Just got my 2014 jeep cheroke latitude 3.2v6 but front wheel drive.. still clean as and happy with my new ride.. cant wait to throw on a couple mods to make her mine!
Could you also do a video on the Cherokee TrailHawk with the Technology Group? The ambient lighting varies by trim/options. Thanks for these night time videos, it's a unique viewpoint that is super helpful!
+reginaalear yeah you really can see the metallic flake in the paint. Its black but has silver and glitter flake inside. Brilliant black or that new red that's available on the overland is beautiful
Mine's better ... or not .... I got Eco-Green with black trim package ... black wheel rims are 1000% better than other colors ... got 'black' grill also - no chrome anywhere. Bad little dude. Next set of tires will be a little bit badder-looking too. Like this one: pictures.topspeed.com/IMG/crop/201509/2015-frankfurt-rush-jeep-_800x0w.jpg BTW: I am getting 25 mpg average in REAL mountains of New Mexico, and that is over 56,000 miles now. So good choice made thee.
I would like to see a very detailed video of what light switch does what, and how that is indicated on the cluster panel. Not described very well in manual or jeep videos.
Can you do a video, or help me find research on how to adjust the up/down and side/side projection of the headlights? I got the car a few weeks ago, and had the dealership adjust the lights twice, and each time they either made it so they're blinding people, or pointed them down to the ground so I can only see 10 feet in front of my jeep. I figured I'd rather do it myself than go in for a third time to get them adjusted.
i just buy a cherokee north and i cant figure out how to switch the light from white to blue,my left dimer look like its not working i cant increase the light..
Mike you got to agree, this lighting is low grade when you compare to the Grand Jeep Cherokee, which is quite sad, it even looks they did it purposely I don't know why, it's like they wanted to be different with this one and didn't care
+Ashley Miller, if there is a standard halogen bulb base in there then for sure there will be a replacement LED alternative. One has to be aware that some of the aftermarket LEDs being let out into the market are not properly focused and alterations are sometimes necessary to avoid blinding oncoming motorists. Always be aware of where the beams are being cast.... stand out front and see for yourself if you've got the right 'level' to the beam... ie: never going above the horizon out from the centre of the bulb.
TRICK-OR TREAT They are as bright as any other Halogen Projector system that I've seen. HID or LED Projector lights will be brighter but Halogen is still good. More info on Headlight technology: th-cam.com/video/owGNrkFxfQ0/w-d-xo.html
+Robert Mcwilliam its mainly seen at night. its the lights on your drivers door and passenger. if they are all the way up and you look on your door panel like the lil cubby spot where you drop papers items etc. theres a tiny light there
i got a 2016 TH and i just had LED lights put in but i could swear the hi beams was the one under the daytime running lights/cat like looking lights but when i turn on my hi beam my headlights just brighter , is it the LED lights or what
Them aint cat's eyes - they be Hawk's Eyes !!!! C'mon man. The bright LED running lights are VERY bright in daytime, but when you turn on night-time lights, they dim a little. The Chorekee's lights are the coolest ones on the planet still, even now in 2016. Some of the others in blue are sweet, but nuttin beats the Hawk-Eyes or Eagle-Eyes (bird of prey) design. I am able to program the light action as well ... running lights on or off, etc. Orange Marker Lights? No. Directionals !
I have a 2015 jeep Cherokee latitude. Anyone know what size the day time running lights are? I looked in the 750+ page manual and it says take it to a dealer. My left side burned out the other day and I unplugged the right side so it didn't look bad. Id like to replace the light if I can do so without going to the dealer. Thanks in advance. BTW I seen where you have to remove the air cleaner to be able to pull the light out of the left side is this true? I was able to get my hand in to unplug it but I couldn't turn the bulb left or right. I seen where you can just pull it straight out. Is this true?
Mike: You had plenty of opportunity to show us the beam pattern out front. All you had to do was lift the camera up over the steering wheel. Why didn't you? From what I did see ever-so-briefly, it seemed to throw down a light that's bright enough. Thanks. Maybe next time?
soloflight1975 Looks like the bastard love child of a Hyundai and an Aztek, or like it was designed by ten separate committees that weren't allowed to talk to each other.
Go get one and put it in sport mode - drives extreme mountain switchbacks like a Porsche. I get 25 mpg between Highway and City, v6, and I can go most places a Rubicon Jeep Wrangler does. It goes into 9th gear at 85 mph. The headlights look like pissed off Hawk-Eyes or Eagle-Eyes (bird of prey) - I never once thought they were cat's eyes. The running lights are very bright during the day and dim about 50% when you turn on the headlights. The Trailhawk version has the extra slant in front to clear off-road obstacles on approach, and is fully loaded with skid plates from front to back. There is Rock mode, Snow mode, and Sand and Mud mode - I climbed a goat trail at 9400 feet that needed Rock mode too - awesome. And there is a low-range 4WD control that allows you to set speed in (9) 1-kmh increments - you don't need to operate the brake or gas pedals - automatically controls that selected speed up or down hill. Get the F off road and you will see what it does.
Stay away from the Jeep Cherokee 2015 my jeep has less than 3 thousand miles; they are putting a new transmission in. don’t waste your money recalling the transmission
Had mine for 56,000 miles now - had a software upgrade but no problems that caused loss of availability - they did the upgrade in time of oil change. Some technicians are better than others - this is a more complex transmission than usual.
Thank you for doing these videos!! I really love to see the interiors of cars at night. I wish more people would do this.
yea I'm getting this in a few months. glad you made this because I've been really curious
Do you recommend buying this car?

