The term "Taliban" originates from the Pashto word for "students." Unlike ISIL, the Taliban's primary goal isn't the establishment of a caliphate or territorial expansion. Instead, they prioritize autonomy, aiming to preserve their way of life without external interference and defending their land staunchly.

Dates are incorrect. The USA under the Trump administration negotiated a peace deal with the Taliban in early 2020 and the nation fell to the Taliban in August of 2021, not 2022.
The Taliban did not have "control" over the entire country by the late 1990s. The Northern Alliance, for example. was still battling the Taliban ( Somewhere between ~10 to 20%, depending on the source and the year in question, of Afghanistan territory was either contested or not in Taliban hands. ). It was Northern Alliance forces that helped make the invasion of 2001 an initial success. The large numbers of foreign ground troops arrived a bit later. Foreign troops, indigenous personel, equipment, tactics etc. became more effective as the years went by helping (along with previous engagements etc.) to greatly reduce foreign casualties in Afghanistan during the last number of years before withdrawing. Sunni branch of Islam is not one of the largest, but by far the largest group (~85-90%, depending on the source). The Shia branch is second. There are different schools, factions etc within each branch. Most Muslims take the Koran literally. It is more a question of interpretation, practice, schools of thought, use or lack of use of supplemental texts (Hadith etc.), history etc that explains the divergent groups and ideas between and within Sunni and Shia. Etc. One needs to remember to verify what is being stated.

No situation, it’s simple, they both knew exactly what was gonna happen.
Iran “attacked”
Pakistani “attacked” back
Both were actually doing tests and thought they would make the world think they’re “attacking” each other.
There's one thing that pretty much everyone gets wrong in these comments and the YT channel itself: the Taliban aren't Islamic extremists, whereas ISIS definitely is.

I know this is supposed to be serious but that animation of Bin Laden playing with the toy airplanes like a child was pretty funny
Evil aways eats itself.
Cause taliban fought US, so US, who created ISIS, used them against taliban
Russia didn’t created taliban ,usa did

The difference in the extent of religious extremism and political goals is what defines their rivalry.
No matter how much in common a person has with his fellow man , the powers that be will always find a way to keep them divided, it’s easy to do in the US cause we all come from such diverse backgrounds but then you go to the Middle East where most people are not only the same race but the same religion and there is still divide , branches of religion and even more division branched off of that. This world will never know peace
Of all the comments on here…… this is the wisest one. Very true , albeit sad.
Powers that be? My guy, its human nature.. human beings were born with flaws to become jealous, envious, etc no matter who they are... even family can betray eachother, nevermind religion or tribe. Just like animals can be territorial and fight their own kind for benefits/choices of mating, territory, etc. Use common sense, not some "powers that be" illusion that floats in space.

Dates are incorrect. The USA under the Trump administration negotiated a peace deal with the Taliban in early 2020 and the nation fell to the Taliban in August of 2021, not 2022.
Sharia means law in Arabic, so you just keep saying (law, law).
There is no such thing as Islamic extremism. There's just Islam.
