  • Salads are considered to be the key to fitness. Had this idea ever hit you to restrict your meals to salads completely? Like daily, three times a day!
    But before you jump to this diet, you should know when you eat only this bowl of salad every day, what does it do to your body? We will consider both the pros and cons of eating salad every day let's say for a month (30 days).
    First, let’s look at some Pros
    1. You are Consuming healthy fat.
    Roasted or raw seeds like pumpkin and sunflower seeds are examples of good fat. These you can easily include in your salad too. Also, some oil-based dressings are good fat too. Just ensure you are not consuming saturated fat, which is quite unhealthy.
    2. Your digestion improves.
    When you eat salads, you're consuming a high amount of fibers. Fibers help to clean your intestines and speed up the process of absorbing the right nutrients. In simple words, they do not let you complain of constipation.
    3. Your body gets essential vitamins.
    Your body will receive the right amounts of vitamins when you eat salads. Vitamins are essential for your health and offer numerous advantages. For example, vitamin A is vital for your vision. In contrast, vitamin C is an antioxidant agent that helps your skin look young and fresh.
    4. You will lose weight
    With the right amount of foods in your salad bowl, you will consume fewer calories. When you eat multiple types of food items daily, you are also taking the calories offered by each of them. But if your choices are limited, you have better control over your calorie intake.
    5. Your blood pressure will drop
    Green veggies are an excellent source of Potassium. Potassium lowers your blood pressure and is good for the heart. Remember! High blood pressure is a silent killer. Your salad bowl even saves you from this disease.
    6. Your muscles will become active
    Do you remember Popeye, the sailor? And how he used to consume spinach to get bigger biceps? Scientists have now proved that some green vegetables speed up the process of converting protein into muscle mass. This process helps to build your muscles.
    Now, let’s see some Cons
    1. You crave for more
    Eating the same kind of salads every day will restrict your taste buds to a limited choice of foods. Hence they want more. People eating salads are eagerly waiting to try the delicious meals that are out there. And when they get a chance to do so, it's hard to stop. They will probably end up cheating or overeating.
    2. You feel hungry
    Salads are not fulfilling! You feel hunger pains, and this is a significant drawback of following this diet. But it is not like this problem doesn't have a solution. It would be best if you keep going. Once your body gets used to this limited meal, it will adjust and reduce its appetite, and you will no longer feel these hunger attacks.
    3. You mistakenly consume more
    Salads are healthy if you make them in a healthy way. There is no point in eating salads if you are adding too much in your bowl. Even if they are fruits, veggies, and protein, they have calories. If you are taking the same amount of calories in your salad, as you were taking in your regular meal, you lose the purpose of eating salad.
    In conclusion, the positive effects on your body by eating salads every day outweigh the negative ones. Salads are health builders. Also, with a bit of innovation, you can make your salad bowls interesting. Variety is fun and doesn't let you get bored with the same diet. We recommend you eating salad every day for a healthy, wealthy living.

    I learned in this video that salads help with lowering your blood pressure, keeps you from being constipated regulates your bowls. Salads also help you loose weight. I'm going to start eating salads everyday.

    I eat two chunky salads and a bowl of oats a day. I eat a lot, and find that I’m craving it now. My mind and body is working so much more effectively now and I have way more energy.

      @@BIGNOSEPOPPA I don’t know what that guy puts in his oats, but I use old fashioned oats and make overnight oats breakfast ready to go with minimal cleanup. Low fat milk, real cinnamon, honey, a little vanilla, and blueberries. Preferably I eat 1-2 fried eggs as well seasoned with black pepper, red pepper flakes, cayenne pepper, a little oregano. Shazam

    Been eating salad every meal for 2 weeks now. I eat at 12 and at 8 and fast for 16 hours. My salad has Kale, spinach, a few kinds of lettuce, I use a hand full of each so it's quite large. Then I add cashews, hemp seeds, avocado, sunflower seeds, chia seeds, raisins, blueberries, 2 boiled eggs, a form of meat either steak, chicken, or fish. 4-6 ounces, and full fat ranch. I do take a multivitamin, a vitamin c and b complex. All this keeps me quite full and I feel as for a man it's necessary to add all this. I do concrete and construction for work and I have my own farm also, I have plenty of energy, actually I have more than ever. I've leaned up quite quickly. The intermentent fasting is amazing. The first few days you think your starving but one day your like dang man I ain't even hungry. The human body adapts quickly, and it's just so amazing. Oh to add on I'm almost 25, I don't know if this adds anything or not but age might or might not affect what you can or can't eat?