I got one 2 days ago such a cool car. love it very much
Ana have you had any transmission issues
Mine operates a little odd but no problems after 56,000 miles now. There are tricks to learn to smooth it out.
Mean looking Jeep :)

I would love to... I haven't seen a Trailhawk in person yet.
MikesCarInfo Great, I look forward to it!
MikesCarInfo They've been making them for over a YEAR!!
Are there paddles on the underside of the steering wheel? And if so, what do they control in the 2014 Cherokee?
the night video on the 2015 challenger was great., but you had the dome light on so the interior was not dark
wada hooda
I love this car, get the v6. I have it in dark grey. I would stay away from white or black.
Why? My brilliant black looks awesome
+chris Hello I just purchased one in Black. It does look amazing especially when it's clean.
+reginaalear yeah you really can see the metallic flake in the paint. Its black but has silver and glitter flake inside. Brilliant black or that new red that's available on the overland is beautiful

I'm buying a latitude in the next few weeks. is there a way to put led in the headlights?

I HEARD THE HEADLIGHTS WERE'NT VERY BRIGHT IS THAT TRUE ?

Mine suck 2016
The only lights you left out were the brake lights and the reverse lights.
+Jeffrey Alford Thanks I figured out a way to do that on my newer night videos.
Thanks for watching and your feedback :)
i just got a cherokee and I cant find what the ambient light dimmer do , I played with it and it does not seem to do nothing
+Robert Mcwilliam its mainly seen at night. its the lights on your drivers door and passenger. if they are all the way up and you look on your door panel like the lil cubby spot where you drop papers items etc. theres a tiny light there
Dude, the ambient light dimmer - dims the ambient lights :) You cant tell unless you are in garage or at night.
i got a 2016 TH and i just had LED lights put in but i could swear the hi beams was the one under the daytime running lights/cat like looking lights but when i turn on my hi beam my headlights just brighter , is it the LED lights or what
Both the low and high beams shine through the projector lens. In addition to getting brighter the lens should also refocus to a higher position.

The bulb is the same for hi/low the projector housing opens a shutter so there isn't a cut off

Front drivers liw/high beam out after 2 years im thinking shouldnt have happened what is the bulb i replace it with?

+Bill Hamilton Absolutely! I started doing that in recent night videos... thank you for watching!
New key I lost my key and I had to get a new one and it's not programed
Go to a dealership to have a key programed.
Looks similar to the pontiac aztek
