- After a stressful week we took an impromptu trip to Castleton in the Peak District. We had a lovely meal in 'Ye Olde Nags Head' and stealth camped at the side of a cemetery. The following morning we were up early to hike up Mam Tor and experience a beautiful sunrise.

Unbelievable how long people take to start up the car and drive off! It's like they are prepping the space shuttle for launch. Only other thing like that that gets my goat is being in a supermarket queue and after five minutes waiting the woman in front suddenly realises that she is going to have to pay. Yes love, it's never free! Then rummage about in the big bag for the handbag, then rummage in the handbag for the purse then rummage in the purse for the cards and the coupons and the loyalty card.
Absolutely! That's another one of mine too 🤣
One day you will be old. Show some empathy.
It won't be nice when the now version of you is tutting at the old version of you.
So funny but can relate to that not good when you are the one watching

Ha ha love your stuff I gotta Peugeot boxer now and stand out large, don't worry about people and the snotty ways, I'm 56 and started like you now everything on board insulation splash room, etc everything except a washing machine, a ridge monkey is essential if you get a little gas cooker to start , I have a tank underneath as have autogas from fuel stations , and get truma I heating

I park up by the Odins Mine it's a great place frequented by a good few campervans.

I miss UK, hope me and my girl can travel there this year! I love your cozy pubs and the lokal peoples mentality. All englishmen ive met have been very friendly towards me but whenever i met a stubborn dude i just threw up my snuffbox and made little pearl of snuff and the dude starts asking , what is that ? And the conversation was on. Btw i dont have a driving licens yet but im planning to buy a van so that me and my girl can travel around and dont pay for a single hotel night, my girl have a licens and we own a Volvo v70 and we slept in that on parkinglots 3 nights last summer , we saved a ton of money by doing that but it was not much space in that car.
The V70 is one of my favourite cars. I nearly bought one instead of the van!!

I sleep out in my van a lot.I find sleeping near graveyards calming.Quiet neighbours.Before sleeping I walk around the gravestones talk to the folk there saying their names out loud especially the very old ones whose names have not been spoken for centuries

Could've tried Morrison's down the road, or 24 hr Tesco, only 5 mins down the road n kinda on the way... I grew up around that area 👍 Well done for finding a free parking spot in Castleton 😲 double 👍👍

If you go to Castleton again I can highly recommend The George for a meal. Excellent food and you get a lot for your money. It's been 10/10 every time I've been and all 6 pubs serve excellent ale

Great video and in my village too!!! Small world. The George is the best pub by far. You're better off parking on the old Mam Tor Road just outside the village tbh. I was palying bingo that night I can see the back of my head. Seriois money involved there

Great video 👍 I felt your pain waiting for that parking spot. I’m sure they were faffing on purpose knowing you were waiting. There’s always someone pratting about like that at the petrol station when there’s a queue for the pump, checking everything in their car before putting their seatbelt on 😡😂

My local area stopped here in van many times in winter of 20/21 (on old mam tor road) and Nags is best pub in the village can get bloody windy though , another great vid

Just seen your video. It is a pity you have to do that , as the cost of living is getting very expensive. I think you could be doing the wrong choice.Yiu need an address for your driving license and bank details. I see you have a business address. So that sounds good. Give them that, but don't tell them it's a business address. I was in the same situation as you. I am in my 70 seventies moved to the Philippines in my 60 sixties. I am in a lot better situation now. But you are young so I hope you make it. I will look at your video's and also the advertising. Good luck mate. Make good videos so to keep viewers interested. Like your every day life. me sis lived in castleton...i kno that pub u parked outside...i remmeber it from bout 25 yrs ago when she lived that way....i like it up that way...im from midlands/smethwick (shithole) ha...cant wait to get out in me van and do adventures....ps have u been to the b29 overexposed site yet (the plane crash site) in glossop....its cool there and u can camp at the bottom
