Signing the papers right now on a 2015 Lattitude for our son in college. His 2001 Grand Cherokee has given us good, safe service and we thank it. Looked at lots of SUV's but sticking with the Jeep. Thanks Palmer Jeep Alpharetta GA
I know this video is a little older but I’m getting one as my first car and I’m super excited! This video definitely made me even more excited and well prepared for all its features!
Did you actually end up getting this car? Has it caused you any problems? I just bought one last week (4 cylinder version) but didn't know about all the issues the car has had in the past until after I bought it so I'm just curious what your experience has been if you actually got one.
@@bunnyboo486 hey Danielle I bought mines the same time about 2 weeks ago and I'm having seconds thoughts and wishing I didn't get in this mess although is working fine I have the carfax data and it had 3 owners and is only going to 6 years old transmission replace and tcm module replace rewiring on the transmission new battery pcm something like that was reprogram radio reprogram and a few more things. .so I do know if they got to the root of the problems or is going to continue needing work ...it's been fine since I got it but it not long only a few weeks I paid cash 12.ooo we buy any car offer me 9.000 and I'm thinking of selling it and buying something else
I'm thinking of buying this vehicle. Thanks for the informative video. Just one thing. From what I understand, the start/stop won't work if the engine is still cold. That's why it wasn't ready when you were looking at it on the dashboard. Thanks again... It's great to see a run-down of the vehicle without having a salesman looking over your shoulder.
I just bought one for my wife, she loves it. We had a Jeep Patriot that we really liked but the seats were very uncomfortable and the steering was very stiff. This Cherokee is very, very nice. We got the latitude with the cold weather package (remote start heated seats and steering wheel and the 8 + in. touch screen. Our,s has the 2.4 4 popper in it, seems to have plenty of get up and go. So far so good, we will see how it holds up. Thanks for the video ( You knew more about this car than our salesman knew).
We are still really liking our jeep and now with 11000 miles on it, it's getting better fuel mileage around 30 miles to the gallon. Not bad for a 4 wheel drive. We have had no trouble at all so far!!
I test drove the Cherokee Latitude in March 2014, even though I did not purchase one. The front end looks questionable, but the rest of the vehicle looks sweet inside and out. Perhaps Jeep will correct the front end styling around 2017.
ALL Cherokee's come with a 9 speed automatic, not an 8 speed like you claim. Also, the guide lines for the backup camera can be turned on through the settings on the Uconnect screen.
you can turn on the backup 'lines' or guides within the on-screen "controls" tab for the reverse camera, you mentioned it didn't have the guide lines..
Thanks for the info on the spare tire. I'm going to be looking at these this summer so I will make sure to check that the one I want has a spare. One thing that I don't understand is how my 16 year old Bravada has head rests that automatically fold up when you lower the seat but this Cherokee (and many other new cars) require the head rests to be removed for them to fold flat.
It is not a manumatic or slap shift. It is electronic range select. The transmission will not exceed the gear you select. To engine brake you must hold the shifter in the negative position and it will start to engine brake. This is all stated in the manual. My Cadillac had the slap shift, but as I am still waiting on my new jeep, I have not yet got to play with the range select. Range select apparently addresses the choosing of gears but still automatic. I am fine with that.
Hey i was wondering for the 2015 jeep cherokee where is the heated seating control for the back seats and steering wheel? And if you can turn off the car on/off when at a stop light? Thanks
***** The heated seat controls for the back seats should be on the back of the center console. The heated steering wheel control should be on the touchscreen under controls. The stop/start feature can be turned off with a button with a big A on it just under the touch screen.
If you decided to add the selec-terrain system (auto/snow/mud/sand/), how much extra would it cost for that? can you add this system on the sport model? Thank you.
What I would love to see is a review of all the tech and safety group options. There does not seen to be any in depth looks at these systems. Everyone keeps focusing on the stop and start engine. And I would love to see both the tow and cold weather packs and what they actually add. 32 day of waiting for my jeep...
Just got a 2015 Latitude, but am guessing is not the "4579" if that's a special package, as mine has a key with hard key & remote (think they call it a fob) and no push start. I only got one key, so would like to get a spare, but dealer wants like $240 to program one (a friggin key) for me. I see online you can maybe do it yourself for half the price, if the vehicle is compatible, and you (or me a novice) can figure it out. What are my odds to successfully save the $100+ buying fob online, verse taking her to the dealer, in lieu of any other way. Now your Jeep seems to have way more options than mine, like the door opening without using the key (unless mine has it if that's like standard on all Latitudes), but mine has a full spare tire verse nothing (if the tire is an option), or the donut looks like that you got. So am happy for me about that, and how your video showed me how to open the hood, and manually shift gears. Thank you! Now mine has no CD player (not on console, or in center console, or in glove box; only places I know where to check) that I can find, and didn't see one in yours too, right? Also, to the right of the "SCREEN OFF" button, is a "BACK" button, which does what? And, is using 89 grade gas or less, appropriate for this Jeep? Lastly, paid $17,400 for mine, out the door WITH Florida sales tax, tag, title & everything with it being in mint condition, and only 26K miles so still have the original full warranty to 36K miles (or 3 years). Would you say that's a high price, fair price, or great price?
MikesCarInfo I read many reviews saying transmission problem in the 2014 model and the company released a software update for this. Not sure still the problem persist in 2015 model
ziangaro I work at a CHRYSLER dealer and just bought a 2015 Cherokee for the wife with the 2.4. Our 2015 is MUCH smoother and quick off the line and smoother shifting than the 2014's I've driven. Chrysler must have done "something" to the 2015's because they perform like a different vehicle, get a 2015!
Do all 2015 Jeep Cherokee Latitude models come with the same features? I recently purchased one and it's missing some of the features that are present in this video
They are not all the same. In the description of this video you will see the features listed out... everything under "OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT" is stuff that was added to this vehicle.
People don't buy this car i was an actual owner and i had so many problems, my car its still at the shop the dealer don't even know whats the problem is and jeep offered to change the car for another jeep car and i wanted my money back and i'm still having problems with them, so people don't waist your time and your money.
Patrick Kane transmission kept failing they installed a new transmission and its still giving problems, they still don't know and im still figuring out whats going to happen...
...another video where its all about the interior ---> forget about the exterior (fact) ,with a $40,000 price tag the whole selling point is storage trays & rubiks cube size compartments : \

after a year of living with the i4, how do you like it? I'm looking at the Cherokee and I wanted to see how someone with the i4 likes it

No, it has plenty of get up and go. Your not going to win any races but it will get you out into traffic.

I think you answered your own question.
Theres a back button you skipped over it whats its function??
It takes you to the previous screen... similar to a computer browser back button.
It is a 9 speed transmission.
Thanks for the correction! :)
I have a 2015 Cherokee Latitude and when I go to hit my brakes going downhill my rpms go up is this normal?
Ed Villagomez I don't think so. You may want to have the dealership look at it. Let me know what you find out.
maybe your hitting the gas pedal some when braking.....
Ed Villagomez Tow/Haul is on...
Get rid of it as fast as you can!
how do u get that beaping thing to work
It’s seat belt. Buckle up
Is 4x4 ?
Wheels and tires look a little wimpy. It should have an option for 19" wheels on the upper trims like the Escape and CX5 have.
Check out the Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk.
Mazda CX-5’s are twice the rig crap jeeps are! Never own another Cherokee if they gave me one.
