These guys are all so talented. They lean towards country but they can do any genre. They all can take the lead depending on whos voice is best for the song. They are known for their tight harmonies. Tim Foust is one of the best bass singers out there & their beatboxer Adam Rupp can simulate any sound. Keep up your journey through Home Free. You will not find a bad song.
Lol I’ve noticed in every reaction video when dude with the deep voice kicks in and it cute to him they all immediately go into shock haha
In my opinion there are too many who hear the word "country" and bypass Home Free altogether--a really unnecessary negative bias. In this song they are making a distinct southern (bluegrass) presentation--it definitely fits the lyrics of the song. If actors were to do this they'd be given accolades, but far too many people don't give HF the respect or props they deserve for their incomparable expertise (full sound and harmonies=acapella that most people don't recognize as such). HF are far too underappreciated for the wide range of genres they cover.
I am from India and I love American country music.
I for one love all music, my cotton pickin ancestors, blue grass, Spanish, Irish music and other are sample from each other race,it's just that folks will not admit it that we are all connected 😀 especially through music, thank God these days the young people are open minded about music from every culture 🙏

Agreed, End of the Road shows their versatility and how they both respect the original but make it their own.
They are the best. Chance (thin guy with the dark vest) was doing the Jews Harp or mouth harp sound. There are videos on YT called Adam Rupp drum solo (beatboxer). ON their live shows, the rest of the guys go off stage and leave him alone to do about 8 mins or so of him playing with his sounds. Check it out. Worth the watch.
And for unbelievable a cappella sound effects, try Pentatonix cover of Bohemian Rhapsody where they do the lead guitar riff; you would think you are actually listening to “Queen’s” Brian May’s guitar, and not a persons voice.

The incredible thing about HF is that all four singers are good enough to be frontmen, and beatboxer Adam Rupp is otherworldly. The group formed in 2000, and Rupp is the last original member. Rob Lundquist (second soloist) joined up in 2008, about the time that HF went full-time. Tim Foust (third soloist) committed to the group in 2012, with Austin Brown (first soloist) right behind him. Adam "Chance" was invited into the group in 2016. All four can sing below C2, which makes them basses. All four can sing above C5, which makes them tenors.
Adam Rupp also has a beautiful tenor voice.

This song goes way back before the movie. It is said to be first written down about 1913 by Dick Burnett. He and the Junebugs recorded it in 1927. It was again recorded in the ‘50’s by The Stanley Brothers. Bob Dylan recorded it in the ‘60’s. It was recorded by many others before being used in the movie, “O,Brother Where Art Thou”. Home Free has the best version, in my opinion.

Brothers in Arms is the song of a dying Soldier. Many "React" people just don't get that and have a manic grin on their faces throughout the song. It's a song that hits us Veterans really hard.

That twangy sound at the beginning and end is called a juice harp, it fits in your pocket, and I've had one for those for years. Its not complicated to play one, but to replicate that sound vocally is amazing. For a funny take by them, check out the Butts Melody. Its hilarious.

The song is very old and is a traditional American folk song first published by Dick Burnett, a partially blind fiddler from Kentucky. The song was originally titled "Farewell Song" in a songbook by Burnett dated to around 1913. What is amazing about this version by Home Free | Man of Constant Sorrow is that it is acapella and the musical sounds of the drums, Jew's harp, mouth harp (harmonica) and beat box are all done by two singers in the band. Watch for them.
The song was from around 1900 and published in 1913. So it is actually pre-bluegrass and pre-country music. Sort of an ancestor of both.

That harmonica sound is really Adam the beatboxer, I've seen them do this in concert and he has no harmonica and it sounds just as good as the video.

I've watched many reaction videos on this performance and the women reacting to the deep voice is priceless in every video. Even professional voice coaches and a like melt.
Another reactor, a vocal coach, pointed out that when Tim comes out of his bass solo, and they go into the harmony slide, Tim actually drops even lower. Now when I hear it, it blows me away.

Tim Foust, the bass, has a 5 octave range so he can sing super low and sing as a tenor. Chance (also in the back) was doing the mouth harp. Austin, lead here, can also do the harmonica. It had already been in existence for no telling how long when it was first recorded in 1913.
Ralph Stanley & the Stanley Brothers made it famous (sort of famous) in 1950.
That bass is Tim Foust. He has a great range. There are some compilations of him going so low that it sounds like he's about to bust the subwoofer.
Tim Faust(the bass man) actually has a range of 5 octaves, is stunning how he can sing.

Have you checked out any of Austin's or Tim's solo work? Austin does an unbelievable version of "Bring Him Home" and Tim's solo doo wop album where he lays down all the tracks himself. The one that really hsowcases his range is "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow/Stay"
