It's unsure how The Mask was going to stretch it as long as it is. The extra long limo was made by a company in real life. It was driven by a woman who worked for the company, the director wasn't sure if it could fit in the tight space. She parked it perfectly on the first take. Tina's singing voice was provided by Susan Boyd. Cameron Diaz learnt how to do the dance so well her dancing double didn't think she'd be needed. When The Mask spins Tina into a tornado her shoes start to smoke, after this the soles of her heels are black indicating they were singed from being spun so fast. Finally. The Mask's award winning speech is a reference to Sally Field's best actress Oscar speech in 1985 for Place's in the Heart. Only Jim changed it to "You love me. You really love me." Rather than the original "You like me. You really like me."

This released when I was 4 years old. I watched it on vhs and was blown away by how spunky and fun it was. Nailing the jazz theme perfectly that not many forms of media can replicate today. Jim Carrey himself is such a talented actor. From his days of stand-up comedy to acting, he has cemented himself as a fantastic and unpredictable actor. Great improvisation skills to boot. This will remain as one of my all-time favorite movies from the 90’s, next to Coneheads and Home Alone. Sadly: Son of The Mask is not good by any measure of morality or logic.
I love how when The Mask throws out the money to the crowd, they race for the bills and barge through the entrance, despite how the doorman yells at them that no one is getting in.
