So happy to hear this! Thanks so much for checking it out and watching!
I am glad you addressed the issue of whether or not a design was automatically published for others to use. That was one of the main preconceived ideas I had and kept me from subscribing. I had signed up and played with this program when it was still Heritage a few years ago. Thank you for doing these over-views and tutorials!
You are welcome! Thanks for watching!

Can I use the Photos for publishing on kdp please? Thanks, I could watch you all day!
Hey there! Yes, the images in Kittl from the photo panel are copyright free, so you shouldn't have any issues.
Great tutorial! Most people rush through their material making it hard to learn.
Glad you enjoyed it.
This App is absolutely Amazing! Wow! So Cool!
Thank you! 🙌
Awesome instructions, new to Kittl but I know once I learn it I will use it a lot.
Glad it was helpful!
I just signed up 2 days ago...and I LOVE IT!
Glad to hear that!
Very helpful thank you. I am looking forward to it seamlessly working with the ipad. Hoping that is coming soon.
Glad it was helpful! You should be able to do most everything on the iPad now, albeit with some glitches of course! But it works!
@@Kittldesign AWESOME!! thank you for your response, I will check it out
Wow yes this was absolutely helpful can I use this with my circuit cut by uploading to my design space this is amazing
Yes! We actually have a video going through creating a design and then using the Cricut to make a t-shirt. Check it out here: th-cam.com/video/V6eGUPPr7Nc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=i4WYPkGGGnnLBvFz
Yup, most of the time for me is the font side of it! Great video!!
Thanks for sharing, and for watching!
I really appreciate the quick preview of this application. Perhaps I missed it, is there a way to organize the various branding files for clients?
So glad this was helpful! In terms of organizing client files, etc. we are working on a libraries feature that should be coming soon!
Hi, Drew today is the fast day to watch and get you on the Kittl site
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the tips on new features. I've been using Kittl for a while but you covered some stuff that's been there all along and I didn't know how to use it until today. Is there a tutorial on using the masks (which seem to be a new feature)?
- the only addison
Yep! You can check out the masking tutorial here: th-cam.com/video/GWCbgng1MEY/w-d-xo.html
Thanks Drew! very interesting and motivating MasterClass, I need to find out the way to sell my designs for POD T-Shirts, thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hey Drew, Great video!! There's only one thing I would suggest.... add a disclaimer to tell people to grab a napkin, because they will drool!!! hahaha I absolutely love this
Glad to hear that!
Wow this program looks amazing and so well thought out! When using a template, is there any way to tell if an element belongs to Kittl or if a user uploaded it themselves? My concern is accidentally using a trademarked or copyrighted element in a design I’m selling. Etsy really doesn’t play around with that and I’ve put too much time into my shop to lose it 😅 super excited to start designing with this! Great tutorial 😊
Hey there, great question! It is definitely important to always check if something is allowed for use. While most all templates you see on Kittl will be created using Kittl elements and Illustrations, there may be users that wish to upload their own artwork, or another graphic in the template. We make it clear in our policies that anything published to Kittl must be allowed for both personal and commercial use by the whole Kittl community. Users are not allowed to upload licensed graphics they purchased elsewhere. So it is up to the user to ensure this responsibility. However, most all templates you see on our home page and by our collaborative creators were made using solely Kittl elements, illustrations, or with Kittl AI. Thanks for the question!
Thanks Drew! Such helpful, detailed content. I don't have any formal training in graphic design or tee shirt design. Do you recommend I take a course before diving into POD? Or just drive right in?
The first place we recommend is checking out our other longer tutorials here on the channel! We have a ton of information about POD, utilizing SEO and market research tools, and even showing you inside some of the platforms so you can get comfortable when signing up to use one.
Hello - I'm loving Kittl. Thanks for this detailed tutorial. Is it possible to duplicate a canvas/artboard in order to slightly modify a design (example - changing out one word) and then download all the designs at once?
Hey there! Multiple artboard capability is coming soon, so stay tuned!
2 questions: Can I add a gradient effect to font! And can I adjust the kerning for just one letter in a word, or does it effect the whole word? Thank you! I’m enjoying the heck out of using this program!!! Easy and fun!
Great questions! You can apply a gradient to fonts! Check this video out here: th-cam.com/video/kPVmREgsQyQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=GVw4za4lkiaOMVJE
Adjusting kerning with one word is currently being worked on, stay updated!
This was a great video! I have just started using Kittl and I am enjoying it! What does the little crown symbol mean (I have seen this under some design elements etc.)?
Great question! The crown symbol signifies a premium (pro) assets, meaning that they are only available to use for Pro and Expert subscription holders.
