Flare cut engraving is one of the most exciting and beautiful techniques to cut. For this project I chose to engrave a traditional scrollwork motif with some intertwining and overlapping elements. Please leave any comments or questions you have about this beautiful engraving technique.

I've just tried several types of 304 stainless steel and what do you think is the hardness code for the stainless steel usually used for carving, for example for necklace pendants or knife handles.
