Over the next year, I'm going to be finishing up this series, starting a new mini-series on a different Fallout game and making some more F:NV modding videos too. There is a Boomer Suit that is used in one of the missions. Lonely Hearts I believe. Where you pair the Boomer up with the girl from Crimson Caravans. When she wears the suit it allows her free passage into the Boomer Air Base.
Yeah, its given to her and the perimeter guards are told to keep a look out for her. So while its not how a disguise would work with the other factions, it is still a neat quest :D
yeah it was a short time, that's true, but as you can learn from this series the blame isnt entirely at the hands of whoever set time constraints. obsidian way overscoped for the project and it caused a lot of wasted time and effort.
@@jacksonelh When you make a proper sequel for Fallout 2, it's hard NOT to overscope, given the legacy. BESIDES, Fallout 3 had a lot less content and took a lot longer to make.

It takes a very mature mindset to not shift the burden onto others and admit their own mishandling. That said they I cannot fault them for wishing to do all that they could. I would rather art strive to be more than aim to be less.

When seeing the Focus icon i thought that it looked a bit like an eye dropper bottle. Maybe it was supposed to be a chem that would be applied to the eyes, possibly to raise your perception in order to "focus" better? I'd like to see what it actually was in a future game or something.
Honestly i think the main reason that .30-30 was cut was because no rifles existing in the game other than brush gun and trail carbine which are modeled after Marlin lever actions which would take the .30-30. Instead making a niche caliber that could only be used in a handful of weapons they instead made the lever actions take relatively common revolver cartridges. Nobody would use the weapons that use .30-30 if it was more expensive than .44 Magnum but did less damage than .45-70. The way to counter that could be adding more guns that take the caliber and making it a faction weapon but obviously that was unnecessary and not a priority. Nonetheless i find it strange they have the pistol caliber Winchester 92 (cowboy repeater) but not the rifle caliber Winchester 94. It's easier to see why they scraped .30-30 at a time without a weapon modification system where you can change the caliber of firearms. There would be practical duplicates of guns only really differing in size and stats otherwise.

I remeber the pond in Jakobs town on the Xbox version of fallout nv. I just never realised it was gone when I moved to the pc version for modding purposes

The Focus chem looks like a homemade eyedropper, so maybe it helped the Courier by stabilizing weapon sway or reducing weapon recoil, principally when using sniper rifles with scopes attached.
It's super easy to bring back the pond in Jacobstown. Oddly enough when restoring it in my game the pond is actually two separate halves in different cells. Lead to some fun troubleshooting 😅
Never knew there was a pond at Jacobstown. I'm currently in the middle of an unpatched New Vegas run on my 360 and had to travel there to see it for myself. Maybe I don't remember it since it was removed pretty soon after release.
Someone made a mod that put them into Fallout 4 (thanks to the bloodworm frame and animations from Nuka World). Would have been really neat to have them in 3 and NV.
I've played on both the Xbox 360 and Xbox One, with both an original version and an ultimate version and they both have a pond outside the jacobstown resort.

I think New Vegas would have been a lot better if the console's could have handled all the stuff that they were going to put in like the strip for instance
I wish they would’ve done more with some nice smiles maybe you could have gone back to good springs and the recruiter our SI company on a really liked her personality as well as her looks hell even the romance option would have worked just something me and her really bonded killing rats scorpions
Damn. So bummed out that Floaters got cut only because of money reason. I wondered how Japanese companies with good animations like Dark Souls really cope with cost? Maybe their animation team and talents are for more advanced than western counterpart. Or their unique work ethics keep the costs down.
Yeah there's two cut sewer cells, The NorthWest and SouthWest Sewers. Some of the content that would've appeared there was recycled to the remaining sewers. They're both filled with Fiends, so it's likely they were just dungeons. The Thorn had some of its content cut as well.

Radscorpion poison doing burn damage might be an after effect of early coding for applying a damage over time
That's good speculation and very likely what's going on with that item