@@Kittldesign Thank You! I have the pro version.
Wow! This is a lot! I’ll watch it again and again. 1:04:40
So glad this is helpful for you!
SO USFUL, thank you. So far I am a third of the way in. I have a question, does Kittl work the same on a laptop as on (in my case) an IPad Pro with keyboard. For example, I cannot get the shift/scale to stretch or skew an element to work no matter what I do on my IPad Pro. TIA for any advice.
Hey there! Thanks for the feedback, generally the functionality should be the same on iPad in the browser as it is in our desktop version (but only optimized for Chrome on the iPad). Due to the OS differences, there is going to be some variability in how certain functions work until we can solidify our own native application you can download for the iPad. So we apologize for any frustrations you run into!
Please advise whether the pro version is free to use for commercial purpose. Also please advise whether the designs should be edited before publish. Thanks.
Hey there, you can read more about our licensing here: www.kittl.com/licensing Yes, with the Pro plan, you can use your projects for commercial use. Only the free plan requires attribution. I do not exactly understand what you mean by whether the designs need to be edited before publishing, but if you publish a design to Kittl, then every Kittl user would have access to use it since it would become a public template. So if you are looking to use Kittl to do client work, there would not be a reason to publish your designs.
Loving this example- having a kiddo who plays DND and having played a bit myself.... )
Glad the video was helpful!
Hi ! how to add multiple page on our design ?
This feature is coming soon!
Thank you for the great information. I'm just starting out on Kittl. I'm thinking about paying for a month so I don't have to worry about the limitations with the free version. Which should I pay for the month, pro or expert. I figure if I like it and I use it alot, I'll pay for a year after that. Thanks again
Glad to hear you are considering a payed plan! We believe the Pro is perfect for almost every creator, especially if they are just starting out and getting serious about design or print on demand. Of course you can always upgrade or downgrade your account at any time!
Great tutorial. Does kittl have bulk create function?
Hey there! We're not sure what you mean by bulk create, but right now, it is one design art-board creation space, and we are looking at adding multi-artboard capability very soon!
Hi, thanks for the video. One thing I'm not sure about which may be an obvious answer but, you mentioned that creators who publish their work should maybe use stock text. How do I know, as a user of a template for POD if I'm able to use the same text or not? New to Kittl and loving it btw :)
Welcome to Kittl! So glad you're here. And what we meant was, it's best to switch up or customize the text to be specific to you or the niche you are wanting to sell to. So if the text says "Adventure On, Glacier Montana" perhaps think of how you could switch it up. Like "Adventure More" and then of course make it specific to whatever location (if it's relevant). "Stock text" would refer to something like "your name here" or "put the date here" or etc. that would obviously need to be replaced before listing somewhere.
@@Kittldesign That's ok then, that's what I've been doing. Thanks you! Quick response too, you guys are on fire 🔥😃
very helpgul video ! but i just wonder can I use imges in JPG or PNJ formats for print on demand business, will these give the good results in print because sometimes PDF format is not accepted on their websites ...
Yes, with PNGs, you can remove the background, and export in 300 DPI so that the quality of your print will be extremely clear.
I have just found you, thank you for this video, all others reallly dont show anything! Can you tell me if I can make stickers with this platform? Thank you so much
Yes of course! We have several tutorials for that on the channel.
@@Kittldesign THANK YOU
New to Kittl and have watched several Yutes (I nicknamed them that instead of saying TH-cam tutorials!) and Yours is the most thorough by Far! I think you are the Kittl Wizard! I Totally appreciate your help- I finally feel like I can do this! I lag the videos to catch everything as I’m a boomer. Lol Just wondering if you have any suggestions for selling customizable etsy shirts? Specifically for a Gramma where I can add her grandkiddos. Not sure if I should sell single characters so people can pick or display multiple characters on a shirt and they can pick and choose from just one listing? Ok Thank you so much! ~Gen Helms
Hey there! Thanks so much for watching. We have several tutorials as well as interviews where you can learn about customizable shirts for Etsy. Perhaps this is a good video to start with, as you can adapt the topic to what you need: th-cam.com/video/NlDzUjecj-E/w-d-xo.htmlsi=8wlvyl8gZtlc0l81
Can I export my designs from Kittl to Adobe Illustration so I can separate the colors for screen printing tees? I would need to create registration marks for each color per screen.
Yes with the Pro and Expert accounts you can export an SVG to continue working in a program like Illustrator.
❤
🙏
I just found out about Kittl, from browsing TH-cam. I am familiar with Graphics programs, however how does one know if a graphic created or modified in your canvas work area is suitable as far as the finished product goes for POD?
