I was a fan of Galneryus just after they changed the lead vocalist already, and when I heard that he not on sang the OP, but also the ED with his band, I was so happy that I was floating in an indescribable bliss.
Hunter x Hunter is one of few anime that almost always plays the ED before the episode ends, so that the cliffhanger hits, it transitions to the credits, and the lyrics start. This emotional impact is what makes all the ending so much more memorable. Especially ending 2, which plays during some of the most hype, engageing episodes of the series.

I'm so glad you liked the second opening, I blast that shit in my car all the time. It goes so unbelievably hard, it's like motivating. Great video as usual man I've been loving your content since I found your channel like a month or two back
Also I agree with the other comments, you gotta check out some of the Hunter X Hunter soundtrack, some of it is really good. "Emperor Time", "Legend of the Martial Artist", "Kingdom of Predators", and "Hegemony of the Food Chain" are all great picks and it'd be nice to hear you react and breakdown any of those!
Ending 2 has the same vocalist as the Hxh opening which you reacted to in the multiple anime openings. It was the one with the vibratos in the voice and the factory screech sound in the beginning.
I really respect hearing your honest opinion for each song even when you don’t like it too much. So important not to mindlessly “please” the viewers. Respect!
Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas (from ED1) is one of my favorite bands. It mixed together a lot of things that I usually didn't like in music at time I found them (vocoder, electronic, screaming) and made me love it. That said, I think Just Awake (this song) is one of their tamest of the more famous ones. Among my favorites are: Thunderclap, Virtue and Vice, Crossover, Let me Hear, The Gong of Knockout, Short but Seems Long Time of Our Life.
Really love Hyori Ittai, the ed during the chimera ant arc. It has so much nostalgia value for me and when the manga came back that's the song that started playing in my head.
Hunter hunter ed 2 accompanied by the ending narration leaves you hanging for more. I especially love anime openings, themes and endings that contribute to the show's environment rather than bops which are individually good but have no real effect on the show. Check out songs from : Samurai Champloo, Death Note (especially character themes of L and Light), Elfen Lied, Serial Experiments Lain, Mushishi, Monster, Paranoia Agent and Welcome to the NHK. Most of these shows are darker in nature and appeals to a mature audience showcasing the wide variety of instrumentals used in anime music.
Hunting for your dream is just perfect, makes you want to run through a brick wall Hyori Ittai at first "oh nice song" ~~~ after watching the whole arc: it just hits different. It becomes one of the most beautiful and meaningful songs ever
true, for hyroi Ittai its a complementery to the arc itself, hard for an outsider to connect without experiencing the transitionings each episode ending between last scene and the song.
I don't know why but everytime I hear 'Reason' from greed island arc, i feel like crying, smiling, laughing, screeching, punching someone and jumping off a cliff... it's my favorite ending🥹
I remember really listening to Just Awake in full for the first time while reading the English translation lyrics and actually crying. That song is still my fave out of all the HXH 2011 songs and despite all the screaming, I am **very** soft for that song. It has a very special place in my heart.
Still waiting for the day you react to Galneryus, the band that did ending 2. The vocalist also sang the intro to HxH, which I recall you thoroughly enjoyed in the multi-anime opening. They're a power metal band, and their lives are pretty incredible. Crossing my fingers for that day to come 🤞

There's alot of good compilations like "hxh top 10 saddest ost" and "hxh most beautiful soundtrack" with best soundtracks like "In the Palace" or "Kingdom of Predators" and such. Reaction for that kind of big compilation would be priceless, it's where HxH really shines and the music in these is really different from ED or OP songs yet almost nobody reacted to it. You will love it!
@46:50 it's great that you pointed out the harmony of the Yuzu duo during this song - "Hyori itai" basically means something like "Two peas in a pod" and that idea really fits thematically with the arc of HxH that this song is from!
ed 2 used to be my fav, and I still love it very, very much then chimera ant happened (ed 5/6) and I am destroyed whenever I hear that song (that guitar in the opening literally makes me cry)
Its really amusing to see the reaction of a person who is literate in music/instruments, you'll get a totally different words from them. More power to your channel.
