    If there is ONE thing you need to understand when you're watching this, then that is what you see at 18:00, THAT'S what you want, no matter the exercise when you're training your chest, that type of contraction is the ONLY thing that is important, even if it means that you'll have to go from pressing 50+ kg dumbbells to 10 kg dumbbells and become the laughing stock at the gym, that's why you'll see the thinnest and flattest dudes in the gym press heavy weights and STILL have chests that are as flat as pancakes because they solely focus on the weight rather than on the movement and the contraction, if you want a thick chest then that is what you need to learn, I know this because I went through it as well, it took around 2-3 months for me to learn to contract my chest properly and now I can contract it no matter the weight and after having wasted quite a few years just pushing weights and having barely any chest muscles I finally have come to understand how it is done thanks to Kai Greene and have gotten quite a decent chest for a 90 kg dude.

      @Ze TheGame Why is it that in these videos the exercises are 4 sets of 15-20 reps? I thought heavy weight is what builds muscle?

    • @naa2083
      @naa2083 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      You need a strength base to be doing these kind of isolation movement too see any benefit.If you can't squat 225+,deadlift 315 and bench 225lbs don't be messing around with pink dumbbells thinking you're kai greene or arnold .Don't forget these bodybuilders are immensely strong but they rather destroy the muscle with higher reps and lighter weights.Muscle size is always equal to strength .(injecting testosterone also helps)

    • @Insaniya.humanity
      @Insaniya.humanity 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sasq forg true. The isolation movements with the pink dumbbells only work when you have been busting your ass with big weights for years before that

    Kai is seriously one of the greatest guys out there. Most humble person to ever be around. Don't know how much of Kai's past anybody knows but this is a man who grew up with no parents sleeping from park bench to park bench not fitting in with any group always moving from foster homes and living in a shit hole his whole life. Skipping school for the gym to finally everything paying off. Everythings finally made sense and came together. God bless you Kai.

    The last comment seems to be like 3 years ago , i wanna thank Mr. Mike Pulcinella for uploading these videos , i have learned a lot from kai , that guy there training WITH him cant relate to kai's words as much as i can , same with rich piana's words , god rest his soul....first time i watched these train with kai videos , i was a 17 year old kid , now im 22 , not a proper bodybuilder , but boy do i have a physique , plus i do it all with light weight, the max i can do dumbbell press is 35 kg each arm , i have never suffered an injury and im not kidding , the way my muscles grew as i trained after listening to kais words each day every day , its phenomenal .....anybody reading this , learn , absorb his words , try this out in the gym , take some light weights and just feel your muscles contract and expand , feel the burn and then let me see you do that with a 15 kg dumbbell with a straight face....

  • @noobhealz402
    @noobhealz402 12 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Kai greene is right about range of motion when going down, but you don't have to go all the way up... the last little bit is engaging the triceps more than the chest... now if you go all the way down and 75% of the way up and back down... there will be 100% tension on your chest throughout the entire lift/set, whereas going all the way up releases tension on your chest and puts more on the triceps... Bodybuilding is about isolation, not RoM.

    This wasn't Kai's most wise and ego-less time. In fact, this may have been his most egoistic times. It often happens for those who "seek enlightenment" or those who want to appear wise that their egos will first surface and be strong. Thus Kai is kind of discouraging to this guy. Kai is being critical in spirit even if you think it's "constructive criticism". However Kai's own ego is there.
    Kai did get his ego dealt with in the end though...Phil Heath. You'll notice that Kai Greene is far more positive now than he was before. Wisdom requires true humility. Kai needed to be humbled to obtain true wisdom. And in the end, Kai got that true wisdom...which is far greater than being a Mr. O

    Sure you can lift the same weight as Kai but do you look like Kai? Thats what matters to bodybuilders 😂 I don't give a shit how much is on a bar as long as I'm hitting the correct muscle and bringing that muscle to failure with a progressive overload weather that be wirh slower tempo, higher reps or slight increases in LBS I'm happy. Also it's super humbling training with someone who is really intune with training and doing stuff correctly. They'll destroy you with some low weight.