Good question! You can easily see the pixel dimensions of your artboard by clicking on the Cog wheel, and you can also control the DPI settings when you are going to export your design, ensuring that it will be 300 DPI for your print products. Cheers.
Hi Drew, I want to use some weed leaves in designs and some tree images unique to my area in my designs. Can you upload your own photos or drawings to Kittle, or how would you do it?
Yes, you can upload your own assets and images to Kittl, check out this video where you can see right at the beginning where the uploads button is on the left: th-cam.com/video/Fzd6wbp-HH8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=G5cEGlCO7BJKHbWl
Is it possible to knockout text (make transparent)? For example...I have a white circle with the word TEST in the center. I want to print it on various color shirts so the text does not actually get printed but will be the color of whatever the garment is. I don't want the text to have a border.
Hey there! We are working on masking features for text, so definitely stay tuned.
I love Kittl. It's the easiest to use, best templates by far and the support team is dynamite. But payment methods keeps me from buying any of the plans. Can't use prepaid cards, PayPal or even cash, all because those methods can't be used to automatically renew subscriptions. Man, you guys are leaving millions and millions of dollars on the table. Oh well, sucks to be me. Keep up the good work guys you have a wonderful product there.
Hey there! Sorry for any frustration with the payment methods, but because we are a subscription based tool, we enlist the safest and full-proof payment methods for both the payee as well as our company, to protect both the user and business. We are looking into how to integrate PayPal in the future, but purchasing a Kittl subscription is not a "one-time" product, and we will have to investigate as to whether PayPal can support a subscription type method. Thanks for the feedback. Cheers!
@@Kittldesign it does. I pay for a different subscription service with it. When there is no money in my PayPal account, it pulls it from the account that’s connected to it.
Is there a way to filter fonts based upon genre? I.e. retro, the 1970's. I find fonts on the web and try to id which Kittl fonts most closely match.
Yes! In the search bar in the type settings panel, you can type in a keyword like "vintage" and fonts in that style will show.
Hi Drew, thanks for this tutorial, I need it but my screen is not showing what you are decribing, is because I am still in the free trial mode ? 🤔
Hey there! We have sense made some bigger UI updates to how Kittl looks, and we are currently working on putting an even better full walkthrough together. But for now, if you need help finding something specific, you can reach out to our live chat support (via the Help tab in the bottom left corner) and someone will walk you through how to find it. :)
Can you use kittl for DT f's? Or is it only used for print on demand?
Yes, you can of course order DTG or DTF transfers with Kittl designs for merch/apparel.
Great Video! Say I want only a single word texted how would I do that?
Hey there! We are not entirely sure what you mean. Can you explain?
About bringing in our own fonts. Is there a way to organize, label or categorize them? In other words keep them separate from Kittl fonts?
Also thank you. Great video.
We are working on this and know it is a necessity! We will update everyone when that is available.
I need some photos of Eastern White Pine made into graphics/linedrawings. Then I need to layer them with other line drawings of the state for example. Can that be done?
Hey there! You should be able to search for pine trees over in our photos panel. We have state illustrations in the elements panel as well.
Hi, i love the video, what can i use for free i read the terms but confused i do pod so i wanted to see what i can do for free ?
Great question. With the free version, you have a limited ability in terms of download resolution, so in terms of Print On Demand, stickers and magnets are a great option, as well as any designs that have a full background on them. The Pro and Expert versions of Kittl allow you to download higher resolutions as well as removing the background from your designs to put on things like T-Shirts.
drew . i new at POD and started using kittle. Any templates for coffee mugs...if not what is the correct pixel numbers. i saw you did a monogram tutorial but i did not see the pixels. thanks. please reply.
Hey there! For coffee mugs, I would also defer to the print providers specifications, whether that's Printful or Printify or whatever else. You can easily take any template and change the artboard size to the size that you need it. This will depend on what kind of mug you want to sell.
If I go with free plan in kittl. Am I allowed to use every image for free or should I give attribution. If yes, then how should I give attribution? And is it important?
Hey there! Using the free Kittl plan commercial requires attribution. A prompt will come up on your screen once you export a design showing you exactly what must be done to give credit to Kittl depending on the medium you are going to use the design (social, Web, print, video, etc.) However, the Pro and Expert accounts do not require attribution. Hope this helps. And thanks for asking!
if we are printing our designs does 'optimise quality' make a difference? Or is it purely for digital use? Thank you
Hey there! Optimize quality let's the browser take a little bit more time to smoothen out pixels for projects you are going to print on, mainly for project files like PDF.
