- Today I am showing you how to install headlights and fog lights in your 2014-2020 jeep Cherokee. I have no clue why they mad it this hard but jeep is getting crazy with this. You almost have to take the tire off. You do have to go through the front wheel well to access the lights. I will go over a step by step installing of both the headlights and fog lights for the jeep Cherokee.
Non HID Headlights Only:
Headlight bulb size: 9012
Fog Light Bulb size: 2504
Fog Lights install: 06:34

I am by no means a car person, but watching this video allowed me to replace my headlights in under 30 mins! Thanks so much !
I really appreciate not having to watch a 5 minute intro and thanks for including the timestamp for fog lights. I'll be checking out your other videos!
Happy to help
Had a low beam failure on passenger side for my 2015 Jeep Cherokee Latitude. Same 3 screws give access to the inside of the fender well, but there is a big plastic tube (air duct of some kind maybe) that blocks quite a bit of access so had to do it blind. Wasn't a big deal though. Once cover was off, used my fingers to remove the plastic clip for the wire. The headlight bulb is seated with the power connecter facing the 1 o'clock position and unlocks at the 12 o'clock position. Putting the new one in is simply reverse... insert with the plug end facing up ( 12 o'clock) and twist clockwise to 1 o'clock and the rest is simple.
Thank you bro. Thank you! Because of how well you taught this video, I, Ashley, who NEVER WORKED ON MY CAR BEFORE was able to change both my burnt out low beam and fog light all in one. Took me 3 hours and 4 trips to the auto part store because, ya know, I was definitely learning 😂 and it was during today's Ohio blizzard! I felt so motivated that you were in the cold too while my little one was inside. Super kudos bro. Like damn. Saved my whole life I feel like and helle money 😁😁👏👏
Great detailed video. My coworker let me know my drivers side light was out and this helped a lot . Swapping all bulbs.
First, thanks for posting. Was incredibly helpful - the most helpful video on the subject and saved me $$$$ on labor costs.
Second, unfortunately for me, my 2018 Jeep Cherokee Latitude had HID bulb instead of standard. so had to go back to Auto Zone to return a 17.99 item for a 131.99 model, as it would take an online purchase of a conversion kit which I had neither the time or patience for.
Didn't know until I pulled out the headlight assembly and unplug the HID unit itself. The Auto Zone apparently didn't know either, so was at least able to return the orginal cheap bulb to go toward the overly expensive HID one, which was only used for a limited span on specific Jeep models.
Good news is thanks to the video, was able to get it done. Was not particularly easy due to the awkward location, which to you have to do by feel.
Cheers big bro!
"YOU GOTTA MOVE, BLAKE!". 😄 Love it. Nice, concise vid bro. Thanks a bunch. Enjoy those moments with the little lass. I blinked and mine just went to college.
Yeah she is growing up so fast. Too fast really
Thank you for this upfront and straight to the chase video. Will be checking more of your stuff out
Appreciate that
This works exactly as he describes in the video. I had no problems doing this completly on my own. The only hard part was getting out my old fog light. It was extremely hard to get out. The headlight was super easy though! Just follow along with him and you will be able to change your lights on your own!
Thank you for this video, especially how you took time to zoom in, illuminate, and focus on the details. Only thing I would've done differently would've been to test if they worked before reassembly. Maybe you did and missed it
Excellent step by step with all considerations to watch out for covered. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
This man does know what he is doing. Great Video!
Much appreciated
Awesome step by step replacement with very detailed information and to do with the family is priceless. Thanks
Appreciate that
Just what I needed, video saved to reference tonight when I change the bulb. Loved the cameos XD
Glad I could help!
Exactly what I needed, You rock! Thank you!

Awesome! Thank you! (Especially for the 'why' you don't want to touch the bulb part)
Glad to help!

