Leo is old enough to teach him to help pick up toys. When my son was that age, I made a game out of it. I said let's see who can pick up the toys the fastest! It was always fun and he always wanted to do it.

amazing how kids hate to pick their toys up, end up having them all over the floor, but then most of them grown into some super-neat and organized adults.
I absolutely love Trent’s sister, she is such a calm and happy presence in the background. Also, Allie you just do an amazing job filming, editing and narrating.
I also must give Allie her kudos for how well she keeps the house together and tidy during this renovation. Not an easy task

@@dawnbaker9274He needs to be careful with his back or he won't be able to work on the house. Take it from someone with back issues. My healthcare career ruined my back; luckily I'm now retired. Already had one back surgery in 2016 and am supposed to have another(at a different lumbar level). Never went back to work after the first.
Im in the thick of dealing with bad decisions causing huge back issues with a family member. PLEASE! Don't be that person. You're too young to be in pain constantly and you don't want to limit your ability to enjoy life and your family because you haven't taken the health of your back seriously. I don't know the deets but I do know your back will only tolerate abuse for so long before it says ENOUGH. I'm old enough to be your Mom so consider this THAT kind of advice. Let you back heal 100% and don't overdo it going forward.

I'm 64 and you just gave him 100% sound and true advice . He does not want to blow his back out now and sit on sidelines of raising his youngest sons and I have a feeling they are going to be go getters. You know camping , helping dad build and play in the truck , snow skiing. Martial arts is fun but is it worth those other things ? I hope they are still filming when those times get here . They will be good times indeed.

Contact sports..idk I'm a nurse and a little phobic but you can pick up viruses that way or staph infections from skin to skin contact..listen to me sounding like a Mom nurse😅😅
My youngest daughter back issues from her horse dumping her, on her second year of chiropractor treatments! Second daughter lifted something to heavy, several surgeries! My 6’6’ son surgeries! PLEASE STOP BEFORE YOU HAVE A LIFE TIME OF SUFFERING like my kids are going through! Just care! ❤
TRENT, DON’T JUMP OFF FROM THE SCAFFOLDING!! This compresses the spine causing more back pain and in general more issues later on. I used to work in a chiropractic office and learned way too late about this same thing and now living with back issues on a regular basis. Listen to your followers!!
I have said the same to him. I lived with serious back pain and couldn't get up to go to the toilet....He is not listening and it's sad. He has a young active son and another baby on the way. He has mega work to finish his addition, he needs to stop the sport he's in. Thank you for your message to him and others...Take Care!
Many have been giving warnings...but he won't listen. I have major back issues myself, one surgery behind me and another to go. Back issues are nothing to ignore. Many days I can't do what I need to around the house. I'm a retired Occupational Therapist.

I think you should hire the people who did the dry wall in your garage. Leo is talking so much more and I am glad you talk to him in adult talk and not baby talk. May I ask what are those balloon things hanging from you windows. Have a lovely day.
Figured I would give you a reply on the "window balloon things". They had them in their house too. It is because they have multiple panes of glass with Argon gas between. The balloon contains argon, the same gas used to fill the gap between the window panes, and is part of a proprietary system to address problems associated with the low atmospheric pressure at high elevations. a small number of windows shipped to high- altitude job sites will develop problems. The balloons are left there till the weather warms and the pressure between the panes has a chance to equalize, then they are removed. Also I hope they also sub out the drywall, but as they are no hurry for the new addition they may not, take care. 😉

Back in '83, April 28 we had a blizzard. I, my 3 daughters Linda her 2 daughters and 2 sons were snowed in at her house for 5 days. Michael, the oldest, would grab the rope to get to the barn to feed the calf. His mom and I stood at the window until we saw him safely heading to the house. Day 3 someone snowmobiled in milk, eggs and flour. Quite the experience.
Funny the memories that come flooding back sometimes!
I think a simple arch in that doorway would compliment and match the sunroom arches very nicely!

I would suggest putting sound dampening insulation around the drain pipes between the floors to help dampen the sound in the bedrooms Just for for an added barrier of sound proofing if you get up in the night and flush the toilet or if you want to shower after you put the kid to bed

Maybe Trent should think about seeing a doctor about his back, and maybe getting a medically approved back brace. Speaking from the viewpoint of experience with lifelong back issues and wishing I had not been so dismissive of my back pain when I was young! When young we all think we are indestructible.

