Anybody who watches him regularly knows that 99.9% of the stories that he tells have nothing at all to do with being a Navy seal. He’s just a damn good storyteller.!
Mr.Ballen was severally wounded serving his country and that is more than enough to earn respect. His success on YT is because he tells interesting stories, which take a lot of research to put together and put into production and he is a very good storyteller. He deserves his success.

As the daughter of a SEAL, I've always had major respect for Mr. Ballen. He's never disrespectful, grandiose, or talks about things he shouldn't be. Also, he's doing big things with charities and supporting his family! There is NOTHING wrong with that!! The "community" rejecting him needs to take a long, hard look at their own hearts.
If you serve the country you have the right to be proud of your service.
As a fellow veteran, why is it bad to be proud to have served your country? Mr Ballen rocks and he doesn't need to explain himself to anyone. Thanks for this video 👍
Mr. Ballen is hands down, in my humble opinion, the best storyteller on TH-cam. He's magnetic and hypnotic. He doesn't take himself too seriously, but he always shows the utmost respect for the victims who's story he's telling. He's also got a foundation that helps families of victims of violent crime. So not only did he serve his country in the SEALS, he is continuing to serve the people of this country that truly need it. He does it out of the kindness of his heart. He's a great dude as far as I'm concerned. Screw the active duty guys that gave him grief for telling his story. Jealousy is ugly no matter the form it takes, or the person harboring it.
Mr ballen is a solid guy, doesn’t get into anything controversial, served his country at the highest level and can tell a great story. People should leave the man alone and let him be
As a combat vet we have to stick together and look out for each other not tear each other down this is beyond stupid!
Mr Ballen took care of his mental health after serving which may be sadly lacking with the current "community".
A clique disowned him, the community welcomes him wholeheartedly.

Friend or Foe
Nothing but respect for Mr Ballen. Never lets his ego play up or has a bad thing to say about anyone, very humble guy with a good heart. Great researcher and story teller.
Mr Ballen has built one of the friendliest, most supportive, positive and safe communities on any social media platform. We admire him for being a SEAL, but more importantly because he has built a safe haven for people all around the world who, for numerous reasons, do better just because of what Mr Ballen does and for himself. This is his community, the one he built all by himself, and he should be so proud of that. Never let the b*st*rods bring you down John.
