My dad took us to see Dumb and Dumber in theater. Still one of the best days of my life. I don't think I've ever laughed as hard as I did that day as a 10 year old.
It would have been awesome if that generic trash dominated the 90's and all other decades, those original and daring ideas from back then are way overrated
I remember my first time watching this movie when it was first released and thinking it was going to be trash. Even though I loved Jim prior to. This movie is still one of my all time favs. Even watching these clips today had me cracking up. 😂. The scene with the landlord checking his apartment for pets. I never noticed that his grocery bag was filled with pet food. The cat food was sticking out plain as day. Lolololol. And the scene at the start of the movie where he was being rewarded for returning the busty womans dog. He was holding on to the door frame for dear life like he was in a washing machine. "For the love of Pete." "We're real friendly around here." 😂😂😂😂
So much of this movie is imprinted on my mind, hearing it again is bringing back all sorts of memories. Like I associate the sounds of the movie with certain parts of my life depending on when they were initially listened to and remembered, it's crazy.
My family loved this movie and I’m watching it right now, DYING!! 😭😭. I don’t understand how Jim is so good. That mental institution part is my favorite 😂
I particularly love the scene with Courtney, Jim and David Margulies (RIP) as the Doctor at the mental hospital, every time the camera was not on the Doctor's face you can still see from behind that he was dying laughing 😂Jim absolutely mastered physical comedy at that point.
Who would’ve ever guessed the super funny Canadian dude from this & Living Color would turn out the be-one of the great Master actors of our time, as well as such a spiritual, soulful, wise, amazing guy. So wild. Truly love & admire this guy & so respect his journey & wonderful mind+spirit.
The best scene in this movie is only available on the VHS release. "I am Hans Getvelvet trainer of ze dolphin...... Do you know him? Does he call you at home? DO YOU HAVE A DORSAL FIN??"
you missed the scene where the band was playing Beethoven at the house party and ace pulls the cello players arm the mess up the song that was hilarious.
As a wise man once said "watched ace ventura 50th times. Laughed so hard i crapped my pants. Just makes me think about make me HEEHEHHEHEHEHEEH *crap pants* OH" -Peter Griffin
You know as much as this should have been a trilogy I feel it would only just be a parody of the character. We want more and only one person can be this character and that time is over. We needed at least one more with a good writer.
His character can actually be summed up by the following virtues. Bravery Courage Compassion Self respect Dedication Perhaps I've missed some others? But he seems like a guy who believes in what he thinks is right, and a guy who won't take any crap. Overall an admirable man in that he is assertive in any environment and is basically a theatrical alpha male
Honestly If DeadPool movie was made in the 90s (Not talking about "THE" Deadpool movie, I'm talking about Marvel Comics Deadpool) Jim Carrey would've been awesome for that role!!
Jim Carrey, the only actor to ever make me bust out laughing and crying 😂😂😂
Which of his lines is the funniest to you?

I think I actually forget sometimes just how funny Jim Carrey is. Running plays in the mental ward was some incredibly talented stuff

@@CameronBrtnik let's see that again.... in instant replay 😆

I remember watching Ace Ventura in theaters back in 1994. I'm so proud of his transition from tv to film! He's super talented! 🧐♥️
@AllGTG In Living Color
Man I was 8 when this came out. Me and my little brother begged our mom to take us to go see this 😂
When i first watched ace like 20 years ago. I was 6 years old or something. I literally pissed myself laughing.
my brother & i r twins & we were born in 1994. i remember lmao at the scene the first time i watched it at my uncles old lake house in kentucky
More than Ace, the other actors need to be praised for holding back their laughter so that they can record film footage 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Never noticed how many scenes courtney cox is grinning holding back bursting out.
That scene of him going in rewind!!! Fucking hell, never gets old!
If they did Marvel in the 1990's Jim Carrey would have been hilarious as Deadpool
Yes He would
It would have been awesome if that generic trash dominated the 90's and all other decades, those original and daring ideas from back then are way overrated
@@Boro87Yeah, I'm so done with modern movies. I'd rather rewatch this 10 times in a row than see a marvel movie
If they did Marvel in the 90s it would be DOA 😂
So true
Jim Carrey is one of the only guys that makes acting dumb look absolutely hilarious 🤣🤣Legend 💯💯
If you really look you can see Courtney Cox trying not to laugh

Let's see that in instant reply haha always gets me how accurately he plays backwards 🤣
I don't know how many times I used the line "Take care now! Bye bye, then," in high school.
I just watched this movie again today, and I laughed so hard. Even Jim Carrey was hilarious!
4:38 he’s literally carrying cat food

The bit where he walks over the bubble wrap and scare himself is the exact sorta thing I would do.

The slowmo/rewind is physical humour the likes of which we won't see again. Genius.
I love that Cannibal Corps is the band playing. Jim Carrey is a huge metal head and he specifically asked them to be in his movie. It’s so cool.
Lol I can't even with him he's just so funny 🤣🤣

Keaton did great though
Lol he called Hector Salamanca a loooooseerrr!

Jim Carey and Paul Atkinson are the greatest of all. ❤
He took “peacock theory” to a different level
Oh the day when i meet a sliding balcony door i'm so doing that!
Why all the actors will have to turn their back to the camera except Jim?
Because no one can hold the laugh on their face while acting with him...
Hector Salamanca was Ace Ventura's landlord!
Leo D. you are now Second Aid To Camp. Pick a Third. Star 💫 from the Rock Dexter Morgan and Dad LithGo.