@wabbit7606 you are so right dealing with a back injury over years takes a toll. My husband sustained a back injury and lived in pain for 25 years having several back operations. The last one gave at last gave him relief for the first time, only one year on he was diagnosed with cancer we lost him within weeks, it was cruel to see him pain-free at last. I think Trent has a personality that he will not listen to the warnings of others
@@9eyeswideopenSo sorry about your husband... From my former career in healthcare I have major back issues, too. Had one surgery in 2016 which gave me relief and am supposed to have another. Yes, Trent probably needs an MRI but won't do it. We know that just rest doesn't heal a major back injury if that's what he has.

I'm sure you all get tons of suggestions from folks on what to do about million topics and probably don't need to hear this, but I suffered for decades with back issues in my 30s and 40s. After trying everything from chiropractic to acupuncture, the one thing that benefited me absolutely the most was deep muscle massage. It is painful but it brings remarkable results and actually was the one thing that got me back on my feet and kept me going. Things are looking great!!
That little squirrel/chipmunk/prairie dog is called a Pika.
Potguts are actually different than Pikas. Potguts are Uinta ground squirrels which are a little bigger than Pikas.
@@kelcor74 Pikas are of the same Order as rabbits (Lagomorpha), where as Potguts are of the same Order as squirrels (Rodentia). Equally as cute, but as relations, that ends with their common Class - Mammalia. And never the twain shall meet.

We have done 4 major renovations to our home, one on each side at different times. We, also, lived in our house each time. The first occurred when we were expecting our second child. Concrete dust and drywall dust everywhere! Not fun, but when we look back, the memories are beautiful! Our first son, 16 months, helping Dad, and with each consecutive build, our daughters getting involved as well! Makes it a family home! Our children are now adults, building onto their own homes to make them functional for their families. Enjoy this time, Leo is learning skills he will take with him when he has a home of his own!

We had a blizzard in Milwaukee back in the 70s, in April. With the amount of moisture coming up from the gulf that time of year, it dumped 6 feet of snow on us in the suburbs. We lived at the top of quite a steep hill. My dad had to park at the bottom of the subdivision 1/2 mile away on the main road and walk up. Since our house was a tri-level, we had to dig a tunnel to get out through the lower level doors. Seriously tunnel through to get out. Crazy memories as a teen. It did make excellent snow forts though, and amazing sledding for the whole neighborhood.

Alli, I relate to how you are feeling being pregnant. I too felt that way too and felt so guilty because everyone else around me seemed to enjoy it. I was happy when my third one was born. I know it’s hard, but just try to let it be part of your world. Once the new baby is born your whole world will be so much more out of whack. Enjoy this time. The calm before the storm.

I've been watching for a couple years now and have always wanted to go to Utah. My sister lives in a suburb of SLC, last week around the release of the last video i was informed that my presence was requested to help her move. Right now, I'm sitting on her patio in Murray watching you guys!!! I'm still in awe watching the mountains and their ultimate beauty. I never thought in all my years I would finally see them. Definitely a bucket list item checked off for sure!!

I've got a back brace similar to that. You really need to crank them as hard as you can so they are nice and tight to hold those muscles snug. They can work if you have them on correctly. 👍

This wk Im commending Trent for all the work he puts into the home. He makes it look so easy. Im very impressed with his energy and constructing his home for the family.
After my husband injured his back when farming, he tried the same kind of back support Trent is wearing. He finally went to the doctor who said the back support was doing more harm than good. May seem impossible but the best medicine is rest!! My husband realized this the hard way!!!

I brought a baby into a full fledged construction zone, we had no running water. You survive. Babies survive, even sanity survives. You are lucky, all the guys who worked on our addition were moderately functional alcoholics. Our upstairs flooring was 1/2 inch off from the old floor. Oddly enough. I miss that house. My last kid was born in the downstairs bathroom.
Am I the only one that noticed the trademark closing of the video was not there? I love seeing Trent with his arm around Allie and the image of together we can accomplish anything! That said awesome video! Your video closing is like the theme song to friends you just can't change it !!! lol

Allie, whats funny was when you and Trent, and the guys were trying to get the addition dried in, it seems that it was only yesterday that this dry in was going on. Winter has gone fast. The addition looks great. Leo is getting so big.
Trent…Kenesio tape works every time for me, instant pain relief and actually resolves my issues within 3 days. Always amazed such a simple thing works. It makes space with a slight lift of the skin for more oxygen to flow. Works best on my back.
Just noticed Leo resembles his grandpa. Allies dad. Smiles like him. He’s growing up fast!
