  • Many people use Design Space to create their entire projects, but in my opinion, Design Space is a pretty terrible program, and I only use it to send my designs to Cricut. Soon, I'll upgrade the Cricut to a machine that can handle bigger and better things, but before I do, I want to share with you guys a little bit of my process.

    I am L❤VING YOU rn I have been watching about 12 hours cumulatively of TH-cam and they all skipped the steps around minute 7. Which was causing me allll kinds of problems. So thank you for taking time to teach us. 😊 Hey adding graphics of ur doggy or any doggy will smash your brand. Image trace may be helpful 😁

      I know!! He's using vector graphics software to save a bit image, importing it to the cutter software which converts it back to a vector. Why not just save a vector graphic (SVG)? It will also come in at the correct size if you import an SVG - as it is, the size is determined by the resolution of the saved bit image.

    Also, VERY COOL brayer! I too have tools from my grandparents that are antiques and are still perfectly usable! They work better than most new tech really! Lol. Are you by any chance planning on making anymore Adobe Illustrator + Cricut tutorials?? I hope you do because there is a high demand for them but a lot of people that have done tutorials, go slower than you did, but they make very little sense! Which is crazy! You went at a fairly fast pace and got more across than a few other tutorials did in the space of an hour! Lol. Seems you have a real knack at it. I subscribed so if you do make any others I'll see them! Thanks and good luck! What a great life btw! You guys travel around, and get to be around horses at speed events, photographing imo, the most photogenic creatures that ever were/ are/ will be! Thanks again✌

      I have the Maker 3 and it's awesome. I'm not really blown away by the new smart materials though... They're way too expensive and you can actually use other brands of vinyl... just have to be the 13" wide to fit in machine. If I were to do it over I'd probably have gotten a maker... instead of a maker3 because I don't do the long cuts that are really the only other difference in the machines (12' vs 3'? I believe) I could have spent the extra $ on all the material and the subscription to cricut access. If you don't subscribe I believe cricut limited the amount of uploads one can do to design space, to 20 a month. Hope that helps! It also really depends on what you want to do with the machine. I change my mind a lot so I wanted the most versatile machine available for only a bit more money than the ExplorerAir3. You're gonna want a good press as well... it helps with the iron on so much to have a good even distribution of heat. Good luck girl!! Have fun!

      I think for a beginner, currently Cricut explorer 3 essential bundle is the best deal. Cricut maker is better if you have more budget or else explore 3 almost all the jobs that maker does and reduce your cost

    Hello Olie
    I have been trying to convert a vector image to svg using Object>Expand..., Object>Compound Path and didn't work so I tried your technique using File>Export Selection...and it works I expected but still I have to tried with other image...

    What if i want the text to have colors? What should i do?

    • @bluntrider8449
      @bluntrider8449 ปีที่แล้ว

      Then I suppose you will have to separate those letters because different vinyl colours will be required with multiple cuts of each letter I guess