Hunter X Hunter is one of those anime I wholeheartedly endorse Tony to watch. It has amazing writing and though it has dragging moments, the good parts make up for those and then some. 👾🐜
Ah, feels sooo good watching others reaction to FEAR AND LOATHING IN LAS VEGAS. They is my fav band since I heard HXH ending1... Thanks for Reacting to this "just awake" Song, I appreciate that... TBH I really love their autotune(actually vocoder), that's what make the band hits different in my heart. And FYI, the screamer of his band actually the pianist. And this band also known for their hard and contrast genre mashup. ❤
My order: 1.) Ending 5 & 6 (also love the solo piano version of this, it gives an entirely different vibe) 2.) Ending 2 (closer to my usual preferences in music, I'm a rock & punk guy) 3.) Ending 1 4.) Ending 3 5.) Ending 4 ( I actually forgot it was there since all of the others are so much more iconic)
i was waiting this video for long long long time .. i was asked for "hunting for your dream" in prev video .. this is my favorite ending of all time thanks for make that real Tony , Big love bro .
I was obsessed with "Hunting for your dream" for a month or so a few years back when i remembered it existed, absolutely love it, probably my favorite outro ever. I remember being super bummed out when they changed the outro in the anime back when it first aired, just killed the hype for the next episode.
My order would be 5-2-3-1-4. l guess I can't blame you for not rating 5 as high since you only rate the music alone, but knowing the context of the show impacts the experience greatly, and ending 5 hits so well after one of the heaviest arcs in the show, it's a real tear-jerker and I highly recommend you try this show sometimes. It is technically a teen's show but it's so intelligently written that it's enjoyed better at older ages.
Hunting For You Dream is how my whole journey with J-music started back in 2014. Bless Galneryus. I've been watching anime since 2008 but no OP/ED before had made me actualy look up the artist.
The beard looks good man and the constant disclaimer for the viewers who don’t like rewinding is also just really cool, now 100k subs is a lot but man you are one of the most underrated TH-camrs I’ve ever seen, your takes on the music are always accurate and genuine, open minded enough to listen to anime tracks and game OST’S like give this man the recognition
I love Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas. They treat the voice as just an instrument. You'd love their other works just for the amount of skill they have with instruments - Thunderclap is my recommendation either on your own time or a reaction. Such a jam.
i like how every ending holds so much memory, because after every extreme episode you just sit there setting it sink in with the perfect ED playing in the background ...
home stretch to 100k! you absolutely deserve it, your reactions and analyses are always super educational and entertaining to people like me with minimal musical knowledge
you NEED to watch the show. not only is it incredible and full of interesting characters and story elements, but the music makes it SO much better in my opinion. They nailed it on the OST. i highly recommend the show to everyone it’s definitely one of if not the best shounen anime of all time
You definitely should watch it. It's an amazing show and the music goes very well with it. At the beginning, it's adventure and finding yourself basically which is why the music is so upbeat, in your face, and fast paced. Towards the third opening, it's a little more being in awe, and having fun. Towards the end, without spoiling anything, it's like watching a loved one slowly go through a tragedy and being unable to do anything followed by finding closure and resolution.
Really glad you liked Hyori Ittai! I like the song a lot, but due to its place in the series and the emotions surrounding it, it’s easily my favorite HxH ending. I really appreciate your take on it and how you can appreciate the different subtleties in the track, even though it’s not quite the characteristics you enjoy most in a song (or however you called it, you said it much better than me lol)
Even though music isn't my main hobby, I like watching you because it feels like I'm back in school listening to the only music lesson we have in a week. I liked listening to my teachers because I didn't know much about music and it was interesting for me. I still don't know much about it but I am a good listener and can remember tunes and lyrics most of the time. It's fun to hear how you break it down and teach us what's going on. 🤗
you look so interested while talking about the second ending and i love it, that honestly is one of the best songs ive heard from an anime, ops included.