Yet another thing I thought I knew, then had to watch a video on, since buying a new car. The other thing was the brakes😂
Thanks, mine just went out and I was going to remove it but couldn't figure out how to get to the housing and was thinking I had to remove the battery or take it to the dealer. Thanks for making this easy as well as less time consuming and cheaper.
Happy to help
A dad's job never stops
Fact
Great video
thank you sir
Some models have access flaps on the inside of the fender wells. On the passengers side I had to use the flap as there was something in the way when I removed the three screws.
Much appreciated, as a Papa, I'm in.
Anytine
2019 Jeep Cherokee latitude is a headache. Yet to see anyone do it on TH-cam.
Thanks. I’m going to put on my head lamp and try what you just did. Wish me luck.
I did it! Thank you :)
Is there a video on how to change the outer right passenger side taillight ?
Thank you so much. Pep boys told me it would cost over 400 because the bumper needs to come off and that it would be a 2 hour job.
400 wow. Im happy I could help
Can you show a video for the passenger side? This is the east one, passenger side has a giant contraption blocking it and I can’t find a video on how to do it, I can get the fog light but this hose blocks the headlight
Yea shop wants to charge my co worker 800 to do both headlights. And then they have to “reset her cars computer” fuckin non sense.
@@ridetimelessnj What year is your car?
Thanks!
🙌🙌
Blake stole the show.
She always does
My jeep didn't come with an adorable little helper >:( I want a refund!
Thanks for the video though! I was so confused looking under the hood to change the dang headlights!
Happy to help
How can I tell the difference of if I have the led or regular lights? Should I take the bulbs out when I get to AutoZone and show them?
The lowbeam on the one I got has a square box on it and can't put a normal bulb on it because the connector is different
Good video but I just went a bought the wrong light it wasn't clear in which one to get. Kinda disappointed
I have a 15 Cherokee Trailhawk. How do you aim - adjust the high beam?
"Absorbenent".... as in: 'this light bulb "absorbs" your money!'
'Exorbitant', unnecessarily expensive, might be true also, but
still absorbs money.
Going through the access flaps works, plus removing the tire gets all the room needed, and wear rubber surgery gloves, so "no-touchy-lite-bulb".
Thanks for the support
My ad.. was looking for a video replacing the headlight, not just the bulb..
How do you remove the black twist-off cover before accessing the bulb? I tried to remove it but it doesn't actually twist
Thought the fog lights for 2019 are H11 size?
What size fog lights are you using?
He says be careful or you will break the tabs....I go on to break the tabs smh
Nooooooo
@@614Lyfe lol ... Broke the tabs for both lights smh.... I admit I am horrible with this kind of stuff. Your video was awesome though!
In my defense my car is about 8 years old and the tabs weren't budging.
@@ravipatel1979 yeah when they get old they are alot harder to get lose. Happy we could help
Aye I was the 1,000th like!
I appreciate it
What about the top headlight with the LED? Jeep are nice cars but have the most ridiculous way to replace and remove things.
2019 jeep trailhawk it looks different
How do I change my 2020 jeep Cherokee trailhawk fog lights because it’s not a bulb it’s just one LED connected to a wire
Might have to get a whole new fixture
It should also be covered under the warantee
Can I get led lights ? The blue looking lights with out a wire assemble? Ik they day running lights are led both the high beam and fog lights are yellow tho ?
Not sure if that works
@@614Lyfe jus wondering kuz I got led day running lights for the top lights, but the lights on the bumper and fog lights are holegen (stock) old style lights
@@tmgtez6455 i think you can get them aftermarket but it requires some wire splicing and another additional component you have to mount
i cannot find any video or information on how to adjust the headlights vertically. can you help?
We don’t have this car anymore sorry. But I thinking you twist the black tabs on them
Be a lot easier if you took the tire off
how bright / yello ware the basic fog ligjhts
Very bright not yellow at all.
@@614Lyfe brighter than factory? I know the Cherokee comes with shitty fog lights. I have his headlights. But bulb still 2504 I'm pretty sure. I need to replace mine
Yes looks way better then the factory for sure
There is no panel access on my 2019cherokee.fact
Ha ha how bout the passenger side? Too fucking hard
Same as driver side
Your co-worker needs to stop fooling around and get to work. 😅
Right 😂😂😂
Perfect! Thank you!
What could be the problem when both headlights go out at the same time? Thanks for all the help