      Been 3 weeks now roughly, still eat salads, but changed it up Abit. I may have Abit more meat or cook asparagus, broccoli, and a steak or chicken breast, then have a smaller salad with all my regular stuff in it, then have a large salad for the next meal of the day since I only eat twice. Actually I see an uptick in energy and fat lost in doing this. I assume it's because I'm not really restricting calories and my body isn't freaking out and going into conserve mode. Still staying away from unhealthy carbs not from vegetables.

    you can eat more salad than you can eat burgers. its very hard to gain weight eating salad. its hard to eat 1000 kcal of salad versus 1000 calories of burgers

    I've been eating a few pieces of fruit plus one big veggie salad within a 2 hour window each day. I am so full from it I don't even get hungry during my daily 22 hour fast. I'm only on day 4 but I love it and still not hungry.

    as a base for salad, one suggestion is to cut up and mix, in a big bowl:
    raw broccoli
    tomato
    red onion
    red pepper
    cucumber
    garbanzo beans
    just snacking on those is amazingly tasty and energizing. adding some chicken, shredded cheese, tortilla chips or croutons, lettuce and dressing makes it a meal.

      I'm 137 pounds. After quiting eating nothing but ramen, pizza, chilli, ECT and started eating healthy after eating like crap for years I lost weight. I only just started but I lost 6 pounds already. I have a lot more energy to at 25. When u eat clean u get benefits. Now did I quit eating junk. No I just restricted it to having some once every week on Friday. And I replaced most of my junk food with healthy alternatives. Such as dark chocolate for period days and pita chips instead of hot Cheetos or Doritos. Again I'm just starting so I'm slowly winging off of certain foods by replacing them with alternatives. My blood pressure went down too. It use to be 167-156 now it's down to a healthy level.

    Ok I was just making sure that it’s safe to eat just one meal that being a salad per day to lose weight fast. And once I reach my goal to maintain weight I will eat a salad for lunch and a small dinner. My goal is to lose about 60lbs and I’m going to just eat a salad for lunch, no breakfast no dinner. Get on a schedule of waking up at 9 and going to bed at 10. And exercising by doing workouts every day. And that’s how I plan to do it starting on Monday. Oh and weighing myself every day to. Wish me luck!

      Check that your protein, fiber, vitamins, good fat, water consuming is right, otherwise can become weak within a week.

      You need to be on a calorie deficit. Yes losing weight isn’t easy but it takes patience. You won’t lose weight overnight you’ll need protein, without it you’ll be weak like the person in the comment said…my granddad would tell me just eat half of what you eat and you’ll see the pounds slide right off

    If you want to lose weight keep away from bread 🍞 potatoes and gravy and also sugar
    eat salad 🥗 boiled eggs and ham , one meal a day ; And plenty of water 💧 and when you feel hungry
    drink water or brush your teeth that will get rid of your hunger pang & also walk to the town centre instead of getting the bus
    All these little tips worked for me so they will work for you " try it
    if you don't like going to the gym (like me) this is the way to do it

    I’ve added it to my diet to help me get the most vitamins. I include tuna, nuts, seeds, eggs and chicken for protein. I try to fast in the Am too so then my first meal is healthy. I’ve added more fruits for the fiber as well. My dinner is then protein, complex carb like sweet potatoes and another vegetable. I want to add exercise to help speed up fat loss.

    My current breakfast for the past two weeks since I was told I have a type 1 fatty liver;
    Spinach and/or iceberg lettuce/salad leaves
    sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds
    3 x boiled eggs,
    Depending which day a mixture of;
    Avocado
    Cucumber
    Fermented cabbbage
    Asparagus
    Red pepper
    Courgette
    With a splash of Olive Oil on top
    Add Beetroot, Grated Carrot or Pine nuts for a sweeter flavour
    I felt hungry the first two weeks but your body definitely adjusts and I no longer feel hungry after eating meals.

