This guy also designed the AirGraver tool he is using. One of a kind! Changed the industry.

Steve Lindsay actually bettered the state of the art of hand engraving. .. the palm control is worth every penny; particularly one made by Steve... but his real contribution to the trade, world wide, was as an inspirational example.... He is an Artist's Artist... a Craftsman's Craftsman... and is one of the few examples i have seen in life who, although being magnanimous and humble enough to potentially not appreciate any excessive honor... really should have been Honored more in the worlds eyes.
Thank you Steve... for all you did, over the years... you broadened my skill and love of the trade... as you did for many... we all saw how you brought many master and student craftsmen from around the world together.. and we watched as they matured together in love of their trade. Some of them now, very genuinely may be said to be on par with the best of any examples we have in history.
    It was a beautiful thing.

as much as i like the cursive, watching you engrave the block letters was really interesting. its cool how clean the lines all turn out!

Hey Steve, thank you very much for this demonstration! Very nice work. what microscope and objective you use? One of those with fix magnifying step lenses? It’s so hard to keep focus with continuous zoom on affordable ones. Thank you for your kindness.

That's some exquisite work! 👌 So impressed. Iv been Makin jewlery for about two years now and started my Engraving experience recently, still using push gravers till I get set up properly but I'm really enjoying it.! I think I heard someone mention Lindsay gravers an tools so I guess I came to the right place? Lol

Are you tilting your graver so that it cuts on the side, or are you simply changing the angle of your wrist/hand piece to cause the graver to cut a deeper cut? Thanks!

I was tryin to figure that out too.. I think he just changes the pressure so it cuts deeper on the thicker lettering. But u could be right and he tilts it to one side either. I need to find out haha

You have a mechanical device attached to your engraving tool which helps with the depth and width of cut, I have a 270 year old clock which was engraved with immaculate precision from ultra narrow to fairly wide, now that was real skill.
