One thing to clear here, the humiliating defeat wasn’t only for united states but it was for the collective west including Britain for the fourth time.

The west didn't lose. Their goal was to disrupt the region. They won. We need to stop saying dumb things liek this. I served in the royal marines 2 tours, on my last tour I read the Quran and I converted in my last 3 weeks of deployment and ive been a muslim ever since. The Taliban are completely militarily inept, we wouldn't ever reciece a single casualty fighting them from small arms fire. EVER. They only ever got us from IEDs. Wed kill 30-40 of them at a time because they would just run towards us in clear line of sight. They have no understanding of even aiming down the rifle or firing in semi auto. As Muslims we need to stop saying dumb stuff. We didn't beat the kuffar, their aim wasn;t to conquer Afghanistan, if it was theyd of just done what Alexander the great did did when he conquered Khorasan and kill the population and make settlements. Their goal was to stop the entire region from becoming a stable power block. They have succeeded. They didn;t want to stay there. They wanted to grind it into staying an undeveloped shithole and they succeeded. My great wish is to one day fight for an Islamic state and redeem myself after fighting for the west. But its so depressing seeing Muslims be tricked into not realising their enemies are winning on every front.

I've responded to you many times and on many videos with facts, who h u kow conveniently forget. Anyway, here goes...those martyrdom attacks never targetted civilians, that was never the intention at all and if u look at the target precision rate of Taliban, u will see that they were mostly on point with hitting military and high value targets. Remember, Taliban did not have the advanced military technology and equipment, nor an airforce and drones, nor the luxury to be out in the open and time at the times of the attacks with then being hunted by the most advance technology and equipment, which is why there were unintended civilian casualties...why would they want to kill their own whom they were fighting to protect, defend and free! Also, remember there were false glag attacks done in the name of Taliban, a big one being the 31 May 2017 attack in Kabul, which Taliban has immediately denied. The infrastructure bring damaged was military strategy and smart moves...look at what the Ukrainians did or is is only acceptable to u when others do it?
U don't even live in Afghanistan yet u are getting involved in our business....

    Smile oh brave Mujahidideen
    You struggled alone
    On false accusation
    For many years
    Facing hardship
    And pain
    Bereavement
    After bereavement
    For our chosen Martyrs
    But you kept on striving
    For the sake of Allah
    So Alhamdullillah today
    You stand Victorious
    Still seemingly alone
    As the World leaders
    Negate your virtue
    But remember beloved
    You are not alone!
    For you have Allah
    And the Angels
    On your side
    Whilst the Faithful believers
    Silently stand with you
    Not helpless
    But grasping the most powerful
    Weapon on Earth
    And that is dua
    Smile oh brave Mujahideen

As a fellow Afghan who is well read in the politics of Afghanistan I am deeply disappointed in kakar biased and apologetic behavior towards the Taliban. The truth is most people in Afghanistan don't want the Taliban. They come to power in Afghanistan by making deals with the USA. They receive a minimum of 40 million dollars per week from the USA. It is far cheaper for the USA to have the Taliban as a puppet regime than Karzai and Ghani. Blaming the economic disaster on others and saying the afghan economy is based on war and without war depression would have happened anyway doesn't make any sense. War economy is an argument that can be used for strong and industrialized countries not AFG. AFG does not produce anything that is used in war (such as weapons) or related to war except Drugs then. Opium trade was dominated by the Taliban and it is still going on. So that has not changed. The economy is destroyed because people lost their jobs and 50% of the population (women) is not even allowed to work. Everything and anything is prohibited because they deemed it haram. Even hairdresser for women, Public hamams and public parks etc.
He was completely silent about the mass killings by the Taliban, arrest, torture and rape of women in Taliban prisons and dungeons. Extrajudicial killing of former government employees. Forced marriages of underage girls to their soldiers. Confiscating the properties of common civilians by the Taliban. Forced relocation of pashtuns from Pakistan and south of AFG to the North of the country to change its demographics (similar to what Israël does in west bank and India in Kashmir). Suppression of the second language of Islam which is Farsi and forced adoption of Pashto instead (similar to what China does with Ughurs and their language). Kakar also failed to mention Talibans cooperation with China when it comes to ughurs deportation to China and their complete silence about concentration camps and genocide in Gaza. The truth is that the Taliban are another example of the Saudi type regime in the making. Deeply loyal to their masters and severely oppressive towards their own population.
Kakar mentioned that his father is a member of Hisbi Islami or Islamic Party of Gulbudin Hikmatiyar (don't be fooled by the name). He is known as the butcher of Kabul. Just google him. He waged war on ethnic lines and destroyed Kabul. He made deals with communists afghan government and the Sovjet union. He made a deal with the precious government and USA and now he is making deals with the Taliban. gulbudin Hikmatoyar was the favorite warlord of CIA and ISI. So no wonder that kakar so biased. Apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Masyaallah. Beautiful yet-deeply rigorous insights. If you don't know of this interview, then you don't know the Taliban and Afghanistan. Such a melancholic ending "with peace, hope dua and tawakul". May the Afghans rebuild itself in its own rightful image. It won't be pretty, but it won't be impossible either. Even the great imam Albani has said, and I paraphrase, "correct one's deen and the dunya follows".