This show was just way too good, just hearing the music brings back the nostalgia of experiencing it. Of course there are other great shows out there but this one takes the top for me.
You’re the only reaction channel i watch oftenly, because you’re the only one who actually adds onto the material and changes the audience’s prespective about the material
Hyori ittai feels energetic at just the right moments, and I really need that after watching an episode from that season, the chimera ant arc left me emotionally drained

The second ending is just On another level.
I also love Chase the Light, the first half is amazing
Every ending fits the show perfectly, every change has a meaning

@@Ludrovisco Iconic ending, gives me shivers
Anytime the drums came in at the end of York Shin episodes it really energized me and made me go "goddamn I have to watch the next episode RIGHT NOW"
@@Ludrovisco I literally hear this even when it isn't there.
Hunting for your dream is just perfect, makes you want to run through a brick wall
Hyori Ittai at first "oh nice song" ~~~ after watching the whole arc: it just hits different.
ED 2 introducing the villains in the most coldest way
I remember really listening to Just Awake in full for the first time while reading the English translation lyrics and actually crying.
Crossing my fingers for that day to come 🤞
Same, they're one of my favorite bands, though I don't really like their newer songs only the 4-6 year old ones
I've gotta third this. Galneryus is awesome. Really good stuff out there.
Could you tell me in which video did he react to the hxh op?
@@babusint6367 I think it was his first Multi Anime Opening video. I just checked his channel, but I couldn't find it. He may of had to remove it due to copyright.
Galneryus the goats fr, I really want him to get into them, maybe starting at the 14 minute Angel of Salvation
You will love it!
kingdom of predetors is a masterpiece of OST, also Zydloks theme
@46:50 it's great that you pointed out the harmony of the Yuzu duo during this song - "Hyori itai" basically means something like "Two peas in a pod" and that idea really fits thematically with the arc of HxH that this song is from!
Hunting for your Dream is still one of my favorite songs ever
Ending 2 is THE GOAT. Glad to see a professional analysis take on the OST.
"Hyori ittai" will always be in my heart
Hunting for your Deam really is an anthem. Truly iconic.
43:16 is where the last ED start while the cliffhanger is hyping up.. It always hit the feels I started crying just by listening the song
Bro, honestly, nothing on this entire world can give me chills like hyori ittai does. Hxh is such a masterpiece on every aspect.
'Hunting for your dream' has no right to slap that hard
Im so excited now cuz when I first click into this premiere is exactly the start of Hyorii Ittaiiiii OMG my love😭
ed 2 used to be my fav, and I still love it very, very much
then chimera ant happened (ed 5/6) and I am destroyed whenever I hear that song (that guitar in the opening literally makes me cry)
42:55 Bro this sound got me chills
The OST in the Phantom Troupe Arc is just addictive and deeply artistical and dark.
Its really amusing to see the reaction of a person who is literate in music/instruments, you'll get a totally different words from them. More power to your channel.
That last outro always hits different.
Chimera ant arc is peak 🔥
There's another version of Hunting for Your Dream that's so worth checking out! The guitar solo parts in the other version is out of this world
Ending 2 and 5 are my all time favourites 🔥
12:26 Kurapika is now drowning in an indescribable emptiness
Culture 🗣️
Yeah 5/6 is by far the best one in my opinion. There's so much emotion and it's just so perfect
Hunter X Hunter is one of those anime I wholeheartedly endorse Tony to watch. It has amazing writing and though it has dragging moments, the good parts make up for those and then some. 👾🐜
Ohh man this anime has amazing music. He is going to love hunting for your dream and Hyori Itta for sure! My top two favorites.
Ending 1, Awake by Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is my favorite ending of any ending song in anime. SO GOOD!
