The Mr Rime shiny is designed to look like old films since it’s based on Charlie Chaplin, I agree on galarian Mr Mime but I believe that Mr Rime’s shiny doesn’t deserve hate. Then again that’s just my opinion.
I don't mean to kill the joke at all but... It's also meant to represent the color of the logos more, which I know they already were doing, but I think I bloody great.

Blue is the most popular fav color in the world, and red is sorta it’s opposite. Sword and Shield is the 4th time they’ve used this duality. 1. Red/Blue 3. Ruby/Sapphire 6. XY( Similar shades to ruby/sapphire) 8. Cyan/Magenta I feel like they know they’re reusing blue and red and decided to make shield be pink. Zamazenta has no pink and I feel the box art for it seems off. Having it’s regular color be pink might mess with market sales because most young boys/men prefer blue over pink/red.
In my opinion, I think that the fossils look quite cool! The decayed look and grey feel seem like it was fossilized again! But I do see why you don’t quite like it!
i wish skwovents shiny was more red. theres an interesting story about how gray squirrels are an invasive species in britain, and they made the beautiful red squirrel that the region is famous for much more rare. so, it would actually make a lot of sense for the rare and supposedly beautiful shiny to resemble the rare and beautiful red squirrel.
just something for when you do something else like this, it is best to also put the regular colour on screen, then it's clearer to see the colour difference.

Finally getting to watching this video, I had a realization about Grapploct's shiny. It's red and white, and the pokemon is known for binding its opponents in its tentacles. It's literally a living pokeball.

The reason that Mr.Mime and Mr.Rime's shinies look like that is because Mr.Rime is based off of Charlie Chaplin, a star during the silent film era. Hence why their shinies are in a more colorless state. I honestly find it amazing they decided to do this, a nod to the past.

My favorite colour is orange with my second being grey. I love barascuta and Cinderace's shinies. I also love the shinies that just turn grey like the fossils. love it!

Grimsnarl was my first Gmax Shiny and I named it Sephiroth after the antagonist from FF7 as he is my favorite villain and I feel it somewhat feels like him for his typing as his fairy typing is a comparison to Sephiroth’s angelic form and also his nature before his fall from grace and his dark typing noding to Sephiroth’s mental breakdown and fall from grace into becoming a lethal warrior, cunning and badass like Grimsnarl. I also caught it in a premier ball.
Aw, I liked the fossil shinies........ every other shiny that has grey in it this gen looks weird and even kinda gross, but with the fossils I feel like it really works. And Frosmoth's shiny looks much better in battle or in a camp than in the pokedex/on the summary screen/on serebii. You can't see the wing transparency with a background in the way, and if you have a shiny and normal Frosmoth in a camp together, the different is much more stark.
I like G. Mr. Mime and Mr. Ryme's shinies tbh. They were clearly *going* for the sepia-like tone, and it works pretty well imo, especially for mons based on tap dancers.
I really like shiny dreadnaw because for some reason I love how its colors look like an action figure toy, it looks like something a kid would find super tough and for some reason I feel very nostalgic towards it
I think giving the Applin evolutions colors based on apples is an awesome idea, but green and yellow, red and yellow would be even greater, since you use either a Sweet or Tart apple.
Mikey's Vids are the best because you can literally just let them all play and do some shiny hunting or play games and idk i've done it for so long now that he's like a comforting presence hahaha
I think i know why zacian/zamazentas shinies are like that. “The” When pronounced with an accent,it sounds like “Za” so, when you say “Za” and “cian”, it creates the pokemon. And same goes for Zamazenta with “magenta” and thats why zacians shiny is cian ,and zamazentas shiny is magenta.

This was a nice video, I liked seeing the shinys and hearing your thoughts on them. But if you ever do a video like this in the future may I suggest adding the normal Pokémon with their shiny versions, just so I can see them side by side and compare them with you.
I've played Pokémon since Gary briefly ruled the elite four and have only ever found one shiny Lotad in Emerald - and didn't even know what shinies were at the time. My luck is my own enemy.

This might just be me but I’m pretty sure that shiny Obstagoon is meant to be a reference to David Bowie and the colour scheme of Ziggy Stardust. Normal Obstagoon is obviously meant to resemble Gene Simmons from Kiss and it makes sense that the shiny references a British musician. If it wasn’t on purpose it’s a great coincidence.
I like the fossil pokemon cause I know the reason behind the color. They all are a reference to the "bone wars" paleontologist had back in the old days, usually mixing up skeletons and adding parts to fossils that did not belong. the black and white look to the shinies is suppose to represent those older days, like a black and white tv or old film.
If I’m gonna be honest some of the slight change Pokémon make them a really cool added bonus because if you think about it only slight changes can make an original really bland single color Pokémon into multicolored even if it is just changing one color that is different from the rest from the back view it looks a lot better

Honestly I really love the massive change and similarity with the fossils.
They all have similar colours, and the dull colours look kinda ‘fresh’
It makes them more fossil like without adding the rock type
I felt like a lot of these pokemon had dull shinies but the ones that did change looked amazing

This was a nice video, I liked seeing the shinys and hearing your thoughts on them. But if you ever do a video like this in the future may I suggest adding the normal Pokémon with their shiny versions, just so I can see them side by side and compare them with you.
Today I've learned two things, Michael has bad tastes, and gen 8 only has SLIGHTLY better tastes

I've played Pokémon since Gary briefly ruled the elite four and have only ever found one shiny Lotad in Emerald - and didn't even know what shinies were at the time.

8:25 That's actually not shiny gigantamax meowth, however it's actual shiny isn't much better, it's basically what shiny meowth is where it gets red highlights, and with the aura on gmax mons, it makes it not very noticeable, but just thought I'd point that out.

Same opinions with Gossifler and Grapploct. I love how much we are alike in Pokemon opinions, from shiny to normal. I used a Grapploct and if not for the fact that Boltund is literally my dog, Grapploct would be my favorite gen 8 Pokemon
I am so mad at me, I found shiny Gossifleur in my story and had it until it on my team until it evolved into a much worse shiny.

This might just be me but I’m pretty sure that shiny Obstagoon is meant to be a reference to David Bowie and the colour scheme of Ziggy Stardust. Normal Obstagoon is obviously meant to resemble Gene Simmons from Kiss and it makes sense that the shiny references a British musician. If it wasn’t on purpose it’s a great coincidence.
I like the fossil pokemon cause I know the reason behind the color. They all are a reference to the "bone wars" paleontologist had back in the old days, usually mixing up skeletons and adding parts to fossils that did not belong. the black and white look to the shinies is suppose to represent those older days, like a black and white tv or old film.

Actually, the Pokédex points out that they're clumps of toxins that congeal into toy-like forms. For...some reason. But they do make it look stylish!

I’m in love with the galarion zigzagoon shinies, the maroonish pink and blue eyes just pop so well.
If I’m gonna be honest some of the slight change Pokémon make them a really cool added bonus because if you think about it only slight changes can make an original really bland single color Pokémon into multicolored even if it is just changing one color that is different from the rest from the back view it looks a lot better