    If you load up your salads with a lot of cheese, fat, dressing, bacon, nuts and fruit you might as well have a steak or a big Mac because of all the calories in it.

      A good salad is a mixture of vegetables and greens. No salad dressings and salt. You can use a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil instead of salad dressings.

      Or Apple Cider Vinegar, or lemon juice, or mustard as a dressing. And yes to your question, eat 1 salad per day maybe for lunch (that is not drenched in oil, which is 120 calories per tablespoon) for a month and get a scale (something like the RENPHO Body Fat Scale Smart BMI Scale Digital Bathroom Wireless Weight Scale, $20) and track your progress for that month; then find out for yourself.
      Try Arugula, Baby Spinach, Shredded Cabbage, or Baby Kale as a salad base, you can never eat too much of these greens. Add a can of black beans (drained and rinsed preferably) or any kind of beans (Garbanzo, Lentils, Split Peas, Cannellini). Add, preferably raw Onions, add seeds (chia, flax, pumpkin, hemp, walnuts etc.). If you want more protein, add some baked chicken, or hard boiled eggs, or tuna, or another protein source. Throw in some cooked mushrooms too. Loaded with fiber so it should keep you full, and absolutely loaded with micronutrients to fuel your brain, organs, blood, and keep you alert.

      Just eat more greens. But still have ur main meal. And of course portion control. And some exercise won't hurt .sadly we gotta be real. I lost a few pounds. And in my salad I use the ones that walmart has, mixed and comes in those clear boxes? And itilian dressing, I throw in some sliced eggs in them... mandarins. Sometimes I do it with tuna or chicken. Salad taste pretty awesome ..unlike the ones in school for lunch, I remember those 🤮

      I understand. You cannot eat the same thing everyday. You should try to change the salad. You can also experiment by adding some fruits.

      Maybe you do not know how to make a proper salad? Salads can be diversified. Try incorporating many different ingredients. You can add boiled eggs, anchovies, tomatoes, grated carrots, quinoa, soba noodles, croutons, chicken etc... Greens should be the main ingredients and you can add a little bit of anything else, mix everything together and voilà, you have a salad. Use ingredients you like but stay away from unhealthy ones of course.

    I eat the same salad everyday and never got bored. You wanna know how? You want to know the secret?
    Salad is complementary meaning I mix it with the food I eat. For example, If I am eating chicken and rice, every spoon must contain a chicken, rice and salad.

      Hey, thanks for your excellent comment. Please allow me to clear the meaning. "Craving for more" is a con means if someone eats only salads every day, they may get bored with it, and the probability of them getting tempted to eat unhealthy but tasty food may be increased.
      So the con is referring to "eating ONLY salad every day." The salad itself is not a con, unlike diet coke, which is bad whether you drink it occasionally or every day.
      Moreover, "false fact" is considered an oxymoron.

    Had this kind of diet before for at least 4 months its more an imposed diet and away from internet for 3 months its a nice feeling all over , and I was really dying to eat fastfood I ate a burger,fried chicken,french fries and a cold coke to wash it down. Its better than sex , those fried skin chicken are just so good and the burger was so bad , but its so damn delicious and the feeling washing it down with a cold coke was just so so unforgetable. never have a threesome , but I bet its not that good compare to that meal.

    There's things people eat I turn my salad in to a drink. Ya it doesn't look sexy are good but I add lime are lemon instead of dressing kale and spinach . So ya I eat a salad daily but it's turned into a protein drink . How it looks is why you will eat it cause you pick a tomato a few pieces of lettuce a cucumber with you're choice of dressing I just throw it all in with one lime are lemon and drink it . I cut out the dressing cause that's were the oil is at are some bad things our body should not have. 🫁❤️🧠 just cause if you do it why Im learning it should all be measured out to a person body and why knowing why it cost more for better health foods .