My order:
1.) Ending 5 & 6 (also love the solo piano version of this, it gives an entirely different vibe)
2.) Ending 2 (closer to my usual preferences in music, I'm a rock & punk guy)
3.) Ending 1
4.) Ending 3
5.) Ending 4 ( I actually forgot it was there since all of the others are so much more iconic)
i was waiting this video for long long long time ..
i was asked for "hunting for your dream" in prev video ..
this is my favorite ending of all time
thanks for make that real Tony , Big love bro .
I was obsessed with "Hunting for your dream" for a month or so a few years back when i remembered it existed, absolutely love it, probably my favorite outro ever. I remember being super bummed out when they changed the outro in the anime back when it first aired, just killed the hype for the next episode.
Galneryus is one of the best power/prog metal bands in japan and they have a world class guitarist "syu", you should check out more of this band!🤘🏻
hope he reacts to there albums full on one day, angel of salvation most def an amazing start
Oh wow my order would be the same
Same order as mine, i get chills every time i hear hyori ittai
Yeah but 6 > 5
Same order as mine!
@@MarkelESP technically 6 and 5 are the same song lol
Galneryus as a whole is simply on another level, period.
Just notice how he is smiling during Hunting for your Dream. That tells all you need to know.
YES! So glad to see this, thanks Tony! Love to see more Galneryus in the future :)
GALY 🐐💯
Hunting For You Dream is how my whole journey with J-music started back in 2014. Bless Galneryus. I've been watching anime since 2008 but no OP/ED before had made me actualy look up the artist.
ED 5/6 is my favourite anime song. I think there is emotional connection to the show but the song is just so good on its own too.
Such a jam.
My fav order is: 5, 2, 3, 4, 1. Hyori Ittai really grows on you when you're watching the show
Idk about 4 and 1, but OPs 3&5 have really cool and fitting lyrics, especially hyori ittai since it fits multiple characters and their dynamics
I read HxH endings, Hyory Ittai came to mind, and I had to click. If there is a song that knows how to move one's feelings, it surely is that one.
i like how every ending holds so much memory, because after every extreme episode you just sit there setting it sink in with the perfect ED playing in the background ...
home stretch to 100k! you absolutely deserve it, your reactions and analyses are always super educational and entertaining to people like me with minimal musical knowledge
Believe me sir, you hear song and you watch (before, while, after) compared to hear song without you watch have a very different feeling.
Hearing the 5th ending and seeing the little rose 🌹 always bring tears to my eyes
Hunting For Your Dream has been my ringtone since I first heard it. It's hard to find a song as good as it.
Number 3 is the heart of the HxH in my opinion. It gives a lot of emotions from the show.
yeahh my all time favorite song 💚
Fr
Fr
It's not the most emotional, but the nostalgia that emanates from the song works wonders to encapsulate HxH.
It is,,,, 😢
you NEED to watch the show. not only is it incredible and full of interesting characters and story elements, but the music makes it SO much better in my opinion.
Love fear and loathing in Las Vegas. This was my intro to them.
Fun fact, screamer is the pianist 🤘
The opening and ending choice in HxH couldn't be better, it follows the arcs so much and they fits so well
Even though music isn't my main hobby, I like watching you because it feels like I'm back in school listening to the only music lesson we have in a week.
Of course there are other great shows out there but this one takes the top for me.
the moment when "Hunting for your Dreams" and the narrator kick in - that's peak anime. Reminds me a lot of Saber Rider back in the days.
"Fun and upbeat " *Hittori Hittai is the ED for the sadest arc of the whole anime*
You’re the only reaction channel i watch oftenly, because you’re the only one who actually adds onto the material and changes the audience’s prespective about the material
Hyori ittai feels energetic at just the right moments, and I really need that after watching an episode from that season, the chimera ant arc left me emotionally drained
that thumbnail of killua holding alluka T_T now I have to rewatch the series again
I love how OP1 background is just *SCHWING*
