- Crust ~ 10 graham cracker sheets ( or about 1 full package ), 4 tbsp melted butter, pinch of salt, 2 tsp brown sugar
- Cheesecake batter ~ 2/3 cup sugar, 2 tbsp corn starch, 2 pinches salt, 16 oz cream cheese, 1/2 cup sour cream, 2tsp vanilla, 2 eggs
- Topping ~ 2 "big huge" tbsp sour cream, 2 tsp sugar
- Pressure cook 26 min
- rest 10 min
- refrigerate at least 4 hours ~ even better overnight

****** Nothing in this recipe needs to be exact !!!!!! ~ If you want to alter it slightly to meet your own preference that is just fine. This video is a combination of all of the other videos and recipes that I have tried in the past. I always slightly change recipes to my preference, thats the fun of cooking. Either way I promise you, when you are done, you will still get cheesecake. Don't over think anything :) and have fun.

Um, I don't think it's for anything to do with the video but rather the title...pot cheesecake. Some people might expect a certain ingredient here when that's not what it's about.
@@waterandsteel4713 we are in a restricted diet but you just adjust the recipe. My husband has to be gluten free and sugar free.
I see the title as "Instant Pot New York Cheesecake..." not just 'pot.' I take it you are unfamiliar with the Instant Pot.

I made this in my Ninja Foodi and after 4 hours of chilling in the fridge, I sliced a few pieces and drizzled them with my raspberry sauce. Yummy! Hubby says it’s the BEST cheesecake he has ever had. That’s good enough for me. Easy to make, very few ingredients and no oven! Win! WIN!

The ONLY problem I have with this recipe is that I have had to make cheesecakes for half of Pennsylvania (perhaps I am exaggerating a bit). AS

I love teaching kids. And this was absolutely great. You did great, dad. I was married but divorced him. Not for this reason but... I have to say.. it would have been "out of this world for me" to have had a father who knows how to do some cooking... baking. I can't imagine having a husband that can make SOMETHING.... even cheesecake. YUM... YUM. Cheesecake has to be one of the easiest but most delicious things to make and to make it in a Instant Pot. Great job, dad. And boys.. you did great... love the video... love your faces eating the fruits of your labor.
So, I just put my cheesecake in the oven because I don’t have a pressure cooker...the batter was delicious. Instead of graham crumbs I’m using biscoff crumbs..that’s all I had in my pantry...I have a feeling this is going to be an out of body experience.. you sir are my new hero......and God bless you for being a great dad to your boys... stay blessed....

I live on the other side of the world in Australia, so I'm not likely to ever know how good the Carnegie Deli's New York Cheesecake is, so thanks for the recipe trialing and taste-testing by you and your son. Now I have the most wonderful recipe for New York Cheesecake, ever! Wonderful. :)
My wife bought an instapot about a year ago and made this cheesecake receipt and it is the BEST I have ever had....hands down. If you like plain new york style cheesecake this is it. thanks so much.

I just made this but low carb using crushed pecans for the crust and where you call for sugar, I used half that amount of Splenda. Your measurements were spot on (I took pinch to be 1/2 tsp) and it came out fabulous. Yummy! I didn't have the special pan and rack either, so I used my smallest spring form pan that just barely fit in the pot and wrapped a piece of foil under it for handles so I could pull it out. Worked perfect! Thank you for this recipe & method!! 5 Stars! Love your little helper. :)
Power Tools with Thread...My daughter and I used Splenda until we discovered it has an unhealthy ingredient. I don't remember what it was, as it was so long ago. We use stevia now, or coconut palm sugar.

I planned on making this for Easter but the pan was missing for the instapot so I made this in a springfoam pan then sat it inside a waterbath in the oven. It still came out perfect. Its the best cheesecake I have ever made.

I have two children that I used to cook with all the time and encourage them to change the recipe and now they both cook. Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he'll eat for a lifetime. I just ordered the pan and parchment paper so I'll be trying this with my daughter as soon as they arrive.

@@lorrainecrance5056Instapot is fabulous. Our family of six all kiddos in there teens lived in an RV for almost a year. I needed something that could make a lot of food in a little time. Our heater would not work in - degree weather when we ran any thing else for cooking due amperage. So my crockpot was out of the question. I got one of these and have never looked back in over 3 years. It is amazing! Love, love, love, it!

In 9th grade, I had a chemistry class teacher who taught some stuff to us by having us bake things. In a lot of ways, baking is like chemistry--from measuring, mixing, and heating chemicals and liquids. The best part was, we got to "eat" our assignments! Parents like this are actually teaching the kids more than just how to bake

This is an absolutely perfect video on so many levels. A man who can bake. A kitchen with great appliances that aren't just for show. A patient dad who walks his son through the process while he films the steps. Very clear directions for those of us who are owners of one of these pots but are sort of afraid of them. My recipe is very similar but for a 10" pan. You too use the secret ingredient -- the corn starch for a creamy, velvety texture. Above that -- like me -- you are using 2 VERY important ingredients -- your cream cheese has to be Philadelphia and sour cream has to be Daisy. There's something about those brands that make it better!! You too got a hit there buddy!

i personally don't like graham cracker crust on ANYTHING old school , use a pie crust or short cookie dough , or simply butter and flour the pan agree tho' that REAL sour cream is essential , not some gelatin stiffened milk...READ THE LABEL fear of fat-has ruined more foods than fear of gluten Philly even makes a fake cream cheese ; a waste of money when it ruins the recipe

Okay for starters, this was the first cheesecake I ever tried to make. 2nd, this was the best cheesecake I've ever bv eaten. This was so easy, no leak, but a 1/2 more the as n my Willton 6x2.75 inch pan could hold. This was so good. I let it sit overnight. Cheesecake is my favorite dessert a mb d I'll never buy another after making this recipe.

Definitely amongs the best cheesecakes ever and so easy. We topped it with the pressure luck instant pot recipe for dulce de leche and it was totally out of this world. You could only eat a little piece it's so rich. Thank you for this wonderful recipe. I showed my 8 year old grandson your son helping you and he decided to be my sous chef while making the cheesecake. You have helped create another cook/baker.
