    I was wondering why one person was getting promoted and not the others even though the promoted person is less capable.
    Communication was the only key!
    Thank you Dr. Grace Lee.

    Make sure your boss achieves HIS/HER goals. The CEO reports to the Board of Directors who care about Earnings per Share, hitting the Dividend projection and stock price. At a slightly lower level it could be getting the Smithers contract extended. Find out what your boss values most.

    Promoted "simply because they can talk well". Exactly, this is how it goes. And this is also why companies do not deserve highly intelligent and highly skilled people in the first place. I'm still working on the implementation level, despite a high degree, and despite an IQ over 140. I can even talk well, but I'm not playing the stupid corporate games. I'm too proud for that. Corporate America does not deserve people like us and the day of early retirement will be the most beautiful day of my life. I have already withdrawn my best performance, I'm only cashing in the money.

    Imagination level - I do not think typical C level representatives will have imagination. Rarely upper management is understanding what its doing. What I mean - there must be other reasons for people to become C level other than imagination. I would say imaginatuon is extermely rare and deifnitely is highest in the marketplace, yet it is most commoncly not existing in a majority of a corporate management.

    • @msjithy
      @msjithy 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@harlinaindra4899 you promote who performs well, result oriented. Communication skills, leadership skills can be trained when employees are already peomoted. But hardworking skilled individuals who are implementors are precious and should be recognized more than just those who are "visible" to the eyes of their Boss.

    Funny how in school, we were all taught to listen, follow direction, do and speak when asked. However, at the highest level, all of that is disregarded for imagination.
    In other words, schooling doesn’t create leaders. School creates workers for folks to often opt out of school.

    • @vrythngyknswrng9323
      @vrythngyknswrng9323 ปีที่แล้ว

      There's context to it; how can you be a successful and continuous imaginer without having succeeded in implementing and unifying? How will you ever be realized if you can't communicate? True our education system seems to focus on the first stage the most, but you need to learn to crawl to walk to fly to live your dreams, else your dreams will be short-lived!

    • @2kool4ukewlguy77
      @2kool4ukewlguy77 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@vrythngyknswrng9323 using your example, then the end result of 12+ years of schooling should be able to "fly or live your dream". However, not many people get to do that. why? because the school system does not foster "imagination".
      It's true you need to crawl prior to walking, but I think you are misled. We all have different facets in our lives that can be developed independently. For example, Learning how to eat doesn't come after walking. Learning how to do accounting/financing doesn't have to come after learning math. Skills sets can be developed at the same time or independently. The point is, our school develop our skills to listen and follow direction while our imagination suffers.

    • @vrythngyknswrng9323
      @vrythngyknswrng9323 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@2kool4ukewlguy77 those are great points; i agree school has its gaps. I never expected school to be more than a "let me show you i have discipline, a willingness to learn, and can apply principles holistically".
      I also think education system was designed to satisfy majority of population; very few are capable of being dreamers/imaginers. What if sports was designed to cater to only the lebrons kobes and mjs? 99% basketball players would be unaccounted for and guided in a way they can contribute.

      Depends on your team and company culture.
      In some places, people may take you as a "threat" or spoiling the market at work.
      Generally, it's more acceptable in western corporate culture.
