Hi olivia great workout , full body sessions with medium weights are my favourites, somehow i think they are women’s best friend 😂 i was just wondering if these no repeats format are as effective as the repeat ones? I have been reading about how repetitive rounds are essential for muscle gain, also your Mat is perfection, the size and colors , i can’t wait to grab mine.❤❤
Hi, very good question. It all depends on what you want to achieve in your workouts. If your ultimate goal is muscle mass gain then yes I would encourage repeat, isolated exercises.
However METCON workouts are more about improving aerobic performance and burning fat, so no repeats work just as well.
Saying that you will often see me incorporating the same muscle groups for a number of exercises consecutively despite it being a no repeat workout. Ultimately this will lead to muscle fatigue and with the right weight rep failure. Hope this helps x