Like the fires from the piercing bullets
    The treacherous grenades
And the murderous bombs, of the cruel oppressors
And glad tidings for the Martyrs
    Who are surely 'Alive'
Indeed the everlasting blaze of Hell
    Awaits in anticipation
    Those who oppress Humanity
And where Death is no more
    There is no Escape
    O Ummah of broken hearts!

    Where the rivers flow
And the gentle breeze, cause the trees to rustle
    In the sweetest melody
Under the shade of the glorious Throne
    Will abide forever

And love and help each other
    For the sake of Allah
    O Ummah of broken hearts!
    Keep calm!
For there will be no pain, or loss or sorrow in Paradise
But peace and joy and everlasting love
    And most precious of all
The pleasure of Ar-Rahman, our merciful Lord
    O Allah!
Please have mercy on thy creation
Guide all mankind to the path to Paradise
And save Humanity from the path to Hell
For the sake of they most beloved Prophet ﷺ
Surely if the tyrants knew the Truth
    They would not be oppressors

But the hearts that are blind

Had the potential for a great interview. Watched the entire thing despite the length, unfortunately interviewer does not ask hardball follow up questions when necessary. Most importantly, "what are the instruments of foreign influence and foreign aid your referring to" Ahmed claims vaguely that foreign reigns of power still exist in Afghanistan and haven't been divested from the country, but no specific example was given.
Alot of America blaming, alot of Taliban apologetics, but very little actual explanation for what is going on right now.

Afghani culture and heritage is extremely rich, generous to their guests and hospitable. You are frowned upon in Afghanistan if your home does not have a "guest quarter" which at times is more furnished than the main house itself.
That being said, the ruling "Taliban" who rule in the name of "Shariah" are doing anything but that. Talk to your every day Afghani and they will tell you how sad it is that their sisters and mothers are suddenly forbidden from recieving an education, making an income or the men not growing their beards etc.
This forcefulness or forbidding what Islam actually does not forbid, does the Taliban no favours as it is a common understanding in Islam that our blessed Prophet's beloved wife, Khadijah r.a worked and was a successful businesswoman.
So it seems on the offset that the Taliban is acting not of the Hanafi fiqh but mostly through their cultural norms, even the Deobandis today will not forbid their womenfolk to work/educate themselves nonetheless the 1st generation Deobandis still hold that mindset and it may take a few generations before that thinking is no more.
Allah knows best but it may also be a result of everything that they endured which has led them to become to harsh on their people as if to say the so called "western freedom" has failed, so lets try it our way.

  • @hashcat7140

He has overlooked so many details and cherry picking the events.
Taliban as an organization did not exist until the soviets left. One of the main cause of civil war was Hekmatyar who is a renowned ISI agent, when all the other factions decided on power sharing, Hekmatyar was offered the position of Prime Minister and he refused saying that Afghanistan has to be ruled by a single person(this is on tape). Even Osama bin laden, who was his friend told him to go join your brothers later he changed his statement.
Anyway years of civil war and Hekmatyar didnt achieve anything. Then Taliban entered the scene, initially they had Pakistani soldiers fighting amongst their ranks. The Mujahideen from my village initially allowed Taliban to enter the village and they themselves took refuge in the mountains. Their understanding was that Taliban are Muslim group so no need to fight, a week inside the village and they killed one of the Mullahs for no reason at all. This caused anger amongst the people and the Mujahideen came back and fought against the Taliban. Most of these Mujahideens were local farmers. They say that Taliban were really good in their artillery shooting accuracy, and you need proper training to get to that level not any farmer can just get behind an artillery weapon and shoot like a trained soldier, so it was obvious thay they were fighting Pakistani army, anyway then the Taliban were driven out of my village and the surrounding areas.
Their so called founder "Mullah Omar" died in a military hospital in Karachi Pakistan. So you can see who was incharge.
There is a lot more, this guy himself is Talib so definetly he will defene Taliban. I am familiar with this, even in my immediate family members there are Taliban.
To any Muslim reading this, in the past 20 years Taliban targeted schools, busy market places, Mosques, and other civillian places. Their leadership claimed the responsibilities of all those attacks, its not me who is claiming that. Tell me, which part of Quran tells us to carry out attacks on civillians?
Former chief of ISI of Pakistan(Gen. Hamid Gul) is the actual founder of Taliban, Mullah Omar was his puppet. Some of the countries involed in supporting Taliban throughout the decades are U.S, Pakistan, and Iran. Each for their own geopolitical goals.

      4) Shia Hazaras who are persecuted.
      5) Pamiri Badakshani Ismailis who live nearby Wakhan and Tajikistan.

Anyways to cut short Pashtun Talibans are not educated enough to understand global politics so they thought the whole conflict against Islam and got fooled into believing a global Jihad. Taliban have lived far from civilization for over 20 yrs, most in the governing positions and almost all in the lower levels, have very minimal to zero education and suddenly have been handed a completely broken country to rule. Taliban should have refused to take over governing due to extreme lack of experience, knowledge and wisdom in governing a country!, Taliban also lack the fundamental knowledge of Islam as well, as we can see based on their actions in Afghanistan, in particular dealing with women !!!! Taliban version of Islam is NOT what our prophet PBUH taught us!
