a aftermarket dizzy with the gear it came with. It will chew the aux shaft gear in your engine.
Correct, change the new gear with the old one.

@@TheDingdong78 lol really? the car in park or neutral idles at 650 rpm and the gearbox engages reverse fine and has no slips on reverse.

i would be looking at the catalyctic convertor , also if the EF falcon you have is running LPG you need to run it with LPG spark plugs

Car is a Ford EL Hybrid NOT an Ford EF. Ford EF had coil not distributor.
