I’m pretty sure it’s more due to the fact that his immunity to the drug addiction is temporary as that addiction binds to him on a molecular level. It’s the same injection that made him Spider-Man in the first place

Nah he overwrote his dna to it’s original format to free himself from the rapture addiction. The process was sabotaged making him 50% spider. He cured the rapture addiction though(or at least in the comics)

He already did twice. First in the Into the Spider-verse post-credits scene, second in the beginning of Across the Spider-verse while talking to Gwen before beating the Renaissance Vulture.
He just didn't get to actually make a whole little story explaining how he got his powers because in the post-credits scene he just goes to the Earth of the "pointing meme" Spiderman right after saying it, and in the Across the Spider-verse he gets cut off by Gwen.

Or it could be to tone down his senses because since he wasn't bitten and basically had his DNA spliced with a spider he doesn't have spidersense but enhanced senses all around. And because of that he has natural night vision but his eyes are sensitive to sunlight so he would usually be wearing sunglasses. But considering when he took his injection it glossed over his eyes it could probably be just some type of lens for his eyes

@@christianriver6039 well let me explain in the comics, his spider powers are forcibly put into his genetics by him of course because he has been drugged by his boss. and it might be possible that his powers are temporary, that's why he keeps injecting himself a type of serum to keep his spider power.
the reason he has fangs is because in real life, spiders have fangs that can inject venom to paralyze their pray.
and why he has talons is because,
spiders have tiny claws to help them stick to walls.
And the strength is by his genetic coding.
it's funny because he was not bitten by a radioactive spider instead, he created his own superpower.

Unless the syrum is just containing his more animalistic urges by literally caging his DNA and the reason this miguel doesn’t need sunglasses is because when hes not an all out beast it holds back some of his powers, like the incredibly enhanced perception
Maybe he lost it after losing his family and couldnt hold back his urges and joke around anymore so he takes this to numb himself. Could also be a reason he needed to get more buff because unlike pavitr and miles who just get bigger, he didnt have the same level of super strength anymore if he wanted to remain level headed and in control so he had to work his body to its limit. No, he's not a vampire. His genes were spliced with that of a spiders, giving him the abilities he has. Fangs, retractable claws kn his fingers, organic webbing, super strength, and hightened senses and vision that allows him to see in the dark. He also can produce a type of non deadly venom that paralyzes the person he bites. So no, nothing to do with being a vampire and needing blood. He just cheats to be comparable to the natural abilities of a Spider Man.
He is not a vampire, that is just a joke because he has fangs like a spider to inject non toxic venom into people to paralyze them

For a better explanation than this awful short, In the comics Miguel got hooked on the future drug Rapture by his boss who tricked him into taking it, but it’s so addictive that Miguel had no choice but to keep taking it and rely on his boss to supply it for free so long as Miguel kept working for Alchemax and kept his mouth shut about the corruption at Alchemax. Miguel seeking to cure his addiction, used his knowledge of gene therapy to make a cure for himself, but his version of it was replaced by a jealous coworker who swapped it for a serum designed to try and replicate the original Spider-man’s powers (created since people of the 2090’s are nostalgic for the heroic age and Alchemax wants to create and control superheroes). This formula was actually faulty and should’ve disfigured Miguel but Miguel’s own gene therapy solution designed to cure him got mixed with it, and they ended up creating a working version but one that only worked for Miguel. While in the comics this is permanent to my knowledge, in the movie he probably keeps injecting it to either keep his DNA stable or to keep his powers and not become addicted to Rapture again.

I think I speak for all when I say we NEED more Miguel in Beyond the spider verse. Me personally I was never a big fan of spiderman 2099, but when I saw this movie I feel in love with this adaptation, Oscar Isaac killed it.
